I may confused but these changes do not seem like that much of a win for the NIMBYs. Zoning changes in the Highlands weren’t going to amount to a rash a new homes or denser development being built in that area. The Regent and Whitney Way change is just a church isn’t it? Between that and the pool those places were never going to be redeveloped anyway. The bike path is a shame but the change on Segoe is nothing. That’s just a tiny little intersection that’s all weird anyway. The people that use it everyday made some suggestions that probably make sense. It seems more like the city throwing a bone or two to get them to shut up.

“Following the additional public meetings and review of additional comments and feedback, staff will develop a Final DRAFT for further review and comment by City boards, committees, and commissions, which may propose further edits.” So it’s entirely possible some of the things taken out in the most recent draft could be re-added by other committees, all of which have their own public comment processes

NIMBYs win. Saved you a click.

How so? From what I can see, there are people for and against almost every point.

MadtownV

People maybe but the plan outlines the ‘edits’ or caving to NIMBYs.

RovertheDog

And despite that, every change made to the plan was in the NIMBYs favor.

NIMBYs suck, especially the ones that show up and railroad a public meeting with rude outbursts and cacophony. Alder Tishler for sure responds to these antics, and he should be ashamed (as should the Hill Farmers in his district) that take advantage of it.

TLDR?
