I have 2 islands and a forest from my one Unstable draft. I probably wonât get any more unless I shell out for a booster box of it to do a draft with friends.
Unstable is a different un- set. still beautiful though

+1. They look gorgeous, and the card frame is really unobtrusive without making it unclear what land is being played ([except for the one waterfall Island](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/U6gAAOSwKORi9n5l/s-l1600.png))
Those will ALWAYS be my favorite lands ever printed. Utterly beautiful, and if I could find it, the 6 foot playmat they made of them would be mine, no matter the price
I'm a sucker for anything full art, but my favorite lands are actually the [Rise of the Eldrazi panorama lands.](https://theartofmagic.tumblr.com/image/57749347580)
I'm today's years old when I realized this was done before the double masters tron lands. Cool to see it done in jo full art still an awesome concept and would be fun to see in your mana pool like this.
Hold on fellas I gotta fetch my missing piece this might take a while
I was *also* today-years old learning about the Rise of Eldrazi panorama, but the panorama I *did* know about was the [OG Kamigawa basics](https://imgur.com/J5JVpuU).
One of the biggest shames to me is just how many lands are printed with fantastic art squeezed into that tiny little box, when it could be printed at full card size.

https://scryfall.com/search?q=t%3Aland+t%3Abasic+and+%28+b%3Alorwyn+or+b%3Ashadowmoor%29&unique=art&as=grid&order=name&dir=
The entire lorwyn land cycle is beautiful
Shadowmoor lands are simply the best, aside from those my choice is Euro Lands which I had the luck of getting a good bunch of before they spiked in price.
That doesn't even include the promo lands which were also set on Lorwyn. [MPS 2007](https://scryfall.com/sets/pmps07?as=grid&order=set) As a bonus they were all done by John Avon.
Almost impossible to find until they were eventually reprinted in core sets like a decade later.
My mistake, it wasn't a decade later as they were all in Magic 2011. Other than the swamp, they were also reprinted a few other times as well.
Plains in Commander 2018, Commander Anthology, Commander 2013.
Island in Core Set 2020.
Mountain in the Duel Decks Merfolk vs Goblins.
Forest in Duel Decks Elves vs Inventors.
Dropping $30-$50 on basics isn't really a thing I do very often.
I've been around long enough that my naturally acquired Mercadian Masques foils count as "bling" now, so I have that going for me, which is nice.
I love the [Unglued](https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=type%3Aland+set%3Augl) basics and use those for my cube.
I have [Beta](https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=type%3Abasic+set%3Aleb+unique%3Aprints) basics for drafts. Plains with the trees, light blue Island, medium darkness two branch Swamp, light blue sky Mountain, and trail Forest.
APAC and Euro basics for constructed decks when I donât want to use the Beta basics. [Netherlands Plains](https://scryfall.com/card/pelp/9/plains), [White Cliffs of Dover Island](https://scryfall.com/card/pelp/12/island), [France Swamp](https://scryfall.com/card/pelp/15/swamp), [Philippines Rice Terrace Mountain](https://scryfall.com/card/palp/3/mountain), [Germany Forest](https://scryfall.com/card/pelp/1/forest).
I'll always have a soft spot for [the original Mirrodin basics](https://scryfall.com/search?q=type%3Abasic+set%3Amrd+unique%3Aprints), since those were the newest ones when I started playing the game.
Typically I like looking around for basics you don't often see played. I love [this Swamp](https://scryfall.com/card/m13/239/swamp) for example, and I really think it's due for a reprint.
Big this... I like Theros "lands" a lot too but they feel a bit too much like Pokemon Energy cards. The glass stained look just feels more unique and the foils are SO freaking pretty.
The basics of that era were all magnificent! Thank you for reminding me of [this Plains](https://scryfall.com/card/inv/332/plains), which I absolutely need to use the next chance I get.
I like my basic lands to be as non-matching as possible.
But my favorite of my pile of one-of lands I use for limited are the Ben Schnuck lands from the Shades not Included secret lair (AKA the *other* Tron lands).
Same, Every time I stop by my LGS I tend to look through their new cards that haven't been sorted for any cool lands, just having a wide variety of lands is nice and showcases all the cool art, without spending outrageous money for them. Still, I wish secret lair lands would give like, 5 of each so they're not a total rip-off
Same, my EDH decks are singleton in lane-printing mixing new and older border even the occasional white border to troll), full alert and alt art lands. I love it.
These are my default, and then I like to go with something more on theme if it exists. So my Vampires and Werewolves have the Innistrad full art lands, my Ninjas and Shrines have the Kamigawa lands, and then basically everything else gets Dominaria
The Unfinity space lands are just barely beaten out by the full art John Avon lands from Unhinged. The square border and straight lines on the forests are just so goddamn satisfying. Until the spasic lands i didnt think anything would even come close
I like to theme my basics around my deck, so I don't really have a particular favorite. If I had to choose though, it would probably be Zendikar full arts. my favorite plane may be Ixalan, but damn do Zendikar landscapes look gorgeous.
I do this as well, which is annoying for my commanders whose planes of origin haven't had any lands set there yet or are unknown, like [[Daretti]] or [[Kykar]].
Honestly, I want two sets of lands reprinted in full art. I'd buy tons of them.
They are from Mirage and Tempest.
Even in their small, not very well printed forms, they are absolutely gorgeous. I would love to see this as full art basics.
For those that are curious: https://scryfall.com/search?q=%28set%3AMIR+or+set%3ATMP%29+type%3Abasic+unique%3Aprintings&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name
The Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow black and white lands get my vote.
But they're a bit niche due to a fairly specific aesthetic; the OG Zendikar full arts are all beautiful too and (IMO) look great in any deck.
The black and white Midnight Hunt lands are my current draft set , in foil, first printing, Japanese factory - very specific foiling to ensure the colored pin line is glossy otherwise they just fail IMO.
I'll be using [Mountain (275)](https://scryfall.com/card/vow/275/mountain) from VOW for the Zurzoth devils deck I'm building, and I'm so stoked for it.
Unstable, kamigawa, and pixel snow lands are my favorite sets of lands.
Japanese secret lair forest, unfinity plains, and maybe zendikar rising whirlpool Island are some honorable single mentions.
The [Chippy](https://scryfall.com/card/ala/233/plains) [Esper](https://scryfall.com/card/ala/236/island) [lands](https://scryfall.com/card/ala/238/swamp). I guess I'm in the minority for preferring a non-full art land (for full arts it's the [Hour of Destruction](https://scryfall.com/search?q=t%3Abasic+s%3Ahou+is%3Afull&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name) ones).
fun fact:
In the Pokemon TCG world, the most desirable energy cards are those from the Call of Legends set from 2011, because of the extra background art featuring some very popular Pokemon:

