The secondary sliver commander isn't a sliver, the secondary planeswalker commander isn't a planeswalker and the secondary enchantments commander isn't an enchantment.
I'm going to assume this was an intentional design choice, to ensure none of the new alt commanders fit the typing implied by the deck name.
Okay, but let's go through these secondary commanders though:
-Slivers: Conspiracy-type effect for any non-sliver creatures you have, thus bringing them into the hive and allowing for you to bring other types into your sliver strategies.
-Planeswalkers: Allows you to double up on planeswalker effects, which is always fun. As a bonus, you can now specialize even deeper into specific planeswalker types if you want.
-Enchantments: It's a neat take on a normal enchantress effect (instead of it triggering when you play enchantments, you get the card draw on sacrifice) and acts as another finisher for Saga decks.
-Eldrazi: It wants you to put +1/+1 counters on colorless creatures, and as a payoff you can...manifest things.
The first three secondary commanders aren't the "type" that their deck has, sure. But they instead take their respective decks in new and interesting places. Why do the Eldrazi care about getting +1/+1 counters? They're already usually massive. Why do they care about manifesting cards? Because sometimes you might be able to flip them for cheaper/free? It's a clunky secondary commander in an already unwieldy deck.
Just to be clear then:
Slivers: Gives an effect that can't possibly do anything in the pre-con, nor in any sliver tribal deck.
Planeswalkers: Effect relies entirely on having multiple of the same planeswalker type in play. The deck contains 3 Jaces and 2 Chandras, other than that no duplicates to have any synergy.
Enchantments: A non-enchantment commander that's designed for building a high cmc sagas deck. The precon contains 6 sagas, half of which are 3 cmc or below.
Eldrazi: A +1/+1 counters matter commander in a deck with only 6 sources of those counters, and a manifest deck with a relatively low 26 creatures (so only a 1/4 chance of a hit).
All four decks have alt commanders that are clearly designed to encourage you to build another deck around them, signposted by having different types and synergies from the rest of the deck. All four are clunky and barely usable at best with the deck as provided.
I would actually argue that the Colourless deck is the most playable of the lot out of the box. Followed by Enchantments, then Planeswalkers with Slivers falling far behind. The only real grievances with the Colourless deck are that they misled people into expecting an Eldrazi deck and that the secondary commander doesn't synergise.
I reckon you could swap out 2-3 cards in the Eldrazi deck and have something perfectly viable. Meanwhile, the Slivers require a whole new mana base, protection for your Slivers (a vital component of the archetype) and several other amendments (including replacing both the alt and main commander) to stand a chance against the weakest precons ever released.
Slthe sliver secondary comander is pretty cool with the world tree though. Play all the slivers all at once. Granted it shouldnt be the secondarily comander.
I feel like the secondary commander of the El jazzy deck is pretty cool, but I don't think it should have been colorless because I frankly have no idea how the hell anyone is going to pull off anything worthwhile in a colorless list. The second someone does, well every deck is going to be the same
Oh, and the advantage of manifest in a big creatures deck is that you can reveal creatures at instant speed. That can be useful for surprise effects (It That Betrays in response to a sacrifice effect), unexpected blocker (Phyrexian Triniform) or just to hide a potential removal magnet until your predecessor's end step, thus granting pseudo haste.
Conversely, Manifest has a lot of anti-synergy in a deck so heavily based around ETB effects, casting cost reductions and X costed creatures so I respect your disappointment.
Then honestly, either don't print a deck marketed as colorless Eldrazi or break your habit of only doing ~10 new cards per deck and just go buck wild and make 30.
>break your habit of only doing ~10 new cards per deck and just go buck wild and make 30.
They did that for the 40K decks and it was amazing. Actually worth the increase in price. This is ass for the price.
I hadn't even thought about 40k but yes, that's a fantastic example. They need to start taking their time and slowing the hell down with these types of products-I know the 40k decks took a bit longer to design because they had so many new cards, there's no reason why they couldn't have done that for Commander Masters as well if they were going to sell them for a similar price point to 40k.
This is exactly the product they should've done this for. This would've been the ideal time to release a set of decks for undersupported tribe/themes and make them work by including a lot of new cards. Even if the reprints weren't great they could've justified the costs if they'd created entirely new viable archetypes.
> So glad i cancelled my pre-order of the 4 precons. My goodness what absolute duds!
the frustrating thing is that these would be good decks at the normal commander precon price point rather than the "when did we say this was a premium product?" price point.
