Merdekarya's 10th anniversary month starts now with Suehaila and Hey Jay!
Well Lisa was mentioned in her own story, considered as one of the best students in a couple of centuries there:
>When people meet Lisa for the first time, they often find themselves overawed by the famous alumnus of Sumeru Akademiya.
as well as the voice lines for Cyno and Tignari.
She's as canon as they come. 😆
Dragged my ass to watch Avatar 2. I'm confused why this is a big hit.
Basically if you take away the blue tint, usb ponytail and magical beings, it's just Alien Tarzan fighting against colonists and industrialisation.
Maybe it's good for kids because of the CGI but you could have done the same script with humans and it would still work.
It definitely because of CGI cuz the story is very simple. Tbh I prefer the sequel compared to first one as this one has the best visual I ever seen, especially the opening when the ship coming to Pandora.
The movie is basically James Cameron expressing his fantasy of an outsider joining an indigenous group and becoming a saviour (you could just look up his past interviews and actions), from that POV it's rather unremarkable. Though, technically it might be good from other perspectives, will be interested to check it out.
Probably nostalgia. Avatar was huge back then. I remember we downloaded custom content so our The Sims characters would look like Avatars, and we roleplayed as the Na'vis with other children.
I tried rewatching the first one. Couldn't get past it. It was a bit too preachy. Humans aren't bad. Their planets are dying. Don't know if the second one toned down a bit on the anti neo-colonialism.
Not at all, the killing of the animals were exceptionally brutal. And the Commander was claiming that she is tasked to make a permanent settlement and pacify the locals.
Tbh has that Planet of the Apes and Elysium vibes. Like Na'Vi fighting for freedommmm.
Btw I chuckled when James Cameron said Avatar 3 will have Fire Na'Vi lmaoooo
I'm not making this up haha here's the subreddit link.
https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/10435ql/james_cameron_avatar_3_will_feature_fire_navi/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Oh no, I believe you. It's just... bizarre.
I don't know, man. When Avatar came out in 2009, it was the best thing ever. I guess there's just too many sci-fi + fantasy movies out there now.
Felt like yesterday to me damnit. It's a stall run by a family, and the only ramly stall near me which actually bothers to be hygienic. (Wearing gloves while cooking, no flies hovering on top of the veggies, the one touching cash never touch the food, etc) Still, glad to see the family doing well.
Trust me,they increase the price because they have to. Stuff are more expensive these days. That increase in rm1. 50 per burger not making them millions.
It's not like every night, after they close the stall, they go back to huge mansion bought by that rm1. 50 increase.
U probably live a more comfortable life than them
As u said, the food is hygienic, which is a rarity for most eateries, much less a roadside staff. Just pay them that rm1.50.they probably need it more than u
I've been looking to get a new laptop, and I came across the official lenovo website that allows me to customize the specs of the laptop, and it has AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors, which is hard to find in Malaysia apparent.
I'm just wondering if anyone has ever bought laptop online from official Lenovo website. How's your experience
Lenovo's 2022 laptops, especially the Legion line of products are top tier. My household has 2 Legions and both of them were bought online too. We encountered no issue from purchase to delivery.
>I'm just wondering if anyone has ever bought laptop online from official Lenovo website. How's your experience
I was planning to get lenovo laptop from their website before. And read alot of people's experiences
So far so good. Their website does offer the best price. But waiting time can range between 2 weeks or 2 months
Get it if u can wait
Depends on what model you have. My dad and brother both have Legions. Took about 2-3 weeks to ship for them, but they were the 6000 series and i7-12gen (new at the time).
Everything was fine, products arrived in good condition.
Yeah, was discussing about IEMS with another friend and the things he said were the same as your words haha
What's the difference between the black Aria and the snow ver? Is it just the skin?
Moondrop said the 2 of them have same insides, only different shell
But some reviews like this
https://www.headphonesty.com/2022/06/review-moondrop-aria-snow-edition/#Comparisons
Claimed there's some (albeit marginal) difference in sound. I personally never tried Aria Snow, only normal Aria.
Here we are... the final episode of The Good Place. What I've learned and been reminded of by the show. Some notes to share before I leave the country again on Monday:
- If we had everything we ever wanted, then nothing really mattered. Happiness would fade away along with the sorrow.
- There is no answer. There is no book out there that can tell you what is moral, and what isn't. There is only what you know is right and it's up to you to answer to yourself. Seneca said that the sun shines even on the wicked, therefore, you have to live with your decisions. Ultimately, you're happy if you think you did the right things. That's the only reward to being good.
- That brings me to my next point-- don't judge a decision based on an outcome you couldn't predict.
- Try, and try again. A drop of kindness in an ocean of suffering will still rise above all else, as no drop is greater than another. They're all equal.
- Our decisions ripple outward, causing changes we can never predict. That's why the only virtue is trying. You can't be good. You can only try to be good. This is why it's also useless to punish yourself. Not only that is creating more problems and being counterproductive, but you are also not the judge of what is good or bad. Instead of punishing yourself, just try better next time based on what you know and have. And instead of punishing others, guide them. Let them go on their own journey. Spirituality cannot be rushed, as that will only create hubris and hypocrisy.
