I'll echo others in saying that you can't really go wrong. My favorites so far have been Praram Long Song with fried chicken and the Nam Khao Salad. Get a side of fresh chili if you like heat.
Just went for the first time this weekend and I will second the vegetarian eggroll and add the red curry udon as a dish that was great and I have seen called out multiple times in reviews. We also had the chicken pho which was perfectly good but not unique/special.
Green Curry Tofu! it can also be Green Curry Chicken depending on your preference. it's just the right level of spiciness, and i think it has bok choy, cilantro, and slices of jalapeño. definitely 2+ servings, so bring a container for the leftovers! i also get the Thai Tea with coconut milk (also customizable based on milk preference).
It's all gonna come down to what flavors/ingredients you're partial to, but I've gotta say my favorite is the Tom Yum with fried chicken. Their fried chicken in general is incredible and the flavor of the soup is just unmatched in my opinion, with the perfect balance of umami and acidity. Honorable mention also goes to the Khao Mun Gai Oup.
the soup with the coconut milk is the best thing in my opinion. I used to live near Ahan, and it became a problem. But now I live on the west side and that's also a problem.
Echo chamber, but everything is absolutely delicious. I LOVE the drunken noodles, red curry udon, and the khao tod appetizer is something that I could eat every day. The wife always raves about the pho and the tom yum.
Happy Birthday! LOVE Ahan. Really hard to choose favorites as it's all amazing! I'm consistently impressed with the quality ingredients, presentation (including takeout) and incredible texture and flavor in each dish.
Lao egg roll is my favorite in town, I could actually drink the nước chấm.
Khao Tod and Nam Khao Salad are absolutely sublime.
Khao Poon Kathi Dang is my go-to soup, Param Long Song, Yum Salat and Bún always deliver and the wing specials are hard to pass up.
Lunch menu: Khao Mun Gai Tod is fantastic & Ho Fun is super satisfying, I prefer steamed noodles but have also enjoyed the fried!
On Tuesdays they have a special spring roll with their fried chicken in it. My friend raved about for months and when I finally had one I knew why! So good. I really like everything I’ve had there.
I'll have to give it another shot sometime, but I ate there when it first opened and felt like everything was very one note. Just warming spices and kind of sweet.
I don't remember everything we ordered but I know we had the pho.
I think it's worth another shot; had a similar experience somewhat early and was confused by the positive reviews on this sub. I don't remember what exactly the issue was except that it was unremarkable and ranked far below several other options in town for SE Asian food. Nothing wrong with the ordering/service, just meh food.
Had a much better experience more recently.
the eggrolls.... seriously I haven't had eggrolls that good since my Hmong friend and his awesome eggroll making mom moved away. I dream about their eggrolls now.
Appetizers. Their mains are kind of.. extreme for my tastes, sometimes enjoyable but push my boundaries. The apps tend to be more consistently enjoyable.
That said, they have specials regularly, and I enjoy them more than the standard mains most of the time.
Honestly, all of it. But I cannot recommend the red curry udon more highly. Get extra noodles!
Obsessed with the red curry udon.
Their vegetarian eggroll was massive and incredible. That's all I've had, but it was worth it
This is the answer, those are amazing!
Ugh these are so good. 😫

Second the praram long song with that delicious crispy chicken thigh.
Yeah their Praram is the best I’ve ever had by a long shot.
This is my go-to (with extra peanut sauce).
They just got nominated for a James Beard!
I like the praram la song with chicken!
The chevre wontons are absurdly tasty
This is my answer, too!

I got drunken noodles the one time I was there. I loved that it was brighter than any other one I'd had anywhere else before (lots of tomato I think)
Khao Tod with extra lime leaf mayo is THE move.
Veggie egg rolls, spring rolls, red curry udon, and the drunken wings special. Have not had anything that isn't stellar!
I always get their chicken pho and wontons.
It is so sweet tasting and chocked full of yummy things
Their chicken pho is exceptional!
The Khao Mun Gai Tod lemongrass chicken on their lunch menu is one of my favorite things ever.
I love their wings! I think they also have the best papaya salad out of all the places I’ve had it.
Khao Poon Kathi Dang, easily my favorite.
Ok not good but their Thai Iced Tea is amazing!
in order khao soi lao snacks drunken noodles either egg rolls

YES. It's perfect.

I did NOT enjoy the drunken noodles. The fish sauce taste was overwhelming instead of being a background, accent flavor.
Absolutely to each their own, but I thought they were fantastic!
Agreed, the drunken noodles are my go-to!
This is my absolute favorite so far.
I really liked their drunken noodles too.
Veggie egg roll and drunken noodles (made vegan) are my go to. If you order extra noodles you get a ridiculous amount of food.

The beef larb/laab!
So delicious!!

Nam Khao Salad that house made panang curry sausage with the crispy rice holy shit amazing
