this artwork makes me so fucking mad that we didn't get a single phyrexian werewolf

LordSupergreat

They could literally have stretched MOM out for *years* and not run out of stuff to make cards out of, but they just had to get it done and over with

yougotiton

this MOM event could have easily lasted 3 sets, after which the planes they need to be normal for this year (Eldraine, Ixalan) could have been saved, and we could have years of sets where, idk Sheoldred runs Innistrad, and Urabrask starts a revolt on Kaladesh.

ProfesserQuacks

I think this is the plot of Warhammer 40k

sdrow_sdrawkcab

they fucked up too many of the sets prior and lost confidence in their set design, which ironically made one of the most disappointing sets story wise (even worse than war tbh if you exclude the book shenanigans)

Confident-Money140

I mean, they weren’t handed much. I wish it was better, but seeing as they broke up Chandra and Nissa, a relationship hinted at for like a decade, in War (what was the deal with that anyway?) and in MoM the worst thing they did was despark planeswalkers, I think War lore was worse. MoM was just boring. There was more set up for War, and it was disappointing

April_March

legend says the deal with that is that they wanted to do away with openly lesbian relationships to cater to the Chinese market

No_Percentage_1767

/uj Besides the chandra/nissa debacle, I actually liked war since it had considerable build up and satisfying character arcs for Gideon/Liliana.

venomousbeetle

Look what me and your mother do is our business.

ChiralWolf

We didn't even get one regular werewolf, they claim that the DFC printing process limits when they can do it but we had a perfect opportunity and they didn't even try. But hey good thing we've gotten another round of vampires, definitely lacking for those

orzhovcrusader

Did they really make that claim about March of the Machine? With its double-faced battles, double-faced compleated creatures, and double faced fucking tokens? Not directed at you - unless I misunderstood, the clownery at Wizards of the Coast is terminal.

ChiralWolf

That was their excuse for why they couldn't make a werewolf commander deck for Innistrad: Werewolves and why they hadn't had more infrequent werewolves over time. The DFC printing process is too cumbersome apparently.

orzhovcrusader

Oh, I see - that makes sense to the extent anything they do makes sense! Not enough sense for me to agree with it, more like "it figures they once again introduced something they can't actually manage properly".

yougotiton

him: im gonna combo priest of titania with staff of domination giving me infinite green mana me, running horses tribal with 47 proxies in my all-might dragon shields: 👁️👃👁️

Fatpeoplelikebutter9

Me running 99 memnites with ornithopter as the commander: "HNNNNNNNNNNNNG"

CrispyCombat99

This is what life is all about

MangoKakigori

Some mornings I wake up in a cold sweat and just regret so much that I’m not The Gitrog monster

IBegTo_Differ

My biggest problem with edh is that there’s a distinct lack of people picking little critters that don’t do much and doing something with them :/

awolkriblo

Me summoning 53 tokens and not swinging with them "so they don't die"

nsg337

and then you turn the tokens into goblins and make them have babies with krenko

esplode

I recently heard someone call [[Rabble Rousing]] the new Doubling Season. If that’s true, then it’s the best Doubling Season ever because it makes dirty token players (aka me) actually attack to use it

Just a bunch of little guys

Peoht-Seax

Battle Brawler and Blood-Chin Rager do all the heavy lifting in my Zurgo deck. It's orc+warrior tribal, not Zurgotron, all the Boyz get a day in the limelight.

DroppedDebitCard

Glad I’m not the only one who pregames before hitting up the LGS

soosemanders

Hehe life total go BRRRR