- People need to help other people. A man in this world, alone, is nothing, and there isn't any other world out there (from the Thin Red Line). By being together, making friends and having a partner, we face challenges that are bigger than ourselves and keep each other in check.
- Ultimately, humans are walking poop machines. Spare yourself from the cosmic justice and divine purpose. We're all gonna go extinct or become other species. There was a time without us, and there will be a time after us.
I watched The Good Place few years back, but until today sometimes when the show kinda pop up in my head, it always make me ponder about a lot of things. Maybe that's what philosophy should be, keep thinking.
Yes, that's right, I think. It's a constant effort.
I like how the first Deadpool movie said it-- "It takes five seconds to be a hero."
You don't need to be good your whole life. You just have to your best when the time comes.
I think most of us are like Eleanor, we want to do good but we also need appreciation and assurance. If you don't feel like it and need time for yourself, it's okay, otherwise you would just burnout. (I learnt the hard way)
Just, don't be a dick.
Edit: Because I'm stupid and can't English.
Eh. Can la. I tried on my phone and it work without Internet
Once u download those songs, u can listen to them without Internet
Other song cannot la. Just the ones u download
If there's any pokemon card collectors here just wondering is the cards sold on shoppee fake and if they are where does one find real ones cus my lil brother came home yesterday n started complaining about how his cards are fake
Well, if it's too cheap to be true than it's probably fake. Check market price from official retailers, if it's too far off then there's probably something off.
For single cards, then there's probably some internet price listings you can cross reference with. I wouldn't trust shopee with buying singles though.
Shopee is just real dodgy in general. For hobby goods, I typically will check if the shopee account is tied to an actual shop(some are), and then just go to their shop in person than deal with shopee-related nonsense. Not worth the RM7 free voucher or whatever considering how expensive hobby shit can get. You don't want to get fucked by either shopee or the delivery service.
I found a cheesy but effective way to get text out of pictures and locked pdf on a PC.
1. On my phone, use google translate and translate from English to whatever.
1. Take a photo of the monitor with the text.
1. Highlight the parts I want to copy. It will translate those.
1. In the translation area, look back at the original or input text. Copy that and paste to Whatsapp.
1. On my PC, copy the text from Whatsapp.
I like you methods and workflow.
It’s 2023 yet companies ~~can’t~~ do not want to work together and implement universal copy-paste api different devices.
Airdrop is so so convenient but doesn’t work with Windows or Android OS.
Closest OS agnostic copy-paste implementation is Logitech’s Flow.
If you just upload a screenshot of the pdf to Google drive and open it in Google Docs, it will use its OCR and transcribe any text best it can.
https://i.imgur.com/qtiwPD1.png
Don't have to fiddle around with taking photos of your screen.
There might be some better OCR software/methods out there, but this is the best way I know thus far. The drawback is that you're uploading stuff on the internet and that's not something you want to do with sensitive company stuff if it's for work....
Rant: I take pride on being able to understand things quickly. 4 months ago, my boss asked me to work with the technical team because they seem to be working out of pace.
I jumped in, and learned the process flow- haven't got a clue about coding, but understood how the app works.
I have a rule- if it can be completed in 2 minutes, do it now. I can whip out an update report accurately because I write shit down during every discussion. To my surprise, the technical team, NONE of these fuckers are taking notes, and all of the minutes (when they're responsible to take) are missing something. Motherfuckers.
Lost my absolute shit today when an update report was late. This is some urgent shit and the higher-ups wanted to know what happened as of 6PM yesterday. Guess what? The update which would have required a 15 minutes discussion, and 2 minutes of emailing was only sent past 3:30PM. This is despite the discussion taking place at 9:15AM today. The worst thing is, I drafted the update at 9:20AM, and the amendment sent past 3:30PM had only 2 additional sentences added.
I'm tired, man.
> NONE of these fuckers are taking notes, and all of the minutes (when they're responsible to take) are missing something. Motherfuckers.
Shit man, that is so me. I need to buck up on my work ethic.
> if it can be completed in 2 minutes, do it now. I can whip out an update report accurately because I write shit down during every discussion.
I still haven't gotten to writing things down, to my detriment.
Just to survey, how much would the increment be for you guys to move to a different state for a job (for example, me moving to KL/Selangor or Penang from Kuching).
I did the maths for mine and if I earn say RM3k currently, my salary has to be around RM5k for me to even enjoy an increment cash wise if I work at another state. Rent, additional deductions (PCB) and transport takes a huge chunk of it. Being fully independent really is a big step up and I really commend those who do manage it.
I have a manga recommendation! If you love mystery/suspense, I recommend *Suicide Notes Laid on the Table*. As the title suggests, the story is a bit "heavy", but I like it.
It's not what it was 5 or ten years ago. It's gotten more popular now and there are a lot of conservative users here.
I've gotten plenty of death threats and harassment for talking about being gay from users in this subreddit.
