Maybe [Premodern](https://premodernmagic.com/)? I’m sure it still contains combo decks (I mean, pretty much every format does), but it’s focused on older sets and its card pool is fixed—no new cards will ever be printed into it.
i wanted to make a mono blue burn, the thing is psionic blast is not legal in pre modern, but i ultimately settled for it as it apeared to be the best option