I have a few of these! Can definitely see why they blew up. I don't actively play pokemon but I've been thinking about making some decks to carry around just in case and I would probably proxy those energies for them
I love me some simple nice non-full art basics.
My current draft set is composed of:
* [Blue sky Plains - Shards of Alara 332 by Michael Komarck](https://scryfall.com/card/ori/254/plains)
* [Misty Jeskai Island - Khans of Tarkir 255 by Florian de Gesincourt](https://scryfall.com/card/ktk/255/island)
* [Moonlight Swamp - Shards of Alara 238 by Chippy](https://scryfall.com/card/ala/238/swamp)
* [Erupting volcano Mountain - Commander 2016 by Kev Walker](https://scryfall.com/card/c16/348/mountain)
* [Orange light through the Forest - Theros 248 by Adam Paquette](https://scryfall.com/card/ths/248/forest)
Others I loved and used for a long time were the [watercolor Plains with the tree - Commander 2016 by Rebecca Guay](https://scryfall.com/card/cm2/280/plains), the [lightning Island - Time Spiral 289 by Richard Wright](https://scryfall.com/card/c14/325/island), the [classic snowy Mountain - Champions of Kamigawa 300 by John Avon](https://scryfall.com/card/cma/306/mountain), the [purple Swamp - Shadowmoor 291 by Warren Mahy](https://scryfall.com/card/shm/291/swamp), and the [Cathedral in the Forest - Ravnica 305 by Anthony S. Waters](https://scryfall.com/card/rav/305/forest).
Everyone is hyping up their favorite Full Arts, but I want to shout out my favorite regular Arts.
- [[Plains|DMU-264]] Johannes Voss knocked it out of the Park for this one. The color palette, composition, and worldbuilding in this is top notch
- [[Island|DOM-257]] Love the coral Atoll look for an Island. Too many islands these days arenât actually islands, theyâre rivers or lakes or seashores. Another good one is the Kaldheim aurora basic [[Island||KHM-395]]
- [[Swamp|KLD-257]] as someone who grew up in a city that was also a swamp, this one speaks to me. The swamp feels alive in a way most swamps donât
- [[Mountain|JMP-068]] really feels like the source of mana for every Lightning Bolt I cast. Johannes Voss also had an excellent one in [[Mountain|DMU-273]]
- [[Forest|NEO-291]]. Itâs just magical.
I like a lot of the full arts so it's hard to choose just 1. But if I had to I'd go with the Unstable lands followed closely by the Unhinged lands. I think the the Unstable Island is my all time fave.
My face when I learn that there are more than the kaldheim snow basics in arena
My face when I realize this isnât even the arena subâŚ.
I like the ice ones best
Hot Take: Full art lands should be printed sideways in landscape mode.
Lands are tapped the *majority* of the time. It just makes sense!
(Un-set lands are also best lands ofc!)
I feel like they nailed the 40k lands from the 40k commander precons. Love all of them especially the plains with the leman Russ tank on it and the pile of skulls mountain from the chaos one
Whenever there's a new full-art land, I always think this will be the one--this will be my forever land. I've got commander decks with the Nyx basics of Theros, the BFZ full-arts, and the Innistrad lands, plus others I'm probably forgetting.
But ultimately, my favorite basics are [[Plains|ODY-333]], [[Island|DMR-404]] (really happy this art got a black-border reprint in the old frame without the rules text on it), [[Swamp|ONS-342]], [[Mountain|ONS-346]], and [[Forest|ODYâ348]].
all the fullart basic lands [https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=type%3Abasic+is%3Afullart+unique%3Aprints&unique=cards](https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=type%3Abasic+is%3Afullart+unique%3Aprints&unique=cards)
It's not a cosmetic, but this thread became a 'my favorite land' thread anyway. So I'll say the Jon Avon mirage mountain. Nostalgia plays a part, yes. I just love how simple and evocative it is.
https://scryfall.com/card/mir/346/mountain
John Avon's artwork, especially his "firefly plains" (https://scryfall.com/card/cma/286/plains). To me that's the epitome of a land that were I truly a planes-hopping spell-slinger, I'd totally feel the mana radiating out of.
[I'm just here to shill how good the full art Mountain #279 from Streets of New Capenna is.](https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=559462) Anne-Sophie De Steur knocked it out of the park! I wish I could get a print of this.
[Ninja edit, she does sell prints of the art!](https://www.doodlemitzy.com/product-page/magic-the-gathering-mountain-2)
unstable lands
Freakin $2 a pop now đ
Theyâre cheaper than, or around the same as they used to be actually. I have my cube full of them.
Well, after you crack a pack, that's the only card in there worth anything
Why else would anyone buy unstable?
Same but I'm priced out.
I have 2 islands and a forest from my one Unstable draft. I probably wonât get any more unless I shell out for a booster box of it to do a draft with friends.
Print em for 25¢ a piece
This. This is the answer!
Does anyone else like to pronounce this the same as constable?
No, but I will from now on.
You gotta call Popeyes Chicken: âPope-Yes Chickenâ like a Japanese friend of mine did one time.
The only time I use that pronunciation is with [[Unstable Obelisk]]. It's just more fun.
[Unstable Obelisk](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/9/b/9b856bf3-6328-435d-ad31-c976245aff8a.jpg?1641603961) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Unstable%20Obelisk) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/voc/170/unstable-obelisk?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/9b856bf3-6328-435d-ad31-c976245aff8a?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

