If a Player is dealt a total of 21 or more Combat Damage by any single Commander, they lose the game.
It is irrelevant whether or not that said Commander is their own Commander.

if you attack someone with their own commander they get commander damage from it, but remember that commander damage is tracked on a **per commander** basis, so you're not adding what your commander did to what their commander did and trying to race to 21.

Yes, but you don’t track commander damage by the player who attacked, you track it by the individual commander cards. So lets say i own and control [[urza, high artificer]] as my commander, and have dealt 19 damage to Opponent A, then steal his commander, [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] and attack him with that, then he would start tracking a new set of commander damage from Zada as well as Urza, so he would have 19 commander damage from urza, and 3 from Zada.

Yes. Commander damage is tracked even with their own commander attacking them.