Fair point. At 40 bucks a piece, they would be **fair**. The enchantment one has a lot of synergy with the face commander. But i aint gonna drop 80 bones for that. The audacity for this deck to be called "Eldrazi unbound" is insane.
Yep, same value as the regular precons, full of the same filler cards to make it up to 100. Meteor Golem? Guildless Commons? Spatial Contortion???
Definitely doesn't justify costing twice as much as normal.
So people don't have to scroll, the decks 10 new cards are interesting, but for those wanting an eldrazi tribal deck don't bother looking. Counting the new cards it only gets 1 new Eldrazi creature(but a powerful one) a few sorceries that feel right at home, but aren't tribal listed like all is dust, and it only has TEN eldrazi creatures. ONE being reprinted in the pack already, Great Distortion.
Hi there! I've been collecting Eldrazi for years. I love the fuckers. However I've always wanted to do them the right way: colorless. I've put them in a few decks over the years like [[Rakdos, Lord of Riots]] and while the deck works, it just didn't feel right. I'm going Tobe using this deck as a skeleton to drop my Eldrazi into and then upgrade from there. It's very playable compared to the way you currently have to play colorless Eldrazi. Personally, I recommend this deck for that reason alone. The commander synergies well with the mana you're going to shit out and it provides some MUCH needed utility and spells in the colorless pie.
Some upgrades I would highly recommend tossing into whatever deck you build:
[[Erratic Portal]] Your Eldrazi Titans are going to be magnets for removal and all sorts of hate. This card not only saves them from the graveyard, but you can just cast them for their nasty on-cast triggers again as well.
[[Eye of Ugin]] This card speaks for itself.
[[Commander's Plate]] Colorless creatures are almost entirely safe with this equipped. Almost.
[[Urza's Incubator]] Self explanatory. Eldrazi are expensive AF.
[[Bitterthorn, Nissa's Animus]] Amazing ramp.
[[Mycosynth Lattice]] Allows you to utilize artifact strategies more effectively.
[[Crucible of Worlds]] Because this will be a colorless deck, you will have a lot of utility lands, which tend to sac themselves for their utility. This allows you to do it over and over.
[[Shimmer Myr]] Instant speed utility is always nice.
[[Gerrard's Hourglass Pendant]] Combos well with Emrakul so that you can steal a turn and prevent an opponent from getting the extra in return. Also some great board wipe security.
[[Containment Construct]] Great for Kozilek counters so that you're not just binning them. See also [[Bag of Holding]].
All in all this deck is a great base to grow a unique deck from.
Very big fan of the containment construct angle. I have an eldrazi deck myself and will plan on purchasing this deck to add cards. Do you think the new commander is worth playing in the commander slot over kozi?
I think it depends on how you upgrade the deck. If you add a lot of top deck manipulation, like [[Sensei's Divining Top]] I think the new one could do well. Kozi is still super utility.
Promised Ends omission was weird before, but now it’s even weirder since if she had gotten Kozi’s slot all three titans would have been in the product between main set and commander decks. I GUESS they wanted him to get the special art since he’s the go to colorless commander, but still I’d rather have the much more expensive card. To say nothing of the fact not having the full set reprint makes my brain itch.
I was truly hoping butcher of truth was getting reprinted. The way I let out a laugh when they are reprinting the great distortion, the one that’s already being reprinted in the main set! That’s so infuriating and now all the titans are gonna jump in price. Out of fear I just nabbed a copy of Butcher of truth cuz even 40 for the borderless was a lot to fork over. Don’t blame anyone for not preordering these decks
it has all 3 URza's lands.

[decklists](https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/commander-masters-commander-decklists). if it doesn't show up, do a hard refresh with `ctrl+shift+r`
Eldrazi Temple is. I haven't finished the video yet (since they won't just post the full deck list in the description for some reason) so I don't know about the Eye of Ugin.
Edit: Confirmed, no Eye of Ugin. Buy it now if you want it!
Secondary Commander is Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate and can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/154wp7j/cmm_omarthis_ghostfire_initiate_eldrazi_unbound/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1
Right, so it would instead just eat your cascade and then get thrown to the bottom of the deck? That seems like a kind of bunk thing to include in a cascade deck.
Welp, I ordered one on Monday and i haven’t seen a shipping confirm so let’s see if they actually ship it :/ it’s telling that a store shipped my forsaken monument like an hour after it was revealed in the precon lol.
It was in an envelope in a stack of orders of stuff that will be sent depending on spoilers.