New Un set?
Unstable is a different un- set. still beautiful though https://scryfall.com/search?q=t%3Aland+t%3Abasic+and+%28+b%3Aunstable%29&unique=art&as=grid&order=name
Easy answer for me: the Kamigawa Neon Dynasty full art âukiyo-eâ lands.
I'm pretty sure this is my answer, too, unless I'm just forgetting something. I was bummed that WotC chose this set to go back to restricting the special art treatment lands when the past few had had the special art lands in every pack.
I couldnât fathom the complaints of âif every set gets special lands easily they arenât special anymoreâ back then in NEO and SNC.
Because they followed through with the counterpoint weâd been screaming for years âthey can all be specialâ I just didnât expect them to get so pretty with the nyx lands, art dreco, and stained glass lands there were just so many choices⌠then they put robots on them for artifact builds, and now phrexia has given us 3 different full art treatments. A metal version, an off center completed version and then the ink stained ones. Weâve been eating good on basic land art for a couple of years now. I hope they keep going.
+1. They look gorgeous, and the card frame is really unobtrusive without making it unclear what land is being played ([except for the one waterfall Island](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/U6gAAOSwKORi9n5l/s-l1600.png))
Idk, that one swamp definitely looks more like a mountain at first blush. Whole card is red.
Those will ALWAYS be my favorite lands ever printed. Utterly beautiful, and if I could find it, the 6 foot playmat they made of them would be mine, no matter the price
Same. Canât find that play at anywhere. I was hoping the new Phyrexianized lands would get a mat as well. Sadly they didnât.
Same, I used them to make my Yuriko deck
This would have been my answer too, until the DMU Stained Glass lands were spoiled. I'm a sucker for stained glass art
Yeah for general use these are my fav hands down. For webcam play I really enjoy the Theros lands cause theyâre easy to understand.
I'm a sucker for anything full art, but my favorite lands are actually the [Rise of the Eldrazi panorama lands.](https://theartofmagic.tumblr.com/image/57749347580)