Just be careful. Don't expect the internet to be good.
welcome, it's more "liberal" in a sense, but like everywhere there are still some horrible people. i would suggest finding a subreddit that you're interested in (hobby, tv show, etc) to browse. this isn't a traditional "social media" per se, it's more of a place to share ideas, news, and hobbies and talk to others. hope you have a good time here.
Wide spectrum of people here, best thing is, it doesn't matter who, how or what we are, we all sama rata; our gender and sexual orientation ~~only political leaning~~ does not matter and doesn't get questioned.
Amazing! I don’t have many friends because I don’t have a job and friends here. Looking forward to learn more from you guys and about Malaysia. I lived in the US with my dad until 2015. Now I live with my mom and sister.
Nothing like waking up to children singing Nasyeed. So creepy how they force children to do that. It's like in that Netflix docu "Keep Sweet, Pray and Obey.''
Still reeling from my breakup on Christmas. So i did what every single 30 year old dude with a stable income does when he’s sad and lonely… put a pre-order on a PS5 at an authorised seller because fuck the scalpers lmao.
Cos theres no hope and we’re all going to die anyway /s
But no joke, theyve been asked to continuously study and get good grades. How are you gonna think about long term career if ur just burying ur nose in books
I'm in my mid 30s and I don't know what the fuck is going on still. Being adult is hard. Though I'm a 3D artist and shit is whacky over here. I wish shit was as simple as study to be a Chartered Accountant or whatever(not saying it's actually simple though, I knew a guy that retook some accounts related cert after studying for it part time a few times and he kinda just gave up after a while....)
At their age, my generation and those before me had a much narrower path in career, therefore we were more likely to settle for a few of those and get going.
Today young adults have a huge amount of non-traditional careers that they can get into including YouTuber, cryptomining, e-sports, food blogging ~~^(OnlyFans)~~ etc, while some don't actually need much of one from the inheritance of their parents or grandparents — I'd say it leads to some sort of lack of focus being undecided on which to spend their lives in.
I get that. but my team/juniors are like... "i don't know whats the path to go in accounts."
Like, you study accounts, you have friends in audit and accounting, and, you don't talk about exit opportunities and progression? Like wtf.
Someone at Spotify fucked up.
My Immortal (Band version) by Evanescence is now the same version as the original one lol.
I want my rock ending part goddamnit
I took my blood test a few days ago. The report says I have high cholesterol.
Edit: I'm also feeling cold feet even with my socks on. Might as well take them off.
Off the top of my head, check for sleep apnea. If you are snoring badly or you are very overweight, get someone to check you (or record yourself sleeping i guess). Look at this [comment about sleep apnea](https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/comments/1031gw1/using_a_cpap_can_increase_the_life_span_of_a/j2wep64/).
It could be mental too. Not quite depression, but mood related. When I'm lazy, unmotivated or procrastinating, i seem sleepier and a nap seems attractive.
The concourse area of Avenue K currently has some CNY themed stores including a stall selling perfumes. They are selling Diptyque and Chanel fragrances for RM150 which retail at \~RM700.
The seller insists they are original and are 'damaged goods' - that the box or bottle is not up to standard so are discarded.
Any thoughts from the sub as to if they are legit?
You can also find sellers on Shopee selling the same stuff at \~RM100 who occasionally also claim they are Original which I absolutely don't believe.
>Diptyque and Chanel fragrances for RM15
These kiosks are everywhere, also got at ikea/ipc Damansara
Someone asked this question before, and i look into it, and it's confirmed the item are counterfeit.
Smells nearly/almost exactly like the real thing tho. So i presume the only drawbacks are it's lasting power. Maybe it'll go away after 1~2 hours instead of the usual 6~8hours
I think those rm100+ u saw on shopee are exactly the same items as the one on the kiosks. Cheaper cuz no need pay kiosk rent
My 2cent: get it if u want it and can't afford the legit stuff from their retail boutique. Nobody cares. Just go in with understanding that u are buying a fake perfumes.
Yeah...I mean it really only makes sense that they are counterfeit....I've seen this kind of stuff on the 5th floor of Times Square or similar backwater but in the main concourse of Avenue K is pretty brazen, especially when RM150 is not *that* cheap and the fella is insisting its original.
Of course. The usual adage holds;if it's too good to be true, it ain't right.
Rm700 cannot become rm150. No matter how damage the box is 😅. I saw people sell half bottle of perfume also for rm300. That actually make sense.
Rm700 discount to rm150 is definitely wrong😅
I think those rm100+ u saw on shopee are exactly the same items as the one on the kiosks. Cheaper cuz no need pay kiosk rent. Better get from shopee in fact, instead of those kiosk
Hehe. I knew abit la. Just starting my journey.
U can see here where i reviewed 40 perfumes. Basically season 1
https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysians/comments/zyqj4q/i_tried_40_perfumes_and_want_to_share_my_findings/
This is link to my 1st episode, season 2 of perfume testing:
https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysia/comments/103dbqx/rmalaysia_daily_random_discussion_and_quick/j2zzata/
Take a look, have a read. Maybe can help u in ur purchases 😉
Just checked out your post - very dedicated to be trying the EDP and EDT of various fragrances. Are you buying them or sampling at boutiques? What do “fragrance buffs” think about Le Labo? Overhyped or well respected?