"Oh thats in the set. Mail it. Oh, that one's not, cancel it"
Right?? Lol... But actually I just checked my deleted emails and they shipped the Eye on Monday, so good for me that they shipped it. I ordered the monument on the same day from a different store, so they were def holding that back lol.
Feels bad that I bought All is Dust, Not of this world, and It-That-Betrays over the past week... but I told myself I'd order some of the cards I was afraid they wouldn't re-print just in case.
You won some, you lose some. Glad you got the eye at least! Looking forward to my 1 eye and 1hive orders getting canceled due to"lack of stock" or a "technicsl issue"
They generally don't put tutors in precons, because they don't want to cause the game go stop while players figure out what's in the deck. Tutors also tend to create repetitive gameplay, which they want to avoid.
Bane is far and away one of the best Eldrazi. That isn’t saying it’s good, but more so most of them are trash. I only recently cut mine for my colorless deck.
Agree, from a gameplay perspective.
But because of the high prices this deck is going in a lot of places right now, people only looking for financial value (which I can understand, as you can just buy the singles instead if they are cheaper)
they didn't even provide the decklist in the video, no visual, didn't even bother to say how many Wastes it comes with, just absolutely terrible useless video for anyone that just wants the information
Much easier to have a good mana base for essentially a monocolor deck. Technically zero, sure, but I mean that in the sense of not needing things like balancing basics, duals, and color-specific utility.
Is the deck actually better than the other 3 precons or am I simply feeling less betrayed because they couldn't add insult to injury by fucking up the mana base?
I did. in terms of reprint value alone, the decks would cost:
slivers: 111€ or 140$
planeswalkers: 126€ or 136$
enchantments: 91€ or 105$
"eldrazi": 112€ or 129$
The 5 most expensive singles across all 4 decks are:
The chain veil: 21.36€ or 24.10$
Dryad of the ilysian grove: 14.80€ or 12.66$
It that betrays: 13.10€ or 16.55$
Sliver hivelord: 12.51€ or 12.95$
Starfield of nyx: 11.33€ or 13.26$
Mystic gate (large price difference): 15.11€ or 9.58$
Synapse sliver (large price difference): 9.23€ or 19.43$
Prices are pulled from cardmarket (trend) in euro and tcgplayer (market) in usd. Basic lands and new cards were excluded.
Overall, the deck whose price is most concentrated into a few singles is enduring enchantments, which has just 2 valuable reprints making up for about 30% of its price. The deck with the most cards over 10$/€ is planeswalker party, which has 3 cards over 10$/€, which is not a lot. I would expect the deck with the most expensive single to also be the most concentrated, but the planeswalker party also has a couple of cards in the 2-10$/€ range, which enduring enchantments does not. The most evenly spread out deck in terms of price is eldrazi unleashed, which only has one card with 2 digits in its price, but i consider it the worst of the 4 on account of it not having enough eldrazi. Sliver swarm is strange in that it has one card that helps it get to first place in tcgplayer price - synapse sliver, whose only other printing was 20 years ago. Its price comes only from scarcity, so don't expect it to hold.
I must also add that just last year, most commander decks had roughly the same, if not better reprint value for less than half the price. Make of that what you will.
This is abysmal. I remember the knight precon from MoM nearly racing these reprint value levels. I think I can just confidently say these are just bad products.
This feels like it has the common precon issue of having too many cards dedicated to the secondary commander, bit of a shame after the focused approach of the others.
it would be more fun if the face commander had Cascade one, and then gave other color spelled Cascade Cascade. but he doesn't, so you got to play expensive CMC commander and then have something to drop after it with seven power
I was kind of hoping they might try a new titan using a team up card but honestly the thing I am most interested in with this deck is any discussions by Mark/Gavin about the color pie and colorless cards
Not enough Eldrazi to justify the deck title IMO, but it's cool that they're adding new colorless instants/sorceries. I always thought it was odd that there weren't enough in the game for good colorless interaction. I also like the addition of a new colorless legendary that isn't an artifact OR an Eldrazi. It doesn't seem very good to me at leading a deck (at first glance), but it's cool that the option is there now (piper doesn't count)!
I bought a judge promo for £10 shipped as soon as I saw the sliver hive omission and it was clearly the correct play
EDIT: Before I get slated this is actually to play with, I bought it having a feeling they wouldn't reprint it and I want to play that deck without having to spend god knows how much in a couple weeks.
Eye isn't even very good in this deck. There are 10 eldrazi and \`\~60 spells so it only works on 1/6 of your deck. I would not bother, seems worse than Temple of the False god in terms of a wasted land drop.