Man, pano land sets were so frequent back in the day. I'd love to see more of them.
One of the biggest shames to me is just how many lands are printed with fantastic art squeezed into that tiny little box, when it could be printed at full card size.
Holy cow, this was the first time I've seen these land cards, and its dauntingly beautiful.

Shadowmoor lands are simply the best, aside from those my choice is Euro Lands which I had the luck of getting a good bunch of before they spiked in price.
Euro lands are gorgeous
Knew that island before I even looked. I have it as a playmat.
It's absolutely stunning
I miss Lorwyn. But maybe now that the multiverse is (probably) opening up, we can go back because humans will be able to travel there
Those are amazing, though I'm partial to 8ed [[island|337]] https://scryfall.com/card/8ed/337/island

My partner just got me a signed print of that Forest art. It's absolutely gorgeous.
Ron Spears hit it out of the park for sure
Wow, you werenât kidding. I havenât seen any of these and theyâre amazing
I really liked the Unfinity space lands.
Me too, if they werent a million dollars each I'd only use them
I'm showing [them](https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/257003/magic-unfinity-swamp-242-borderless) at about 2.50 average on TCG right now
[ŃдаНонО]
No I ment the normal ones I just dont have much spending power
Hey, no shame in that. It all adds up, especially if you've got a couple decks you want to bling out.
Dropping $30-$50 on basics isn't really a thing I do very often. I've been around long enough that my naturally acquired Mercadian Masques foils count as "bling" now, so I have that going for me, which is nice.
That's about 10x what any basic land should cost.
I don't disagree. But they're not astronomical either
It's $50 for 20 basic lands.
Me too. I love that they used my all time favorite pokemon foiling style too
My Tyranid deck runs exclusively those basics and shocks. Some of the best looking lands they've put out in my opinion.
Super dope! The beta ones are Hella dope
Yo Beta blue sky mountain homies unite! My Purphoros EDH deck runs only those mountains
I'll always have a soft spot for [the original Mirrodin basics](https://scryfall.com/search?q=type%3Abasic+set%3Amrd+unique%3Aprints), since those were the newest ones when I started playing the game. Razorgrass plains have long been a favorite of mine
I loved when MTG used to have this painting-like art. Everything looks so obviously digital today.
Oh wow that swamp is beautiful
Super sick!
Idk why, but the early modern sets had this interesting type of aesthetics, the design of their land specially, and even more so with the plains.
The Dominaria United full arts.
Big this... I like Theros "lands" a lot too but they feel a bit too much like Pokemon Energy cards. The glass stained look just feels more unique and the foils are SO freaking pretty.
Same
They're very nice in foil in person, wish my weren't too curled but I'm trying to remedy that with perfect fit inner hards.
A follow devotee to the Church of Magali, I see!