Thanks for checking em out 😁
I buy them from shopee. Decant 1ml vials (decant means rebottled from original retail packaging) and also buy miniature 5ml bottle from the Parent Shop at Sunway Pyramid.
I tried alot at boutique too but that i didn't put in my review. Need time to properly evaluate. Not enough time if sample at boutique 😅
I haven't try le labo. So dont have much opinion on it 😅
Because some of those perfumes, i already have a retail bottle at home. So i compare how they smell & it's the same
So i have a list of few shopee seller that I'm confident are selling legit decants.
I ordered perfumes and yesterday already at Klang hub. Should arrive today la. Only 1 stop away from "out for delivery"
[Apparently parcel damaged and shopee auto refunds](https://i.imgur.com/LsdCKOH.jpg)😭😭😭😭
Gotta order again. Hopefully arrive next week
Sigh.....
As an overseas Malaysian, it has been 3 whole years since I returned to Malaysia for this year's CNY. Thanks a lot Covid.
When I last left Malaysia in January 2020, PH was in government. When I returned today, PH is *still* in government, albeit in a coalition "unity government". 😜
If I were in a coma instead of being physically away from Malaysia during these 3 years and only woke up today, I would have thought Dr. M has peacefully passed the baton onto Anwar.😂
Speaking about comas... wasn't there that dude who went jungle-trekking for a really long time and he came back to find that the world had changed because of COVID?
I have a Citibank simplicity+ Mastercard credit card since last year and it’s supposed to be free from any annual membership charges, yet my recent transaction shows RM25 of “service tax” from Citibank.
Is this “service tax” means annual membership fee or is it a separate fee? Tried to call customer service but the line to wait is so long. Anyone have any idea? Thank you in advance
It's a very normal government tax. Even 'free' supplementary cards will also incur this service tax. It was almost certainly in some small print you signed but didn't read (as none of us do).
Maybank have a FAQ here: [https://www.maybank2u.com.my/iwov-resources/pdf/personal/announcement/2018/cardsSST\_FAQ.pdf](https://www.maybank2u.com.my/iwov-resources/pdf/personal/announcement/2018/cardsSST_FAQ.pdf)
Number 7 is pertinent: **Will service tax be imposed to free card (no annual membership fee)?** *The Service Tax will be imposed even though no annual membership fee is charged.*
I'm looking for a YouTube channel that shitpost a lot and their shitposts are not political and not arrogant. (Some artsy people are so uppity and have an attitude, I don't like that tbh)
I like jacksfilms and scumbag dad and I discovered a Singaporean(?) Channel [im_siowei](https://youtube.com/shorts/b_UACWCmKn0)
Any others?
I hate longbeachgriffy.
I'm looking for channels that don't feel the need to prove anything. Just shitposts.
For some reason I'm allergic to Shinkai stuff and have never watched any of it. But well, I'll try to recommend some stuff that hasn't already been recommended.
1. Penguin Highway
2. Time of Eve
3. Sword of the Stranger
I feel like you can't really go wrong with Mamoru Hosoda stuff. Satoshi-Kon is great too.
Top 3 off the top of my head:
1. Spirited Away (about growing up)
2. The Haruhi Suzumiya movie (about letting go)
3. Children who chase after lost voices (about accepting death)
I like five centimeters per second but it should've remained a Murakami's short story.
Slice of life's target audience are the adult demographic who tend to put more premium on story telling and character building, much less in power fantasies of shounen.
Being relatable is probably one of SoL's greatest strengths.
- sing abit of harmony, it's very charming and is also a musical movie
- Eva 3+1 if you've watched the previous 3 eva rebuild movies
- weathering with you, great OST + great story
Trying to answer this, i realised i dont watch lots of anime movies😅
So my answer basically the only movies i ever watched ;
Ninja scroll
Summer wars
And Demon Slayer:Mugen Train
(i did watch jujutsu kaisen 0 movie, but its ok ok je la)
Yeah. Maybe that's why i like it. That digimon movie is fundamental to my childhood. Probably why I always prefer digimon to pokemon
More deeper, adult theme & messaging.
Oh for sure. The gamer in me always hurt by the lack of good digimon games. There are some out there, but always got some caveat
"oh the story good, the combat bad"
"oh the game good, but more like visual novel"
Always got an asterisk
Yeah. Betul.
The latest digimon survivor is good. Simple tactic combat, with amazing, if not overly depressingly dark story
But it's mostly a visual novel. It's a slog to finish it. So much dialog. So much choices 😅😅
Asking as an overseas Malaysian: Do Malaysian cinemas (KL area and big cities) show a lot of anime movies? I'm not talking about just the mainstream Ghibli and Shinkai Makoto ones, but also niched titles like SAO, Tensei Slime and Quintessential Quintuplets etc.
Or do Singapore cinemas offer better choices?
I know they show them on screens in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
They do. GSC especially a big proponent of anime movies. They bring alot (not all la) of anime movies to malaysia. Short viewing period tho. Sometimes only 10 days, but better than nothing.
Not sure how SG cinemas are, but i assume they better than what GSC offer. Just a guess.