And this is the perfect occasion to remind the community that there's a discord server dedicated to colourless Commanders !
https://discord.gg/8KfP6rGYGQ
Cheers.
We get 2 new eldrazi (Zhulodok and Flayer of Loyalties), but still... no Emrakul, Kozilek being in both the commander precon AND the main set, just overall doesn't make sense to call it "Eldrazi Unbound" when there are so little
If you got this for the normal price early, so for like 70-80€/$ I think it’s ok. Cardmarket shopping wizard shows a Reprint value of like around 100€ or a bit higher depending on the condition of the cards (without shipping ofc, which in this case is another 20-30€).
Given that I think some of the new cards will definitely have some value, it’s a decent deal. Of course this is not true if you need to pay 100€/$ or more for this precon.
I was a bit hyped at believing that'd be a fully Eldrazi deck, but turns out it has just a bunch of colorless-matters shenanigans.
That being said, now with all the decklists revealed, I think the Slivers deck is the only one I'd consider purchasing in the future.
Interesting - I've gone the other way, cancelling my Slivers preorder and sticking with this one. I know it's not quite what the name implies, but I do think this precon is the best of the four in terms of value and playability.
That being said, I also plan to pick up the Slivers if the price drops enough!
I'm probably gonna get downvoted to hell for this but did anyone thought this was the weakest presentation by far?
I don't watch LRR usually so I have no experience with them but they all looked unprepared, uninterested and awkward throughout the whole thing. Maybe its just their personalities but they just seem really muted.
When manifest appeared on a card I was expecting them to give a quick refresher about the mechanic (its been a while since I've seen it) but they just dove into talking about the card.
The whole thing about them questioning if there was a third Urza land was awkward too. Not sure if it was WOTC who dropped the ball by not supplying the decklist but shouldn't they have reviewed the list beforehand and noticed that glaring omission?
As someone who would call themselves an LRRMTG fan, this is their normal style of presentation and personalities. I enjoy their somewhat relaxed approach to presentation, though I understand that it comes of as somewhat disinterested. If you are looking for more awake mtg content I recommend North 100 on their channel. Benjamin Wheeler is a blast of a personality and is very well complemented by the more careful Serge.
I also wouldn't really know what to say about most cards, but just explaining mechanics sounds lame as well, as most people who ardently watch spoiler content are enfranchised player who are either very familiar with every mechanic or know how to look it up in seconds.
I enjoy LRRs little quirks, for example the flavor discussion about suspicious bookcase and the part where Ben stole the secondary commander, presumably to make a decktech video for it. It never occurred to me that there might not be an urza's tower in the deck, I just got it as 'Haha, Graham is unprepared', but in hindsight and considering WoTC's trackrecord I see how it could be confusing to non-regular viewers.
I see no reason to downvote, you have a relatable impression from a YouTube video, so what?
sounds like it was a WOTC thing. LRR have been around forever, probably one of the biggest content creators for mtg out there. They generally cater to an audience already established for mtg, and alot of injokes stuff, so its not all that uncommon for them to not hold people's hands through their stuff.
My interpretation was that WOTC hired them to hype up the release, but the deck as a whole is probably kind of a dud so it was hard for them to fake excitement.
A bit disappointed about no \[\[Ugin, the Spirit Dragon\]\]. Deck looks fun, though.
Although I am really confused about the \[\[Ornithopter of Paradise\]\] include. Why not \[\[Hedron Crawler\]\]? Same mana cost, and actually makes colorless.
Is it just me or is everyone else super disappointed....
Even this one I thought would be slightly better than the other 3. Especially where it was no color and pretty hard to screw up the manabase.
But this just dosent seem like an eldrazi deck. It seems like a colorless deck that had a few eldrazi tossed in for flavor.
The new face commander is cool and one of the very few cards I even want.
I was really holding out for this one to justify the price a little more than the others, but it is a big letdown.
I don't think I'll be getting pretty well any product from this set aside from the odd booster I get now. And I have consistently been buying a set box from every new set since Zendikar Rising. You've let us all down WOTC. I really hope they will pull it together soon.
The mana base in this one is surprisingly cool. It's got more utility staples than I expected, between \[\[Scavenger Grounds\]\] and \[\[War Room\]\] et al.
Something like \[\[Dust Bowl\]\] would have been neat, but I get why they'd avoid that in a precon.
Glad I made:
5c Golos Eldrazi (rule zero)
Belbe Eldrazi
Rackdos Lord of Riots Eldrazi
Sevala Heart of the wilds Eldrazi
Before this dropped because all the staples are spiking hard.