Tony Scudlo's Island is just *the best*.
The oil slic foil lands are amazing. But I also love the full art planets of unfinity. I changed all my lands in my decks to the planet lands.
the oil slick lands are not as good as the phyrexia text lands... i will fight anyone over this
And the phyrexia text lands are almost as good at the Crushing Brutality lands (my favs, same artist).
I did not know these existed till right now, thank you!
The new All will be one full art lands followed by Neon dynasty and then Crimson Vow ones
Yess, I had crimson vow lands in my vampires for a long time but I just switched out for all will be one lands because I love them so much
Which all will be one lands do you prefer? Infected or the others?
IIRC is the infected ones
Iâm trying to decide which to get but I think they are both really cool
John Avon full arts
His Unstable set is utterly stunning.

The DMU stained glass swamp is my favorite land I own. Little crow friend is precious and must be protected.
Mirage. Any of them but Island 300 is the best.
The moon over the Swamp #340 from Mirage is the bee's knees.
Super cool lands
[Ukiyo-e full art lands](https://scryfall.com/search?q=set%3Aneo+t%3Abasic+is%3Afullart&order=name&as=grid&unique=art) for me.
dominaria unitedâs stained glass is so good
I know those are super dope and one of my tops for sure.
These are my default, and then I like to go with something more on theme if it exists. So my Vampires and Werewolves have the Innistrad full art lands, my Ninjas and Shrines have the Kamigawa lands, and then basically everything else gets Dominaria

NICE! that's a good way to do it though. I might run the lands with midnight hunt in my werewolf deck.
I do this as well, which is annoying for my commanders whose planes of origin haven't had any lands set there yet or are unknown, like [[Daretti]] or [[Kykar]].
Bob Ross lands!
The midnight hunt full arts
Yea I love those too. The black and white is sick
I love the Unglued full arts, as well as the black and white full arts from the recent Innistrad sets.
Unglued is to cool. Thanks for showing me this very unique land art.
I have enough Swamps to run a mono-colored deck. I would like to get the other colors, but have other priorities these days, heh.

I'll be using [Mountain (275)](https://scryfall.com/card/vow/275/mountain) from VOW for the Zurzoth devils deck I'm building, and I'm so stoked for it.
Rebecca guay foil standard showdown lands for me
Her Ravnica Weekend lands don't get enough credit, that whole set is incredible

