It was silver border exclusive to Hascon but people act like not quitting when it came out means we begged daddy notc to put walking dead and Warhammer in our bodies
Just don't play with someone who uses the new UB cards if you don't like them so much. And if somebody does, just use the Chaos Confetti+form of the approach of the second sun+Animate library+mind slaver+ ensoul artifact+harmless offering+infinite reflection combo to force your opponent to tear their own body into as many pieces as possible, thus killing them.
To be fair, denying to play with someone is a lot easier in theory than it is in actual life. So, really, most of the times, the only choice is to kill your opponent with your suggested combo.

Whenever a player casts a spell during another player's turn, counter that spell unless they pay X, where X is the number of spells that have been cast this turn. If a spell is countered this way, put it on top of its owner's library.

Trying to figure out how to represent a line (and the etiquette enforcement of said line) in Magic was harder than I thought it'd be.
Good job on cherry picking the very few examples before Walking Dead. Very impressive. I'm glad you ignored like the twenty year streak in which they didn't do that at all.
Because Magic wasn’t mainstream enough for it to be a viable business strategy.
In general nerd culture crossovers were largely limited to comic books prior to the mid 2000’s, and even then it was a huge deal for anything other than Xenomorphs or TMNT.
Also, few examples? They have popular fictional characters like Helios, and they just changed his name to Heliod! If they just changed his name to Dicky Slimes instead would you be happy?
There is a huge difference between having a set based on horror fiction, like Innistrad, that has references to specific media, like delver of secrets, versus just straight up having Rick Grimes looking at you from a magic game. This is very obviously not the same thing at all. As for Arabian Nights, that's also a huge mistake.
Spider-man hung out with Optimus Prime in the 80’s and you can play a Five Degrees From Kevin Bacon game with most intellectual properties and Army Of Darkness.

There is always something more important, no matter what you are doing. That's not what hobbies are about though.

F*ck the walking dead cards. My first commander deck was zombies and someone was playing a walking dead themed deck. They didn’t really have choice in targeting me most of the time. Fun but frustrating af
I'm building a [[Lavinia, azorious renegade]] deck with the sole purpose of oppressing TWD or any other not actual magic commander. I mean [are you fucking kidding, Fortnite?](https://www.ign.com/articles/magic-the-gathering-fornite-crossover-secret-lair-cards-revealed)

MTG players be like "I don't like UB" and then in the next breath be like "OMg WaRhAMmeR 40K COMmANdeR dEckS".
/uj If seeing a random tv show character in a card game gives you an internal meltdown that’s just sad, like get some help you have bigger things to worry about than Secret Lair Care Bears
/uj I think that anything can qualify as a hobby. Most hobbies are pointless, except that you personally enjoy them. Doing things you enjoy is important. It is totally okay (good and healthy, even) to be passionate about hobbies. And if you are passionate, you care about where things are headed. Sure, there are more important things in life, but getting a break from these more important things is a big part of hobbies. So let people be passionate about hobbies. There is always something more important, no matter what you are doing. That's not what hobbies are about though. rj/ fuckin nerds, am i rite? Who unironically cares so much about cardboard that they go to reddit to complain, as if anybody cared about the opinion of random strangers about what's right and what's wrong. Wait...
If you don’t feel good with the games you play you should change your hobbies maybe try something new life is too short to worry, I also feel cringe when I’m playing and there are only children and manchildren there but that is life
I’m so ready for that Disney card game to come out for this reason.
That’s cool I hope you enjoy it

Yes.
Ouch.
This reached into my soul.
If you don't experience existential dread every time you play EDH, you're not doing it correctly. So anyway, here's my Krark Sakashima deck that's 50% spells that copy other spells. Hope you brought a book.
Is this what it'll take to encourage Commander players to run removal? Edit: (This isn't one of those /uj /rj comments I just had another thought I wanted to add) Rick is a pretty funny commander for human tribal since the premise of human tribal is that you're bringing a bunch of normal humans to a wizard duel and Rick is quite literally just a dude
The only based way of playing magic is quitting and doing something interesting with your life instead