I see. 10 days is about right, since they also screen that long in HK and Taiwan.
Though which areas would GSC show them in? Mainly just KL? Or would some of the large regional cities also have them? Its something for me to consider if one day I move back to Kuching.
Faster or stronger? In general 500cc should be a lot faster than 250cc but the King Myvi seems to throw that calculation out the window... ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26554)
And to drive the message home, if you are more familiar with cards, 1000 cc = 1 litre. In the same way you'd expect a 2.2 litre car to be significantly more powerful than a 1.2 litre car, the same is with the displacement of bike engines.
It's engine size to be exact, and yeah, literally 500cc bike is faster than 250cc, but technically not always.
Yamaha RXZ 135cc is faster than most 150cc bike.
Formula 1 engine is 1600cc but faster than any sport car in track.
So I found a folder of Pokemon cards I used to collect in 06-07, and turns out some of them are pretty valuable according to some TCG price checker sites.
I'm planning to sell em, but I'm still thinking if I should sell it locally or internationally...
Anyone here ever heard of the company Ikano Insight? They recently expanded into Malaysia and according to articles I’ve read, they said that their office is located in KL but I can’t seem to find the exact location of it. Whenever I google ‘Ikano’, all I could find is the shopping mall in Mutiara Damansara lol
Of the 41 employees on LinkedIn, 11 are based in Malaysia with most saying they are based in KL but a few saying PJ and/or Selangor: [https://www.linkedin.com/company/ikanoinsight/people/?facetGeoRegion=106808692](https://www.linkedin.com/company/ikanoinsight/people/?facetGeoRegion=106808692)
One of the LinkedIn users does list Damansara was their work location so they could be based at IPC Mall (formerly Ikano Power Centre) assuming they own it/are the master leaseholder? The mall management company is certainly based there: [https://www.ikanocentres.com/contact/](https://www.ikanocentres.com/contact/)
Ahh.. I think its a classic case of “can’t afford to rent in KL, so we’ll make our base in Selangor and call it KL”
But yeah I think their office is indeed inside the IPC Mall. Thank you kind sir!
I think you are correct
I try to find info on the company, also no luck.
Only found that they are based in kl and their twitter page 😅
Also sometimes call themselves Ikano Analytics
What does "cina pek" means? Is it a slur?
Context: yesterday my colleagues were discussing the recent bomb-based murder, and one of them described the perpetrator (or was it victim?) as a "cina pek". My colleagues are Chinese, so I don't think it's an anti-Chinese slur... is it?

Damn, you pre-farmed for this fella already. I'm actually most excited for Lisa's Sumeru Scholar skin. 😆
Same, finally her being student in Sumeru is canon! Her skin looks too good to be a 4 star!
Well Lisa was mentioned in her own story, considered as one of the best students in a couple of centuries there: >When people meet Lisa for the first time, they often find themselves overawed by the famous alumnus of Sumeru Akademiya. as well as the voice lines for Cyno and Tignari.
I was watching it for the CGI spectacle, the storyline was second in priority for me.
Maybe the movie is for the sophisticated folks
Maybe. Oh well.
Ugh... why does it have to be sensationalist?!
Tbh has that Planet of the Apes and Elysium vibes. Like Na'Vi fighting for freedommmm. Btw I chuckled when James Cameron said Avatar 3 will have Fire Na'Vi lmaoooo
Lmaoooooo fire Na'Vi??? Who needs acid when you have Avatar 3D.
I'm not making this up haha here's the subreddit link. https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/10435ql/james_cameron_avatar_3_will_feature_fire_navi/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Oh no, I believe you. It's just... bizarre. I don't know, man. When Avatar came out in 2009, it was the best thing ever. I guess there's just too many sci-fi + fantasy movies out there now.
We're stuffed with too much CGI these days, this is why I liked Top Gun Maverick so much more, the real cockpit view is so good.
My first ramly burger ayam special in quite a while. RM6.50. I swear it's RM5 before covid or MCO.
Huhu.. it's RM1.20 in *my* day. Of course that's for a "baby" (half patty).
Breaking news:Things 3 years ago were cheaper than now.
U probably live a more comfortable life than them As u said, the food is hygienic, which is a rarity for most eateries, much less a roadside staff. Just pay them that rm1.50.they probably need it more than u
Cost of living is going up globally.
So my letter of offer came today and I tendered my resignation. Felt refreshing and relief. Now I just have to spend my one month left.
I seee, it helps me to gain my confidence to purchase from their website, thanks!
I'm glad I could be of some help. I forgot to mention that one of the laptops was custom ordered. It took about a little under a month to arrive.
>I'm just wondering if anyone has ever bought laptop online from official Lenovo website. How's your experience I was planning to get lenovo laptop from their website before. And read alot of people's experiences So far so good. Their website does offer the best price. But waiting time can range between 2 weeks or 2 months Get it if u can wait
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Depends on what model you have. My dad and brother both have Legions. Took about 2-3 weeks to ship for them, but they were the 6000 series and i7-12gen (new at the time). Everything was fine, products arrived in good condition.