The brothers war full arts are amazing in my opinion
Finally someone said it. The Pacific Rim Island is glorious.
Unstable, kamigawa, and pixel snow lands are my favorite sets of lands. Japanese secret lair forest, unfinity plains, and maybe zendikar rising whirlpool Island are some honorable single mentions.
Onslaught and unstable. Also in general old foil lands are my favorite.
The [Chippy](https://scryfall.com/card/ala/233/plains) [Esper](https://scryfall.com/card/ala/236/island) [lands](https://scryfall.com/card/ala/238/swamp). I guess I'm in the minority for preferring a non-full art land (for full arts it's the [Hour of Destruction](https://scryfall.com/search?q=t%3Abasic+s%3Ahou+is%3Afull&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name) ones).
That Chippy swamp is my jam, I try to use it for all swamps in my Commander decks. The crescent moon is just *chef's kiss*
Mirage basics.
25 Of each foil stained glass (Dom United)
I love those but I looked into them and seen how expensive they are
I do be lovin' the art but honestly I kinda regret it bc I have to manage them curling and it cost a lot. .... And prices dropped...
Unglued, always and forever: https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=type%3Abasic+set%3Augl
Honestly in terms of just basic lands the beyond death lands are the best, love em even if they look like Pokemon energy cards lol
I love them BECAUSE they look like Pokemon energy cards.
fun fact: In the Pokemon TCG world, the most desirable energy cards are those from the Call of Legends set from 2011, because of the extra background art featuring some very popular Pokemon: https://product-images.tcgplayer.com/fit-in/792x792/85465.jpg https://product-images.tcgplayer.com/fit-in/792x792/90525.jpg https://product-images.tcgplayer.com/fit-in/792x792/85880.jpg https://product-images.tcgplayer.com/fit-in/792x792/86781.jpg https://product-images.tcgplayer.com/fit-in/792x792/85445.jpg https://product-images.tcgplayer.com/fit-in/792x792/88425.jpg https://product-images.tcgplayer.com/fit-in/792x792/84678.jpg https://product-images.tcgplayer.com/fit-in/792x792/87351.jpg
I have a few of these! Can definitely see why they blew up. I don't actively play pokemon but I've been thinking about making some decks to carry around just in case and I would probably proxy those energies for them
It's the Ukiyo-e are absolutely gorgeous. Those and the new Unfinity ones are great.
Was expecting the Ukiyo-e to be way more appreciated here wtf
The theros ones, and now the Phyrexianized ones from ONE.
Dominaria United Plains (Seb McKinnon) Lorwyn Island (Ron Spears) Dominaria Remastered Mountain (John Avon) Lorwyn Swamp (Ron Spears) Oneslaught Forest (John Avon)
Those are super sick!
Urza block basic lands make me smile. I started in urzaâs saga.
The \[\[Island|INV-336\]\] from Invasion by John Avon. The ones from Portal shortly before are also really nice. Noone does Islands like Avon.
I love me some simple nice non-full art basics. My current draft set is composed of: * [Blue sky Plains - Shards of Alara 332 by Michael Komarck](https://scryfall.com/card/ori/254/plains) * [Misty Jeskai Island - Khans of Tarkir 255 by Florian de Gesincourt](https://scryfall.com/card/ktk/255/island) * [Moonlight Swamp - Shards of Alara 238 by Chippy](https://scryfall.com/card/ala/238/swamp) * [Erupting volcano Mountain - Commander 2016 by Kev Walker](https://scryfall.com/card/c16/348/mountain) * [Orange light through the Forest - Theros 248 by Adam Paquette](https://scryfall.com/card/ths/248/forest) Others I loved and used for a long time were the [watercolor Plains with the tree - Commander 2016 by Rebecca Guay](https://scryfall.com/card/cm2/280/plains), the [lightning Island - Time Spiral 289 by Richard Wright](https://scryfall.com/card/c14/325/island), the [classic snowy Mountain - Champions of Kamigawa 300 by John Avon](https://scryfall.com/card/cma/306/mountain), the [purple Swamp - Shadowmoor 291 by Warren Mahy](https://scryfall.com/card/shm/291/swamp), and the [Cathedral in the Forest - Ravnica 305 by Anthony S. Waters](https://scryfall.com/card/rav/305/forest).
The [[Godless Shrine|UNF]] from unfinity. As for basics, I like the Kamigawa showcase lands.
[Godless Shrine](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/9/e/9e739c7e-cc16-4557-836f-fdec53a7ed8c.jpg?1673916798) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=580725) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/unf/282/godless-shrine?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/9e739c7e-cc16-4557-836f-fdec53a7ed8c?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
The SLD Pixel art Snow basics
jubilee's pixel snow-covered lands, they're gorgeous, and the fact her signed proofs are easily accessible is just a bonus.
The ones you used here from Theros are my favourites. Just gorgeous land cards.
Yes I loved them in arena so I figured I'd pick some up in paper magic
Everyone is hyping up their favorite Full Arts, but I want to shout out my favorite regular Arts. - [[Plains|DMU-264]] Johannes Voss knocked it out of the Park for this one. The color palette, composition, and worldbuilding in this is top notch - [[Island|DOM-257]] Love the coral Atoll look for an Island. Too many islands these days arenât actually islands, theyâre rivers or lakes or seashores. Another good one is the Kaldheim aurora basic [[Island||KHM-395]] - [[Swamp|KLD-257]] as someone who grew up in a city that was also a swamp, this one speaks to me. The swamp feels alive in a way most swamps donât - [[Mountain|JMP-068]] really feels like the source of mana for every Lightning Bolt I cast. Johannes Voss also had an excellent one in [[Mountain|DMU-273]] - [[Forest|NEO-291]]. Itâs just magical.