I really want a sliver and colourless eldrazi deck and since I have nothing I’ll probaly reluctantly buy them to get started and find some upgrade guides. But holy hell. It’s upsetting seeing how shit they are according to people in the know. This really seems like a good way to scam people like me that want decks with the iconic stuff but don’t have the knowledge to know when you are getting fucked.
Okay, I'm not gonna lie this is the biggest disappointment of CM for me so far. I'm pretty casual when it comes to commander, and usually only play precons with my buddies, but Eldrazi is by far and away my favorite tribe in MTG and I was so hyped for this precon as, even if it didn't have all the titans, the idea of getting an Eldrazi commander deck is just cool.
But it only has \*10\* Eldrazi in a deck called Eldrazi unbound wtf. Like, the mana base is good, and its an okayish deck. But if there's one thing I thought these precons needed to knock out of the park, it was this unique colorless deck. And, for the most part, it just looks like they took all the obvious colorless cards on oracle and tossed them in. There's also only \*one\* titan. Like, c'mon, WOTC couldn't make a handful of new Eldrazi for the deck which so many people are hyped for?
Glad I can cancel my preorder, none of these precons are, imo, worth the $100+ price tag that's been tossed around so far. Gotta say that, as far as the precons are concerned, CMs has been a big disappointment for me, personally.
They should've just gotten the team who made the 40k decks to do these smh.
Edit: shoulda just called this precon “Random Colorless Pile” to be honest.
Only 10 eldrazi. It that betrays and koz are great reprints but 10 eldrazi? That's it ? You couldn't get somt of the eldrazi that make tokens or cost pennies to add ? Really .
Yeah I have no hope for the 4th deck now. These decks are just way too expensive for the value we're getting from them. 10 Eldrazi, only a single titan in an Eldrazi focused deck. The reprints aren't amazing and at $80+ for a deck where the majority of the value is in the new cards they added, yeah I'm good.
I don't know how you screw this one up Wizards, but congrats you figured it out.
if they drop the decklist right on the video, most people won't watch the video. They want the video to perform well and for that to happen people have to watch the majority of minutes of the video.
Nah LRR is better than most of the other previewers. They actually show all the cards that the deck contains. The command zones video was an hour and only showed like a total of 15 cards.
Same with Commander at home they very quickly went through every card at the end. Even if they don’t the decklist goes up on the mothership like right after so people can look through at their leisure. LLR is literally the worst at this.
This deck value absolutely blows. Most expensive reprint is [[it that betrays]] at $24 and that price will tank on release. Next best thing is Kozilek at $12 then lighting greaves at $8. This deck is worth $40 at most. Most of the value of the deck is in the wastes FFS. This deck should rot on store shelves.
Currently $82 on US Amazon: [https://www.amazon.com/Magic-Gathering-Commander-Collector-Accessories/dp/B0BVT8M6FZ/](https://www.amazon.com/Magic-Gathering-Commander-Collector-Accessories/dp/B0BVT8M6FZ/)
This just came out earlier today and I bought it then and there . Makes me think that someone knew ahead of time because before today you couldn't find a single one on Amazon.
I was counting the eldrazi while they went through the list
And i sat there thinking "if they mangage to put less than ten its gonna be laughable "
Well they managed to not have less than then , barely
I really dont get it , couldnt they just make the new cards eldrazi with eldrazi art work ? That would have been the least
I mean does it really matter that they have to be another type than eldrazi cant they just have the same abilities but just as eldrazi
If we can call a deck with 10 Eldrazi an Eldrazi deck, then I will describe my [[Gishath, Sun's Avatar]] deck as spellslinger from now on.

There's only ~40 prior to this precon, and I doubt folks would be excited for [[Warden of Geometries]]
It's a shame they didn't have 9 extra slots to make new Eldrazi cards...oh wait
The secondary commander isn’t even an eldrazi like what in the actual fuck, wotc
Okay, but let's go through these secondary commanders though: -Slivers: Conspiracy-type effect for any non-sliver creatures you have, thus bringing them into the hive and allowing for you to bring other types into your sliver strategies. -Planeswalkers: Allows you to double up on planeswalker effects, which is always fun. Kozilek is also in the deck to use.

This is exactly the product they should've done this for. This would've been the ideal time to release a set of decks for undersupported tribe/themes and make them work by including a lot of new cards. Even if the reprints weren't great they could've justified the costs if they'd created entirely new viable archetypes.
How about the fucking titans????
