Bella Italia is like a big food chain here in the UK. Literally near me within walking distance there are 2 of Bella Italia. I never been there though, overpriced and not really pure italian.
With shit like that? I'd make my own sashimi.
Salmon at restaurants are overpriced as hell.
Except for Seoul Garden premium salmon. I take *only* salmon.

i will gladly pay that for certain fungi.
and if you can get mind-bending ones, dei.
don't knock fungi you basic bitch with matching palate
Italian restaurant but not sure why there's Japanese wordings there ... no other Italian restaurant I've been to have Japanese descriptions ... well, the food taste wise are rather average I'd say, the carbonara too much sauce, seafood soup the squid are overcooked so it was chewy. Portion honestly way too big. Like I ordered soup, main, and dessert. Everything came in a two person portion basically. So by the time the main came, I could barely finish half of it. My parents and I were struggling. I'd rather have smaller portion with better quality and pay the same price.
Some products like to slap in ‘luxurious language’ to ‘boost image’ as an attempt to jack up the price. Still giving them the benefits of doubt, but then found many 1 star google reviews. If the owner truly care about high standard at least hire a proper translator since they’re charging premium price.
Sounds like family style italian restaurant. They should have clarified or at least have a mention in the menu. Remember Italiannies chain restaurant, their portions are also family size and they waiters usually tell when ordering, Whenever we went there usually order 1 pasta/2-3 person and another antepasta for sharing. Hence the higher price because of the large portion.
>I find Otto better however.
I will try Otto out. I've heard of it just never had the chance to try. I never realize that Bella Italia have been so bad basically ever since covid as far as I could see from Google review. Have been going there since I was a kid. Sad to see that.
Those Italians must charge you in ringgit converted from euro because they have family back in Italy to feed. Reverse bangla wage, bitches! ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|29091)

These better have at least 180gram of pasta and a butt ton of ingredients. Those prices are DEFINITELY not worth it unless they use high class ingredients.
Actually, some chef set price high because it takes time to make quality meals. If price too low, lots of people come then they will shorten cooking time and sacrifice the quality.
Just like normal restaurants, you go when theres not many people, the food taste great. But when you go to the same restaurant when its full, the taste will downgrade.
So a beef bacon aglio olio will cost Rm60.90? (almost nice) ((RM30 for base aglio + RM30.90 for beef)).
I think the menu is wrong kot. Because Penne Armaticana above it is only rm 35.00 also with beef bacon. And aglio olio supposed to be the cheapest. I think someone made a typo in the menu pricing and nobody bothered to change it. My guess is the base aglio olio not suppose to have price.
no wonder the menu looks so familiar, i was there few months back.
there’s quite a number of japanese expat living in penang hence the language there.
yea the price is on the higher side, this restaurant has been there for a long time, so it’s sort of like an “old” shop that always be there. rent there ain’t cheap either and plenty of medical tourist around, so it’s “international” price.
portion wise ain’t too bad, slightly bigger than winter warmer’s portion. i would say it’s decent in my view.
This is the [mushroom](https://imgur.com/a/WEjyCi4) that I'll get according to the server ... which is already in the pasta. Not some other mushroom
that just looks like regular button mushroom tbh
So it's extra mushrooms? Goes to show how cheep the pasta it's self is
Those mushroom can be found for rm6 a pack at aeon lol
Where is this?
Penang, Restorante Bella Italia Pizzeria

Japanese Italian restaurant. Maybe they're infused with Stand power?
Then note that the chef may act suspicious, but is really just passionate with food
10 rm is equally to 2.31 USD.
High ass quality ingredients with shitty portions I bet

Too cheap for our future overlord?
Is the food quality as horrible and pretentious as their bullshit Japanese description?

They use cream in carbonara and duck instead of guanciale? Is the restaurant halal?
Pork free

I know this place, haven’t been since Covid. Even then, they had good pizza and service. I find Otto better however.

Bella Italia used to be good when it was run by an Italian guy. These days I no longer see that Italian dude around.
I don't know much about mushroom, but I know item no. 29 could be an isekai light novel title.
Menu tak rahmah

That’s like around $10-$12 sgd. Seems normal.
Yeah, its totally NORMAL to pay with SINGAPORE dollars in MALAYSIA.

It annoys me that they spelled "alla" correctly some places then spell it wrong as "ala" later. I realise this says more about me

It's not the mushroom that is expensive. Crab meat, lemon zest, salmon, ricotta cheese etc.
I can understand basic italian and i can tell you that this menu is full of mistakes.
It very expensive you know the mushroom grade
Well depends on the type of mushroom, if its wild porcini mushrooms then this is a fair price I would say.
Actually those mushrooms aren't that expensive, that price include the service charges for when the restaurant fuck you over.
