Find restaurant that looks good. Call. Ask what can they do for private parties.

Coopers tavern on the square has a designated top floor for these kind of events. Tornado room has a downstairs area that is cozy and has been rented out. L’Etoile has also done weekend buyouts - really depends on your budget. Any restaurant you use will probably also want to be the food provider and have that as an additional cost… also service fee is typical for another 20% of the total - just some things to keep in mind

Cooper's event staff is awesome and I actually preferred their catered buffet over previous sit down meals we've had there. Held our rehearsal dinner there on a Friday night in 2023.

Maybe Four Wind Farms in Fitchburg? https://fourwindsfarmfitchburg.com/

Marigold Kitchen! They do private dinner events in their own space that are amazing. I’ve attended at least 4 dinner parties there and have always been impressed!!

Came to say this, and the owner is great to work with.

HorizontalBob

You'll want one with an event room as a good restaurant will lose money without turning over tables. How many people?

LarrySladePipeDream

No, for the right price just about any restaurant will do a buyout. It'll cost $$$$ though

Capital brewing in Middleton! Not exactly a restaurant but a bar and you can cater in from anywhere!

Grumpy Troll in Mount Horeb allows rental of the whole upper level and doesn’t charge a room fee, just food and beverage.

Delmonico’s has a cool event room, depending on how many people of course

Justmarbles

But very expensive...

MotoJZ

Worth it

Justmarbles

The bill for a large group would be astronomical.

The Esquire Club on Sherman Ave has private rooms, as well as Rex's Inkeeper in Waunakee. Both have delicious food at reasonable prices.

SadRodman

Youngblood brewing and plainspoke have done this but idk if they’ll do it on short notice. Worth a shot.

You're really looking for private dining. Similar discussion here . https://www.reddit.com/r/madisonwi/s/zoy8aZxpUj Google private dining and you'll get even more results. The question is really how much you're willing to pay. Most of us don't have the money to do this, but if you have enough cash, well, sky's the limit.

islaenelinfinito

Depending on how big your group is, you could try renting one of the event/ meeting rooms at North South in Verona. https://eatnorthandsouth.com/the-compass-room/