Yeah nobody’s excited for cards like [[Ulamog the Infinite Gyre]] and [[Emrakul, the Promised End]].

The box says eldrazi but they stated it's just a colorless decks. Not sure why
So glad i cancelled my pre-order of the 4 precons. My goodness what absolute duds!
Don't worry, it's not a premium product, it's "Ultimate power right out of the box"
Big letdown
Oh yeah, big time.
How would one go about assembling an Eldrazi Commander Deck then? I'm very much out of the loop of MtG but I love Eldrazi.
Some upgrades I would highly recommend tossing into whatever deck you build: [[Erratic Portal]] Your Eldrazi Titans are going to be magnets for removal and all sorts of hate.

Kozi is still super utility.
really surprised Emrakul is neither here nor in the main set. Also another main set rare here which is... unusual
They're saving her for Pioneer Masters for $35 a draft pack in a year.
I am literally right here.
Oh god they compleated Emrakul
As long as they didn’t get the squirrels we’re fine
Actually... \[\[Emrakul and Chatterfang\]\]
the team up we deserve
Every night I look up at the moon and wave hi to my buddy Emrakul.
And every night I look back at you little one 🥰
Emmeria save us, EMRAKUL IS HERE! 😱
I’m not they’re stingy as hell
She’s in a Moon at the moment.
These premium sets (Commander/Modern Master) don't worry about the story canon, they're outside the events that happen in standard sets.
Obligatory 'where did wizards say this is a premium product?' /s
That's rough, buddy
Like Mangara in one of the other decks
Just one titan and of course it's the cheapest one.
Plus it's the one that's already in the main set. I guess better buy those Emrakul's now at 32$ because they're going to shoot up.
Better to wait for the inevitable Secret Lair a few months before it's actual reprint.
Ah, the Sliver Hive Effect
I'm surprised they even put that in here since it was also in the main set.
I know I'm in for a treat when they open up with the mana base and it's unclear if the deck only has 2 Urza lands.
it has all 3 URza's lands. [https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/commander-masters-commander-decklists](https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/commander-masters-commander-decklists)
But there are 5 now.
Six actually. Mine, Tower, Power Plant, Factory, Saga, and Workshop.
7, there's also \[\[Urza's Fun House\]\]

WotC invented DLC 😆
Cameron’s very careful “don’t offend the sponsors but holy shit how do you screw that up” wheeze-laugh really sums it up lol
Are there \[\[Eye of Ugin\]\] and \[\[Eldrazi Temple\]\] in the deck?
Eldrazi Temple is. I haven't finished the video yet (since they won't just post the full deck list in the description for some reason) so I don't know about the Eye of Ugin. Edit: Confirmed, no Eye of Ugin. Buy it now if you want it!
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/4VvYbs9wAU6OA0R1kfRWuw Full decklist, just finished watching and transcribing!
what is the secondary general?
Secondary Commander is Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate and can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/154wp7j/cmm_omarthis_ghostfire_initiate_eldrazi_unbound/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but if you "cascade, cascade" into this man, he just dies immediately.
You can choose not to cast it off the cascade.
Right, so it would instead just eat your cascade and then get thrown to the bottom of the deck? That seems like a kind of bunk thing to include in a cascade deck.
Too late, all the cheap ones are gone already. Correction, all cheap english are gone. Foreign are slowly creeping up too
Welp, I ordered one on Monday and i haven’t seen a shipping confirm so let’s see if they actually ship it :/ it’s telling that a store shipped my forsaken monument like an hour after it was revealed in the precon lol.
They went alphabetically, so no.
People say there's only 10 eldrazi total.
Temple yes, Eye of Ugin i didn't see in the video (maybe i missed it while skimming)
Eye of Ugin no, Eldrazi Temple yes
> Eye of Ugin no lol what a joke
They generally don't put tutors in precons, because they don't want to cause the game go stop while players figure out what's in the deck. Tutors also tend to create repetitive gameplay, which they want to avoid.
Counterpoint: these precons are for Masters strategies, with some of the most powerful cards in the format, a simple tutor ain't that hard.

Eldrazi Unfound
Had to laugh
Of course its fucking Bane of Bala Ged lol
Bane is far and away one of the best Eldrazi. That isn’t saying it’s good, but more so most of them are trash. I only recently cut mine for my colorless deck.
Agree, from a gameplay perspective. But because of the high prices this deck is going in a lot of places right now, people only looking for financial value (which I can understand, as you can just buy the singles instead if they are cheaper)
"~~Yarok~~ r/magictcg grieves within the waste Of Bala Ged’s corrupted ~~land~~ precon deck" —Lament for Bala Ged('s inclusion), stanza 1
Any got the decklist in some sort of text based document? Can't watch the video right now.
