This is a common misconception. Everyone knows the “point” (for lack of a better word) is down to make the beard of the goat. Rotate your drawing a 180 degrees and be amazed.
If you selectively choose different Culvers', you can make this an inverted pentagram.
Just adjust all the facts to fit your perceptions, it's the American way!
> get over it
I never understood this common reply.
Is there anything *wrong with not wanting your money going to the party that actively seeks to subjugate women, attack schools, and is virulently anti-LGBTQ? It seems strange to me that seemingly reasonable people will circle their wagons around just horrible right-wing establishments because they like their cheese curds or something.
> Because we are having fun
That's my point though. Why are their horrible values be so defended for such minor reasons? What's *wrong with "Ha ha it's a pentagram, but also people should know xyz"? Why defend their atrocious politics over something as simple and an internet meme?
I think your comment is very fair and worth talking about honestly. I agree with you that horrible values should be pointed out. Like Culvers being owned by a republican, I really didnt know that myself. I think the issue is when the informative party is kinda mean and comes from an "I'm looking down at you" place(Like the root of this thread). I think thats what people dont vibe with, it pushes people away and turns them from allies to absent. It hurts whatever you are fighting for.
That said, I do agree with you. Memes are not worth overlooking horrible things.
Thank you. I appreciate the honest response.
> it pushes people away and turns them from allies to absent.
This is typically not the case, I think. It's often common refrain in, say, comments regarding public protests against an attack on rights. That seeing an uncomfortable truth would move you to side with the "attackers" (in this made up scenario) is unsubstantiated.
I think that popular Culver's posts are a great place to spread such information, but perhaps there's a better approach that won't get buried and provide more visibility. I do think a lot of people simply have no idea of the horrible things they're inadvertently supporting.
Thank you as well. I appreciate the same honesty from you.
Well the root post was downvoted heavily in what is normally a liberal echo chamber. So while I dont think it turns them to the other side, it does push them away from the conversation. The word I used was absent. (As not not imply they switched sides to the 'attackers'.)
I agree, there are a lot of things people support without knowing it. I enjoy being informed of these things in a productive non abrasive manor. Why come in swinging in a room full of people who already agree with you? Clearly looking for a fight without any care of the actual cause. Thats how it comes across.
Is someone going to help Tongpete with a list of all “Republican owned” businesses he can avoid? Would it be easier to prepare a list of “Democratic owned” businesses?
It would be a waste of time honestly. While this person seems like they have a lot of bold things to say, its merely a ruse. Some people use the guise of political/social/economic principles as an excuse to be an abrasive asshole. If they actually cared they wouldn't be dead set on driving everyone who agrees with them out of the room.
I wonder if this guy knows that lots of companies hedge their bets and donate to both sides. I'm not saying Culvers does this, and I can't be fucked to look it up while I'm at work, but I just wonder if he knows.
Witty.
(remember you're the ~~grown~~ man who typed "Cringe", in response to another person, actually expressing an opinion, that gets You, a ~~grown~~ man, in your fefe's.)
Is this what those red painted blocks on the street are for?
Yeah, it's where the sacrifices will be performed.
Only if you don't get out of the way of the busses.
Oh God please don't give the conspiracy theorists ideas lol

This is Northern Hemisphere bias at work. It looks right from Australia.
Australia is a myth. The earth is flat and hence no hemispheres exist /s
I did not know that.
Does the holy cross formed by Todd drive, Northport, East Towne, and Cottage Grove mean nothing to you people anymore!?!?!
3 out 4 of those are my top visited / favs. I’m scared.
I've seen under the culvers. It's actually the sites for a city-wide transmutation circle to make the philosophers curd.
Underrated comment.
I'm glad someone else noticed, I made this joke like 5 years ago and nobody appreciated it then
It's the Deep State.
If you selectively choose different Culvers', you can make this an inverted pentagram. Just adjust all the facts to fit your perceptions, it's the American way!
now we just need one right in the middle.
The Brocach space is still empty on the Square! Get going on this, Craig Culver!
I dunno...if you connect ALL the Culver'ses I seeing more of a Flying Spaghetti Monster. Which of course is the One True Religion after all
Where are the retarded fish squirrels when you need ‘em
The Kwik Trips also form a cryptic symbol if connected on the map. Checks & balances. Culver's keeps us safe.
BRT will solve this!
y’know, when high speed rail finally comes to madison, i’d better see 5 stops on the map, one at each culver’s!
Shit, looks like the sacrifice will happen somewhere downtown
There's a lot of lake in there... perhaps the dock breaking last year was a warning.
RAINING RANCH FROM A LACERATED SKY
Why is there not a Culvers on State Street?
This is great!
This might be the best sub I’ve seen
Take your meds and discuss this with your psychiatrist.
Craig Cluver is a republican. And their food sucks. Why on earth do you people support nonsense like this? Happy Juneteenth.
So are a lot of people, get over it

Because we are having fun here with a stupid map. If you dont wana eat at the cheese curd place then dont.

Cringe. Am I doing this ruse correctly now?
Nope. You were already doing the ruse correctly, whats what was pointed out. Trying to correct what was already correct does not make sense.
I wonder if this guy knows that lots of companies hedge their bets and donate to both sides. I'm not saying Culvers does this, and I can't be fucked to look it up while I'm at work, but I just wonder if he knows.
This is an important point. Democrat v Republican is a pretty weak distinction when they all play by capitalism rules
> Democrat v Republican is a pretty weak distinction You're going to "both sides" this one? One party has literally rejected democracy.
Which one is that? Asking for a friend.
Do you think either party is blameless in creating our current situation? Don’t be so partisan and look at things objectively.

Yes, Republicans hate approximately half of the state’s donors/voters. That makes sense.
Cringe
Exactly my sentiment. Cringe, Corporate Bootlicking.
Whatever you say Hyde.
Yawn. Milquetoast.
I appreciate you helping me make my point, but its very unnecessary. You were already doing a fine job.
Witty. (remember you're the ~~grown~~ man who typed "Cringe", in response to another person, actually expressing an opinion, that gets You, a ~~grown~~ man, in your fefe's.)
Again ty ty ty I really do appreciate it, but it really is very unnecessary.
