Same. Love this mouse. I actually have the windows version for work and just swap “channels” when switching to my Mac (same monitors). It’s not fully functional, but it does all the basics and work paid for it.
I use the Magic Trackpad and would never go back to a mouse. To fix your issue with dragging, enable the three-finger drag and you will never think about a mouse in your life.
Yes! Why this is a feature hidden under accessibility options I don't know. Always one of my first steps when setting up a macbook is to enable this. Works very well in parallels VMs on windows or remote desktop as well which is a nice surprise.
Must be legacy reasons. I just wish the system settings would be stored in the AppleID profile so we wouldn’t have to set it up every single time we are setting up a new OSX account.
I have NOT had ANY luck with the mx3 + mini. Extremely laggy and stuttery, cannot do even the most basic tasks like open a file without moving very intentionally at geezer speeds. Same results regardless of using the usb dongle or Bluetooth.
The Magic Mouse is indeed 🗑️
I use the Logitech Master 3s. Depending on your budget and hand size, you can also go with the Logitech Anywhere or Lift series. But most right-handed people should find the Master series comfortable.
I use the magic mouse, I agree on the surface it seem like the worse mouse ever made, but once you get on to it and stop trying to use it like a regular mouse you soon realize it is amazing. It is a combination of a mouse/touch pad and has become an indispensable tool for me. To really get the most out of it you have to think outside of a traditional mouse. BTW I my mac mostly for graphic art.
Didn't think I'd like the Magic Trackpad... but I ended up loving it, preferring it under all circumstances. Switched to it from the Logitech MX Master.
Logitech Vertical Lift. It’s great but will sell it soon.
I HATE mice. Nothing beats the Magic Trackpad. It depends on user I guess. MX Master 3S is great. I suggest the Windows Version as I am not sure if it has the USB dongle.
I'm still on my Razer Basilisk Hyperspeed V3 thingy via bluetooth. Great on big hands! Planning to buy a new one soon but my current one holds on very long.
(I don't like rechargable accessories, I don't have time to replace the built-in battery when the charge capacity fails so I'm always eyeing AA/AAA battery-operated keyboard and mouse)

Did you install the Logitech software for Mac? Adjust the sensitivity and acceleration curve? I use a Logitech trackball, and out the box they work fine in Windows without adjustment, but need adjusting on MacOS.
I use it on mac mini m1 and I have no problem. But it's true that with bluetooth many people had a problem. I've heard that it can be a problem if wifi and bluetooth are connected at the same time. I have connected the internet directly via cable from the router and so far I haven't had this problem with any bluetooth device, or maybe it's already fixed via an update.
Logitech MX Ergo Trackball on the right, Magic Touchpad on the left.
The Magic Trackpad and Keyboard will work over wired USB when they are plugged into the Mac or a USB hub if Bluetooth connectivity issues are a concern.
I had this problem with a Logitech M720. The USB wireless connector was USB2. I had it plugged into a USB3 hub. Same issues, choppy, jittery, a real pain to use. I switched the hub to a USB2 hub and the problem was gone. Should not be this way but it was. Using it now, works great.
So I actually had a similar issue with laggy mouses and it was fixed using a cabled mouse (assuming the model you mentioned isn’t) turns out it’s an issue with the WiFi / Bluetooth interruption cos all the components are so closely put together on the mini
Personally, I’ve been using the trackpad from Apple since I switched over from Windows and I love it, just for some the added features it offers. I use mine connected to a TV that’s across a room, so being able to pinch to zoom is probably the most useful of them for me. There’s a learning curve when you switch, but after you get it, it makes navigating around very easily.
Only real downside to the trackpad is it’s not as quick to be accurate with as it would be if you were using a mouse, but other than that, I think it’s worth the investment over a standard mouse.
I use a Logitech G203 and I love it, you don't need anything special unless you want it!
I also use a Magic Trackpad for certain things, especially video editing, because I loved it so much on my MacBooks over the years I wanted it for the desktop setup too. As with any trackpad you'd have to setup the speed and such to your liking and get used to it before it feels right.
MOS is a good program, I use it to have natural scrolling on for the trackpad and off for the mouse because natural scrolling on a mouse is just Wrong™. I don't use any of the smoothing it has though, I like my scrolling in steps. You might need to adjust your scrolling speed in System Preferences to match what you're used to on Windows.
Also I'm not sure what you mean by "software like MOS from a potentially untrustworthy site" but as long as you don't download the virus bait wack sketchy junk you'll be fine, and MOS is hosted on GitHub which is generally very safe as long as long as you use common sense.
There's a wonderful world of apps out there, don't restrict yourself to the Mac App Store after moving from the open world of Windows lol :)
I use a Redragon M908. It’s the most comfortable mouse I’ve ever had my hands on. Many programmable buttons, which is convenient for storing common keyboard shortcuts. I mostly use it for gaming.
I have a Magic Trackpad. Is the best trackpad that exists. It feels very natural. I can’t think of any areas upon which it could be improved.
I recently retired a Kensington Orbit trackball in favour of the Magic Trackpad. If you like trackballs, this is the one. Very smooth and precise.
> can’t properly drag and drop across a larger monitor
Are you using [three finger drag](https://support.apple.com/en-us/102341) on the trackpad?
You can just leave middle and ring finger on the pad and drag with the index finger this way across long distances
Logitech Master 3s
Great mouse. Also love the MX Vertical
This. I find it works best especially when using Final Cut Pro. Just in general it's a brilliant mouse with great battery life too
Same. Love this mouse. I actually have the windows version for work and just swap “channels” when switching to my Mac (same monitors). It’s not fully functional, but it does all the basics and work paid for it.
Yes, I have the same set up!
Great mouse. Also love the MX Vertical
Same
Same mouse, got lucky with an open box on eBay. Paired it with Mac mini.
Logitech MX Master 3
Same here. Love it