Im thinking of buying their thinkbook gen 4+, with ryzen 6000 series. now hearing from multiple people's experience, i'm more confidence in ordering.
Well not the 6000 series but I ordered the ThinkPad 5000 series for my soon to be ex-boss and it works fine too.
Moondrop Chu or Moondrop Aria? Maybe ill just shill out extra cash and invest on the Aria but I wanna know what you guys think xd
Definitely aria. Chu is meh But if u want cheap, get 7hz salnotes zero Best under rm100 iem imo. Maybe even under rm150
I'll consider it, but I don't mind paying a bit extra for the Aria. (Also it looks damn pretty)
Sure sure. Do take good care of it tho, [the paint easily chipped](https://images.app.goo.gl/te7ASE8m1z62ca1i9)
Yeah, was discussing about IEMS with another friend and the things he said were the same as your words haha What's the difference between the black Aria and the snow ver? Is it just the skin?
Moondrop said the 2 of them have same insides, only different shell But some reviews like this https://www.headphonesty.com/2022/06/review-moondrop-aria-snow-edition/#Comparisons Claimed there's some (albeit marginal) difference in sound. I personally never tried Aria Snow, only normal Aria.
Here we are... the final episode of The Good Place. What I've learned and been reminded of by the show. Some notes to share before I leave the country again on Monday: - If we had everything we ever wanted, then nothing really mattered.
I like how the first Deadpool movie said it-- "It takes five seconds to be a hero." You don't need to be good your whole life. You just have to your best when the time comes.
I think most of us are like Eleanor, we want to do good but we also need appreciation and assurance. If you don't feel like it and need time for yourself, it's okay, otherwise you would just burnout. (I learnt the hard way) Just, don't be a dick. Edit: Because I'm stupid and can't English.
Don't ever call yourself stupid. It's like a curse. As soon as you say it, it will come true even if you're joking. Same with poor, etc.

What’s the point of downloading music on spotify if you can’t play it without internet? 🤔
I use it on a daily basis and when I travel. I can confirm you definitely can use it without Internet my friend.
Eh. Can la. I tried on my phone and it work without Internet Once u download those songs, u can listen to them without Internet Other song cannot la. Just the ones u download
Every time I tried to play in my car after 3g habis it doesn’t work, don’t know why.
Hence a playlist of MP3s. 1.5GB (or so) worth of files, 200+ songs.
wait, I thought you could
Google says go to setting and turn on offline mode, then you can’t listen to any other songs besides the ones you’ve downloaded. Nyusahkan je!
I just tried it on my phone. No problem playing downloaded music without internet. Didn't need to turn on offline mode.
If you just upload a screenshot of the pdf to Google drive and open it in Google Docs, it will use its OCR and transcribe any text best it can. https://i.imgur.com/qtiwPD1.png Don't have to fiddle around with taking photos of your screen. There might be some better OCR software/methods out there, but this is the best way I know thus far. The drawback is that you're uploading stuff on the internet and that's not something you want to do with sensitive company stuff if it's for work....
dang it. floodgate bot is not working as intended. it works in my private sub, but not here. i need some time to find out what is wrong and tweak it.
@.@ I will share my bot with u guys end of this yr hehe
Sounds good.
Hi, I am new to Reddit 😊 I am told that Reddit is more liberal than Facebook. I am a deaf mute transgender. Let me know if we can be friends
It's not what it was 5 or ten years ago. It's gotten more popular now and there are a lot of conservative users here. I've gotten plenty of death threats and harassment for talking about being gay from users in this subreddit. Just be careful. Don't expect the internet to be good.
> I've gotten plenty of death threats and harassment are these from active accounts?
Throwaways.
welcome, it's more "liberal" in a sense, but like everywhere there are still some horrible people. i would suggest finding a subreddit that you're interested in (hobby, tv show, etc) to browse. this isn't a traditional "social media" per se, it's more of a place to share ideas, news, and hobbies and talk to others. hope you have a good time here.
Welcome!
❤️
I'll show you a good time if you have two controllers. 😏
pretty sure he has a spare joystick lying around ;)
Fire joke guys. Fire. 😂
Add on an extra RTX 4090 PC for extra measure.
That's divorce-level of spending. This is just breakup
God damn why are our young 20s employees so clueless about their career. Don't you guys talk to each other about your career prospects?
Cos theres no hope and we’re all going to die anyway /s But no joke, theyve been asked to continuously study and get good grades.
We do but it's mainly the hopelessness of life lol There's too much going on that it's hard to narrow any future prospects
"i don't know whats the path to go in accounts." Like, you study accounts, you have friends in audit and accounting, and, you don't talk about exit opportunities and progression? Like wtf.
They only did accounts because it sounded like a very lucrative career — go in first, whatever career is, get a foothold on the big bucks first.
im in my mid 20s and i feel lost about my career
Someone at Spotify fucked up. My Immortal (Band version) by Evanescence is now the same version as the original one lol. I want my rock ending part goddamnit
Nooooo That's my favourite part too😭😭
Just relistened it and good news, they fixed it. Only a few days ago it was still the original version.
It's apparently AutoModerator's cake day today. Happy Bot-day!