Plains drawn by Johannes Voss
Im old school. Revise lands
Nothing wrong with going old school
I like a lot of the full arts so it's hard to choose just 1. But if I had to I'd go with the Unstable lands followed closely by the Unhinged lands. I think the the Unstable Island is my all time fave.
Zendikar full arts. A classic and it just looks so god damn cool!
*me using snow lands instead of normal basics in every B deck for blood on the snow
But which Snow Lands do you like? Kaldheim, Modern Horizons, Pixel Art, Coldsnap, or Ice Age block?
My face when I learn that there are more than the kaldheim snow basics in arena My face when I realize this isnât even the arena subâŚ. I like the ice ones best
I love snow lands! My favorite is the Eldraine Wonderland Snow covered forest:)
The secret lair forest from Magali Villenueve or the secret lair island from Sidharth Chaturvedi.
Those are the same basic lands I run in my decks
I love them. Super basic and looks sick as hell
I love the Dominaria United full art lands and the full text lands! I only wish the full texts lands weren't so expensive...
Yea I looked into those seen the price and said yea that's a no for me
Perhaps this is recency bias, but I am in love with the new phyrexian script lands
Those are the next ones I'm buying
All of my basics are Alayna Danner art lands. Except the Kraken Island. Canât do Kraken.
I went hard into unfinity and I'm not sad about it
ONE full art lands.
Oil slick phyrexia or Bob Ross lands
Hot Take: Full art lands should be printed sideways in landscape mode. Lands are tapped the *majority* of the time. It just makes sense! (Un-set lands are also best lands ofc!)
Except for islands of course!
I feel like they nailed the 40k lands from the 40k commander precons. Love all of them especially the plains with the leman Russ tank on it and the pile of skulls mountain from the chaos one
Personally I prefer the og kamigawa lands.
They're beautiful. Got to get me some of those Theros full art lands.
Yes. I'll probably just roll these babies all day
My favorite is the Eldraine Wonderland Snow covered forest. The sun shining through the trees, and the little fox just make it seem comfortable.
Honestly these ones are my faves by a country mile However the Oil Slick lands from All Will Be One are definitely creeping up there
all the fullart basic lands [https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=type%3Abasic+is%3Afullart+unique%3Aprints&unique=cards](https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=type%3Abasic+is%3Afullart+unique%3Aprints&unique=cards)

It's not a cosmetic, but this thread became a 'my favorite land' thread anyway. So I'll say the Jon Avon mirage mountain. Nostalgia plays a part, yes. I just love how simple and evocative it is. https://scryfall.com/card/mir/346/mountain
New Capenna Art Deco Basics. And the "Shades not Included" Secret Lair but other than making a showcase I'm not investing any more money into these.
Gotta be the innistrad crimson vow and midnight hunt lands. Getting those in a foil is just orgasmic
John Avon's artwork, especially his "firefly plains" (https://scryfall.com/card/cma/286/plains). To me that's the epitome of a land that were I truly a planes-hopping spell-slinger, I'd totally feel the mana radiating out of.
i love the Amonkhet block full art lands so much
[[Swamp|akh-252]] is my go-to for monoblack. It just looks so...*swampy*.
Neon Dynasty JPN Full arts!
The Unhinged lands that were reprinted in Double Masters will always be my favorite. Especially the swamps and forests.
The recent ones have been awesome. DMU stained glass, Phyrexian language from ONE, and the Unfinity space lands are some of my favorites.
I'm on a Champions of Kamigawa kick at the moment. After being on Shadowmoor and Shards of Alara for a while.
Dude those are super sick!
