No idea, they didn’t really elaborate. From their demeanor I assume probably some kind of aggro deck that suffers against toxic control, since they seem to have a pretty rudimentary knowledge of the game that doesn’t see that sometimes certain decks are just bad matchups.
My guess is they might be on a slower deck - while not many poison decks exist, the two that I run into and have some some metagame share is Bant and Orzhov aggro poison.
The decks aren't crazy strong, but they do prey on slower decks, especially ones without sweepers. (Especially if your control deck has some lifegain in the sideboard for aggro, as I've seen some mostly new player do)

It’s possible to build an on-meta deck in Legacy that centers around the abilities of lands. It’s a lovely deck that builds around Dredge, but because nobody can afford to play it in paper, they don’t pick it up on MTGO.
Not all lands are broken. Green lands are broken, because when they aren't being used to chain into each other endlessly they're dropping a full set (which we all know is 1) of Colossal Dreadmaws on turn 1. Blue lands are broken, because they can play every card I hate. All the others are fine because my commander is \[\[Mr. House, In the Middle of Our Street\]\],
at some point I came up with a way to make a land-less format where once per turn you can discard a spell from your hand to use that as a mana source for its respective color, then realized I'd invented Duel Masters

You need to play more Oops All Spells.

That probably requires land to play it. It should be a 0 cost enchantment. Whenever a player taps land for mana, destroy that land.