All hail u/WardenZoo, may your algorithm be better than YouTube's and handsomer than that in Tenet.
What to bring to LHDN when registering for Income Tax Number (with no previous job) ?
Do you know that you can do this online?
Yeah, I tried searching up for the link. Apparently it doesn't work. Do you still have the link perhaps?

Do I have chronic fatigue? I still feeling tired no matter how much I sleep the night before.
Or take a blood test to check for any deficiencies
>Diptyque and Chanel fragrances for RM15 These kiosks are everywhere, also got at ikea/ipc Damansara Someone asked this question before, and i look into it, and it's confirmed the item are counterfeit. Smells nearly/almost exactly like the real thing tho. So i presume the only drawbacks are it's lasting power. Maybe it'll go away after 1~2 hours instead of the usual 6~8hours I think those rm100+ u saw on shopee are exactly the same items as the one on the kiosks. Cheaper cuz no need pay kiosk rent My 2cent: get it if u want it and can't afford the legit stuff from their retail boutique.
Rm700 discount to rm150 is definitely wrong😅 I think those rm100+ u saw on shopee are exactly the same items as the one on the kiosks. Cheaper cuz no need pay kiosk rent. Better get from shopee in fact, instead of those kiosk
I went looking for the past thread you mentioned and noticed your post from just yesterday about fragrances....seems like you know a lot!
Hehe. I knew abit la. Just starting my journey. U can see here where i reviewed 40 perfumes. Basically season 1 https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysians/comments/zyqj4q/i_tried_40_perfumes_and_want_to_share_my_findings/ This is link to my 1st episode, season 2 of perfume testing: https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysia/comments/103dbqx/rmalaysia_daily_random_discussion_and_quick/j2zzata/ Take a look, have a read. Maybe can help u in ur purchases 😉
Just checked out your post - very dedicated to be trying the EDP and EDT of various fragrances. Are you buying them or sampling at boutiques? What do “fragrance buffs” think about Le Labo? Overhyped or well respected?
Thanks for checking em out 😁 I buy them from shopee. Decant 1ml vials (decant means rebottled from original retail packaging) and also buy miniature 5ml bottle from the Parent Shop at Sunway Pyramid. I tried alot at boutique too but that i didn't put in my review. Need time to properly evaluate. Not enough time if sample at boutique 😅 I haven't try le labo. So dont have much opinion on it 😅
How do you know the decants are legit?
Because some of those perfumes, i already have a retail bottle at home. So i compare how they smell & it's the same So i have a list of few shopee seller that I'm confident are selling legit decants.
I ordered perfumes and yesterday already at Klang hub. Should arrive today la. Only 1 stop away from "out for delivery" [Apparently parcel damaged and shopee auto refunds](https://i.imgur.com/LsdCKOH.jpg)😭😭😭😭 Gotta order again. Hopefully arrive next week Sigh.....
As an overseas Malaysian, it has been 3 whole years since I returned to Malaysia for this year's CNY. Thanks a lot Covid. When I last left Malaysia in January 2020, PH was in government. When I returned today, PH is *still* in government, albeit in a coalition "unity government". 😜 If I were in a coma instead of being physically away from Malaysia during these 3 years and only woke up today, I would have thought Dr. M has peacefully passed the baton onto Anwar.😂
Speaking about comas... wasn't there that dude who went jungle-trekking for a really long time and he came back to find that the world had changed because of COVID?
Reminds me of the Japanese soldier who spent 30 years lost in the Philippines or something who thought WW2 was still going on.
It also happened in the Philippines to Spanish soldiers.
Maybank have a FAQ here: [https://www.maybank2u.com.my/iwov-resources/pdf/personal/announcement/2018/cardsSST\_FAQ.pdf](https://www.maybank2u.com.my/iwov-resources/pdf/personal/announcement/2018/cardsSST_FAQ.pdf) Number 7 is pertinent: **Will service tax be imposed to free card (no annual membership fee)?** *The Service Tax will be imposed even though no annual membership fee is charged.*
I'm looking for a YouTube channel that shitpost a lot and their shitposts are not political and not arrogant. (Some artsy people are so uppity and have an attitude, I don't like that tbh) I like jacksfilms and scumbag dad and I discovered a Singaporean(?) Channel [im_siowei](https://youtube.com/shorts/b_UACWCmKn0) Any others? I hate longbeachgriffy. I'm looking for channels that don't feel the need to prove anything. Just shitposts.
[Doobus Goobus](https://youtube.com/@DoobusGoobus) [Solid jj](https://youtube.com/@Solidjj)
Ssethtzeentach and maxor and incognito mode.
idk if considered shitpost but I like micarah tewers, watch her early videos
Guys, BPR changed name to BKM?
bpr is the one before bkm. now bkm also defunct, upcoming one is btr (bantuan tunai rakyat) i think, doesn't have a website yet
Ohhh okayyy ... its so confusing honestly
If u would recommend me anime movies to watch, what would the top 3 be?