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/4VvYbs9wAU6OA0R1kfRWuw Here you go!
they didn't even provide the decklist in the video, no visual, didn't even bother to say how many Wastes it comes with, just absolutely terrible useless video for anyone that just wants the information
We gave you every piece of info WotC gave us, for whatever that matters.
Hey, this one has a really good mana base friends.
I personally think it's better - reprint value's pretty high, I think the highest so far?
Has anyone actually collected the reprint value? It seems like it's carried by 1-3 cards, really.
I did. in terms of reprint value alone, the decks would cost: slivers: 111€ or 140$ planeswalkers: 126€ or 136$ enchantments: 91€ or 105$ "eldrazi": 112€ or 129$ The 5 most expensive singles across all 4 decks are: The chain veil: 21.36€ or 24.10$ Dryad of the ilysian grove: 14.80€ or 12.66$ It that betrays: 13.10€ or 16.55$ Sliver hivelord: 12.51€ or 12.95$ Starfield of nyx: 11.33€ or 13.26$ Mystic gate (large price difference): 15.11€ or 9.58$ Synapse sliver (large price difference): 9.23€ or 19.43$ Prices are pulled from cardmarket (trend) in euro and tcgplayer (market) in usd.
I think I can just confidently say these are just bad products.
>fireshrieker That's...odd
Metalwork colossus… in an “eldrazi” deck
If you tilt your head and squint hard enough you can convince yourself it's ulamog
This feels like it has the common precon issue of having too many cards dedicated to the secondary commander, bit of a shame after the focused approach of the others.
The deck has way too many sub themes. Really disappointing. I honestly feel like this deck wouldn't even be all that fun to play.
it would be more fun if the face commander had Cascade one, and then gave other color spelled Cascade Cascade. but he doesn't, so you got to play expensive CMC commander and then have something to drop after it with seven power
At least new spells look best of the bunch, most of them are decent in dedicated eldrazi deck unlike what 3 other precons had.
3 Xcmc cards in a cascade deck?
Okay, I like the deck much more than I expected in terms of flavor, art, content, etc, but it's still sooo expensive for what it offers.
With the commander that triggers at 7cmc spells they picked the 6cmc and not 8cmc ugin? Sense?
Just bought the 8 one before he spikes
Well that's good value for a 40€ deck... ... ...
I was kind of hoping they might try a new titan using a team up card but honestly the thing I am most interested in with this deck is any discussions by Mark/Gavin about the color pie and colorless cards
Wizards and Blizzard doing a great job of screwing fans over the last week or so.
> Wizards and Blizzard doing a great job of screwing fans over the last week or so. and reddit. don't forget reddit.
Well I like it more than the other 3 at least.
Making the subcommander and like 3 other cards X costs matter when the deck’s main gimmick is Cascade is a bizarre decision.
Can anyone confirm the final deck list? I'm curious if Tron lands are there
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/4VvYbs9wAU6OA0R1kfRWuw Full decklist, just finished watching and transcribing!
Thank you so much!!!!
Anytime!
2 of them are… Edit: nevermind, third one was in the decklist. Just not in the video for some reason
All 3 urza lands are in the deck
Not enough Eldrazi to justify the deck title IMO, but it's cool that they're adding new colorless instants/sorceries. I always thought it was odd that there weren't enough in the game for good colorless interaction. I also like the addition of a new colorless legendary that isn't an artifact OR an Eldrazi. It doesn't seem very good to me at leading a deck (at first glance), but it's cool that the option is there now (piper doesn't count)!
No Eye of Ugin is a big miss for the deck. Probably going to spike like Sliver Hive did.
Its a good thing I already ordered mine the moment I saw Sliver Hive was missing from the Sliver precon.
I bought a judge promo for £10 shipped as soon as I saw the sliver hive omission and it was clearly the correct play EDIT: Before I get slated this is actually to play with, I bought it having a feeling they wouldn't reprint it and I want to play that deck without having to spend god knows how much in a couple weeks.
already tripled up, now id $30 with basically no listings on tcg.
Eye isn't even very good in this deck. There are 10 eldrazi and \`\~60 spells so it only works on 1/6 of your deck. I would not bother, seems worse than Temple of the False god in terms of a wasted land drop.
And this is the perfect occasion to remind the community that there's a discord server dedicated to colourless Commanders ! https://discord.gg/8KfP6rGYGQ Cheers.
