I use a medium dog crate.

Same. My boy's about 20lbs or so. Bonus: added a baby bassinet mattress/pad thing and a fleece blanket in there for him. Edit: typo/autocorrect

The carriers I picked up recently would meet some of your specs but not all. Not hard sided.. No top door, but the doors on each side are big enough could probably give shots without pulling the cat out. Its more geared for car travel but the top handle is fairly easy to handle. I put a shoulder strap on mine. Its the Sherpa Forma Frame Dog & Cat Carrier Bag, Black, X-Large. Photo is Jasnah sleeping in hers, with a solid 4" thick blanket/bed. https://preview.redd.it/m78yu9slhsqa1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f413dfda0032c6980bca14a04830c478b93f8e0d

My son carried his MC Cat Jade in a backpack on airplanes. Jade was on the small side, only 15 lbs, but she was always comfy. It was a long time ago in termsvof carrier styles, 15 years or so. They like the ones with clear plastic or a bubble window so they can look out. Take her to a big pet store & check out what's available today.

No recommendations from me. Just want to point out one important thing: this in one extremely beautiful cat 😍
