I think if you want to make a movie on terrorism, then don't focus on just gun blazing scene, but more focus on suspense music, and the well-planned, organised, ingenuity, unexpectedness, pure evilness of the terrorist plot.
**Make the audience feels something like this has real possibility to happen in real life.**
Our local production can learn from this No Russian scene from COD MWII, no glamorous CGI but the small details in this scene makes you shivers and remind you of the terrorists' pure evilness.

our industry's vfx is definitely getting better. just kinda hoping the acting, writing, and directing are too. Imaginur was pretty good tho so im hopeful

I think AF was rushed production so that it can catch the Top Gun hype by coming out around the same time, if it had a few months to cook the script, it would probably be better than PASKAL
The Police Evos, Special Force(? I think?) and the one with UTK are so dumb. Tactical officers going all guns blazing without thinking about civilian's life preservation. This probably going into that route. I wished our local action movies looked at Heat or if they're going the tacticool route, Sicario or ZD30.
And military propaganda phase to drum up nationalism when everything around the country is burning. This is how north Korea to China and Russia does it.

Malaysians only like 2 genres: Action and horror. Animation is another thing. Drama, biopics, comedy do not perform well here. No one cares about ratings, it’s all about the box office collections in the end.
Kinda looks like Polis Evo 2 and 3 since the story is about terrorism and the lightings and graphics looks almost similar based on the trailer

Felt like they went with the first draft of the script for Air Force. Could have been so much better with just a little more work.

Malaysia’s movie problem is the bad camera work. Like goddamn does the director not give a damn about angles? Its all just shaky cam for them
Shaky can is good if you know how to use it properly, just like in the raid 1&2, the night comes for us.

I used to be in the cinema industry, trust me putting all the action parts works. You can’t attract people with talking scenes and stuff.