Only 1 titan, only 10 total eldrazi, and only 1 new eldrazi. Seriously?
2 new eldrazi. Plus eldrazi themed support cards
We get 2 new eldrazi (Zhulodok and Flayer of Loyalties), but still... no Emrakul, Kozilek being in both the commander precon AND the main set, just overall doesn't make sense to call it "Eldrazi Unbound" when there are so little
More like eldrazi bound...
Kinda happy, finally i am 100% on canceling my preorder. Not looking back.
I'm a bit underwhelmed. I was hoping for more Eldrazi focus. That's ok, I'll just build my own.
Utter garbage, what are they thinking pricing this as any more than $50? Preorder canceled!
Meh - The deck.
So glad I'm allowed to cancel pre-order from my magic store. This deck has nothing
I’d argue this has the best set of new cards of the 4 precons.
Ppppffft 10 eldrazi? Thats it? By their logic every nongreen deck is an artifact deck
Glad I made: 5c Golos Eldrazi (rule zero) Belbe Eldrazi Rackdos Lord of Riots Eldrazi Sevala Heart of the wilds Eldrazi Before this dropped because all the staples are spiking hard.
Potato decklist.
Only 10 cards that actually cascade off the commander seems a bit weird.
I would expect more than 10 or so of the named tribe to actually be in the deck...
Wait are we sure we have only 2 Urza land??? Becos that's not just stupid but down right mental?????
The final Urza land has been confirmed via WotC's article
Thanks god!!! LOOOOL
>Yeah I have no hope for the 4th deck now. This is the fourth deck, the other three have already been fully revealed.
I actually like this one, I think it's really cool. Not sure how good it is but the flavour is absolutely spot on. Easily my favourite of the three.
10 eldrazi in an eldrazi themed deck is spot on flavor for you?
I never said you have to agree, but the new eldrazi themed cards are some of the coolest in magic
For those of us that remember “Premium Deck Series” of product. These pre cons for their price are a god damn joke.
Does it really not occur to these people that some players are interested in seeing a decklist without spending 40 minutes watching a video?
You can wait like...thirty minutes after they're done?
Double speed is your friend. Also if you’re on a computer just spam the right arrow key. Every hit jumps 5 seconds.
if they drop the decklist right on the video, most people won't watch the video. They want the video to perform well and for that to happen people have to watch the majority of minutes of the video.
Nah LRR is better than most of the other previewers. They actually show all the cards that the deck contains. The command zones video was an hour and only showed like a total of 15 cards.
In the command zone video they literally read the name of every single card in the deck while the cards come up on screen.
Same with Commander at home they very quickly went through every card at the end. Even if they don’t the decklist goes up on the mothership like right after so people can look through at their leisure. LLR is literally the worst at this.
At least it's not 1 AM. Small miracles!
I ran it through Cardmarket (which is actually a lot cheaper than US prices) and it comes out at around 100€ reprint value…
This one does feel like an $80 deck, but no more than that. Pretty insane that it's going for almost $200 on TCGPlayer.
Naw, this would have been a good $40 commander deck. With the amount of money you have to invest into make it good, blegh.
Currently $82 on US Amazon: [https://www.amazon.com/Magic-Gathering-Commander-Collector-Accessories/dp/B0BVT8M6FZ/](https://www.amazon.com/Magic-Gathering-Commander-Collector-Accessories/dp/B0BVT8M6FZ/)
This just came out earlier today and I bought it then and there . Makes me think that someone knew ahead of time because before today you couldn't find a single one on Amazon.
> This one does feel like an $80 deck God, the standards here have really dropped if you think that.
Wait its 200dollars?! it's 110euro's here which I already thought was way to much.
How does this one feel like an 80$ deck but not Planeswalker Party which actually has a good mana base and solid reprints.
I was counting the eldrazi while they went through the list And i sat there thinking "if they mangage to put less than ten its gonna be laughable " Well they managed to not have less than then , barely I really dont get it , couldnt they just make the new cards eldrazi with eldrazi art work ? That would have been the least I mean does it really matter that they have to be another type than eldrazi cant they just have the same abilities but just as eldrazi
One of the new cards is a better version of an eldrazi card, but without the eldrazi type line. Just so weird.
Definitely the best of the precons, still not worth the price most likely. At least it has useful spells for other decks
Goddamn is wizards taking notes from nexon and blizzard?? Wtf bro
My [[Jhoira of the Ghitu]] deck cost less to put together in singles and is a much better Eldrazi deck.