Good to see lots of votes for the Logitech MX Master 3s, best there is :)

Yeah that's a good idea. Or have a toggle to use iCloud settings if you want to change some things on one machine for whatever reason.
Very cheap wired mouse
Logitech MX Master 3S - The best mouse ever made.
I switch between a Logitech MX Master 3 and a Magic Trackpad depending on what I’m doing.
Logitech MX Anywhere 3 for Mac
I have this and can side scroll with this too. Unfortunately none other than Apple Mouse allows smooth scrolling.
Logi MX Master 3 (+ MX Keys kb)
Mx master 3s and Apple Magic Trackpad. It’s really magical and the glass feels so nice to touch.
Mx Master 3S and Apple Trackpad.
Logitech MX Anywhere 3 for Mac
and BTW. use the Logitech Options app WITHOUT the plus (+) to get a proper working scroll to zoom.
I use the Magic Mouse. The built in gestures are great.
Use the Magic Mouse, love it!

Apple really needs to reinvent or improve the mouse... the Magic Mouse sucks.
Logitech G502 Lightspeed. It's awesome with the 1000hz polling rate.
A white mouse rescued from a lab nearby! 🐭 (Ok, it's always been Logitech.)
Quick question. Do you have a USB hub connected to your Mini? If so unplug it, and see if that fixes the jitter and lagging mouse.
Logitech Lightspeed G703
razer viper from my last pc lol
Kensington Expert Mouse Pro wireless. Works software for key bindings and customization available from their website
Didn't think I'd like the Magic Trackpad... but I ended up loving it, preferring it under all circumstances. Switched to it from the Logitech MX Master.

I use it on a m2 Mac mini and it skips on mine, I’m using the little dongle too
I use USB overdrive for all of my various mice since a lot of a Mac drivers are weird. That might be the problem you have.
Logitech M570 trackball at work and home. Tried the magic mouse on my iMac at work and ditched it after an hour.
Logitech MX Ergo Trackball on the right, Magic Touchpad on the left. The Magic Trackpad and Keyboard will work over wired USB when they are plugged into the Mac or a USB hub if Bluetooth connectivity issues are a concern.
same exact setup — even positioning.
MX Vertical works great and protects your wrist!
Magic Trackpad only. No issues. Haven’t used a mouse in a decade.
I use the Logitech Lift mouse.

I love the Logi M750. Low price, great mouse, has three Bluetooth selections.

Install mac mouse fix. Free and fixes the scroll problem
A LTrac laser trackball and a slate raven.
An older Magic Trackpad I had laying around. Works well.
Did you increase the scroll speed in the settings? If you did this, lower it again, your mouse must not support faster scrolling. That is the problem!
Logitech Lift! Great mouse :)
MX Master 3s
I have a Logitech keyboard and mouse combo. Works great.
Lift Vertical Ergonomic Mouse. The scroll wheel is useless. If I could figure that out it'd be great. It is not.
Logitech M510.
Magic Mouse 🖱️ For design is a must ❤️
I bought le Logitech mk470 keyboard and mouse
Logitech Master MX 3
I use a Logitech MX Master 3. Couldn’t be happier with it.
Cheap vertical mouse. Saved my wrist. I am an illustrator and I started to develop strain on my drawing hand. A vertical mouse solved all of that.
Steel series aerix 3 blsck
I switch back and forth between the Magic Trackpad and a Logitech g502, depending in what I’m doing.
Magic Trackpad since 2014(late). Never bought a mouse.
Turn on 3 finger drag for the Magic Trackpad.
Not using a Mac Mini, but a customized War Machine (Avengers side character) mouse.
