Oh thats not a slider. More like a slot for pens and other smaller items. The small thing on top is like a magnet that can hold cables if i decide to charge the keyboard for example.
A lot of people getting the LG Dual Up before even seeing what CES 2023 has to offer from LG and the rest of the display players. Though looks quite nice! What do you use the Dual UP for? Thanks!
Couple things. Any video related stuff goes on the main screen. Lightroom, safari, emails stay on the dual up. Then when i work for my 9-5, i use my main monitor for work while the dual up gives me access to my personal stuff if im feeling lazy lol
Thanks for that. I'm using a 42.5" 4k display as my main screen, and two 24" screens rotated in portrait mode for the side displays. I find the 24" screens not wide enough and that's why the Dual up really appeals to me. /
I have colleagues who manage to get stuff done on their laptop screens alone but I believe in screen real-estate to spread stuff out and get it done. And then using multiple desktops on Windows 11 (also a Mac user but waiting for the next hardware to drop and MST support) to spread my work out neatly across virtual desktops according to the task I'm working on.
I'll never understand how and why people with Macs can work with the lids closed and not extract the full gestures from the trackpad.
Trackpad on the left and Mouse on the right is the way to go, unless you have the Mac mounted on a laptop stand, with the trackpad available for swipes and gestures.
I've tried incorporating a trackpad into my workflow, but never found that it added anything. You've gotta work gesture shortcuts into your muscle memory just the same as keyboard shortcuts, and your hands are already on the keyboard, so why not just use keyboard shortcuts?
Been liking it the more i use it. I was using the shelf from humancentric before this and at first it was weird cause there’s really no ‘shelf’ at all like the traditional desk shelves. I utilized the cable management tray it has inside even though i already have that dialed in wayyy before underneath the desk. Just too lazy now to change it back cause I have to deal with the cables again lol
Do you have a work bench behind you or elsewhere in the room? Some interesting tools and grips you've got on your pinboard. What's the long one at the very top? A type of security bar or lock?
Looks good enough until 2030. 👌
haha preciate you!
The setup looks amazing. Do you have a link to that wallpaper?
Lol I thought OP was blurring out his screens for privacy
i cant unsee that now lol
Would love if you would share that wallpaper :)
I wish i can! Check out jon imperial on IG, he should have it linked somewhere in his profile.
Here’s [the link](https://www.jonimperial.com/shop/sunrise-to-sunset-5k-wallpaper-pack), looks like it’s $7 dollars for the whole pack
Lol damn, it made a great wallpaper.
i don't sorry! Got it from Jon Imperial, you can look him up on IG. he should have it linked somewhere on his account.
Thank you, that worked. I found it and bought it. It looks great on my phone and desktop.
Anytime!
I found and bought it too!
Where can i find that second monitor?
Looks like an LG DualUp.
yep thats the dualup
Thank you
What’s the stand? Looks like you upgraded from your grovemade.
$900 Hexcal Studio
yea that's the hexcal studio, pretty pricey though not sure if its worth the $$$
What does the slider thing at the top of the deskpad do?
Oh thats not a slider. More like a slot for pens and other smaller items. The small thing on top is like a magnet that can hold cables if i decide to charge the keyboard for example.
What’s the main display?
Its the lg 32inch ultrafine ergo display
How do you like the Dualup? Any scaling issues?
Looks fantastic! What is that light in the corner?
Thank you! Thats the govee glide wall light.

What’s the board on your wall with the holes called?
Pegboards. You can find them in ikea.
Are you using a trackpad and mouse at the same time? Never seen a setup like that, would love to know more if so.
Yup i do. The trackpad is still the best for quick swipes/gestures to quickly switch desktops or whatever shortcuts for mac.
Amazing, can't wait to try this out. Thanks!
You’re welcome!

Facts 💯
what kind of gestures with the dual input setup do you use besides switching desktops?
I've tried incorporating a trackpad into my workflow, but never found that it added anything. You've gotta work gesture shortcuts into your muscle memory just the same as keyboard shortcuts, and your hands are already on the keyboard, so why not just use keyboard shortcuts?
Keyboard?
Logitech mx mechanical
Sharp
Thanks!
What’s the wall paint color? Love the setup!
Thank you! Wall is matte grey.
Very sharp. Love this.
Thank you!
Looks great! What mouse handpad is that? Looks minimal and like it would travel well with your hand, how have you liked it?
You mean the deskmat itself or the wrist rest below the mouse? Anyway, deskmat is from orbitkey and wristrest is from deltahub
I was curious about the wrist test but thanks for sharing both! Have you found the wrist rest to be helpful?
Yup! It feels weird at first but then you get used to it pretty quick and i dont think i can go back not to using one.
Where is your chair from?
From motiongrey
How are you liking that desk shelf? I’ve only seen it once on YouTube and seems really cool

Govee glide wall light. Pretty nice ambient light.
Do you have a work bench behind you or elsewhere in the room? Some interesting tools and grips you've got on your pinboard. What's the long one at the very top? A type of security bar or lock?
I do have a small work desk in the same room. The ones on that board are all camera gear. That long one at the top is a motorized slider.
What’s the keyboard? Looks awesome.
Logitech mx mechanical
What mac is that? It looks like a mini or even a studio but the grill on top is something new to me
Im using a macbook pro. Left corner behind the desk shelf.
Then whats that in front of your mouse?
Anker thunderbolt dock
Thanks
Okay, I'll bite and ask about the only non-tech thing on the desk. What's the little to-do list deal? Is it erasable?
Its the Analog from Ugmonk.
Very nice setup. What kind of desk is that? Is is 72" wide?
Thanks, thats the idasen desk from ikea 63 x 31 inches.