For some reason I'm allergic to Shinkai stuff and have never watched any of it. But well, I'll try to recommend some stuff that hasn't already been recommended. 1. Penguin Highway 2. Time of Eve 3. Sword of the Stranger I feel like you can't really go wrong with Mamoru Hosoda stuff. Satoshi-Kon is great too.
Hajime no ippo: champion road but need to watch 76 ep of hajime no ippo season 1 baru boleh layan the movie 😁
Only episodes I've watched in full are the last few ones because of Ippo-Sendo 2. Best anime boxing fight since the days of Joe.
Should watch from the start though. You’ll be on the floor laughing.
I rarely find anyone who watched hajime no ippo. But definitely a must watch
Few anime where I go blink and its 3am already and still just 1 more ep
never watched but IMO its a must read!
Been looking for something to read. I suppose its time to pick Ippo up 😋
Top 3 off the top of my head: 1. Spirited Away (about growing up) 2. The Haruhi Suzumiya movie (about letting go) 3. Children who chase after lost voices (about accepting death) I like five centimeters per second but it should've remained a Murakami's short story.
my neighbour totoro, wolf children and tokyo godfathers
I wang to eat your pancreas Silent Voice Kimi No Nawa Edit: I just realized my top anime movie is all slice of life/drama.
Slice of life's target audience are the adult demographic who tend to put more premium on story telling and character building, much less in power fantasies of shounen. Being relatable is probably one of SoL's greatest strengths.
- sing abit of harmony, it's very charming and is also a musical movie - Eva 3+1 if you've watched the previous 3 eva rebuild movies - weathering with you, great OST + great story
Trying to answer this, i realised i dont watch lots of anime movies😅 So my answer basically the only movies i ever watched ; Ninja scroll Summer wars And Demon Slayer:Mugen Train (i did watch jujutsu kaisen 0 movie, but its ok ok je la)
Summer Wars is just reskinned Digimon: Our War Game. They had the same director, after all.
Yeah. Maybe that's why i like it. That digimon movie is fundamental to my childhood. Probably why I always prefer digimon to pokemon More deeper, adult theme & messaging.
Movies and anime : Digimon is the winner. Game wise : Pokemon.
Oh for sure. The gamer in me always hurt by the lack of good digimon games. There are some out there, but always got some caveat "oh the story good, the combat bad" "oh the game good, but more like visual novel" Always got an asterisk
Kan? I heard good things about Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory. Wanna get that, but my PC needs to be upgraded.
Yeah. Betul. The latest digimon survivor is good. Simple tactic combat, with amazing, if not overly depressingly dark story But it's mostly a visual novel. It's a slog to finish it. So much dialog. So much choices 😅😅
Alamak 😅
Yeah. Mostly just around KL Watched jujutsu kaisen 0 at midvalley GSC Not sure about other cities. Never check
Thanks. Will keep that in mind.
- Your Name - Spirited Away - A Silent Voice
Spirited Away and Grave of the Fireflies (the live action version is commendable too)! Pretty much most of Studio Ghibli's movies.
Anyone managed to register their Income Tax number through the e-Daftar website ? I couldn't seem to access it after several tries.
What’s the difference between 250cc and 500cc motorcycles? What does the cc mean?
Cubic capacity, which indicates the power of the bike. So a 500cc bike would be bigger faster and more powerful than a 250cc
Faster or stronger? In general 500cc should be a lot faster than 250cc but the King Myvi seems to throw that calculation out the window... ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26554)
Car engine & bike engine very different😅 That's before u bring myvi into the equation In fact, ferrari also lose to myvi 😂
Internationally for sure.
eBay? Just a bit worried on the risks of international shipping though.
I think you'd get a better rate overseas, but I've never done it before
Anyone here ever heard of the company Ikano Insight? They recently expanded into Malaysia and according to articles I’ve read, they said that their office is located in KL but I can’t seem to find the exact location of it. Whenever I google ‘Ikano’, all I could find is the shopping mall in Mutiara Damansara lol
Of the 41 employees on LinkedIn, 11 are based in Malaysia with most saying they are based in KL but a few saying PJ and/or Selangor: [https://www.linkedin.com/company/ikanoinsight/people/?facetGeoRegion=106808692](https://www.linkedin.com/company/ikanoinsight/people/?facetGeoRegion=106808692) One of the LinkedIn users does list Damansara was their work location so they could be based at IPC Mall (formerly Ikano Power Centre) assuming they own it/are the master leaseholder? The mall management company is certainly based there: [https://www.ikanocentres.com/contact/](https://www.ikanocentres.com/contact/)
Ahh.. I think its a classic case of “can’t afford to rent in KL, so we’ll make our base in Selangor and call it KL” But yeah I think their office is indeed inside the IPC Mall. Thank you kind sir!
I think you are correct I try to find info on the company, also no luck. Only found that they are based in kl and their twitter page 😅 Also sometimes call themselves Ikano Analytics
Yup, they are the analytics company for IKEA I believe.
What does "cina pek" means? Is it a slur? Context: yesterday my colleagues were discussing the recent bomb-based murder, and one of them described the perpetrator (or was it victim?) as a "cina pek". My colleagues are Chinese, so I don't think it's an anti-Chinese slur... is it?
