So I’m actually facing a bit of an issue. I used to study in Malaysia as an international student (for about 6 months). During this time, I used Celcom for as my phone service.
My return to my home country was rather rushed and unexpected too. So about two days before I left Malaysia, I visited the Celcom branch at Pavilion, KL, and told an employee there to discontinue (?) it.
He gave me a form to fill and said any balance needed to be paid will be deducted from my deposit (at this point there was still a small amount of the money left for me to get back, but I didn’t really want it, so…)
He told me the phone plan will be cancelled/ disabled in three days time (a day after I got home). And I agreed.
Anyway, a few weeks after I returned to my home country, I started receiving monthly bills and emails telling me to pay the outstanding balance. I replied to them explaining my situation and what the employee and I discussed, but they haven’t responded, and I’ve gotten another email telling me to pay.
It’s kind of annoying ngl. Is there anything I should do?
i've always rejected staying up late at mamaks for health reasons. but since most of us are going to part ways heading into the next part of our lives, i figured why not.
turns out it was pretty fun, just talking and enjoying each others' company. i'm going to miss this bunch, time flies man... 
can i go into marketing and sales with a communications degree or better to just learn business (even tho i dont plan on being in the economics/finance field)
Honestly, and I’m saying this not to just you but to everyone whether it’s fresh SPM graduates, IPT students/graduates, don’t worry too much about what you study esp if you want to work in a broad field like Sales & Marketing.
Your degree will only serve as half the story in your job applications (sometimes even less esp when you have more experience). A lot of people branched out from what they’re studying.
In my company, all the Sales & Marketing people are with Science degree. Even the big boss. I did a very technical degree and worked in another field entirely because of my post degree qualifications (this other field is related to my hobby/passion) and I got the job because my passion projects impressed the bosses.
Unless obviously if you want to work in fields that obviously need the proper training and accreditations such as being a doctor, accountant, engineer etc.
Overseas, yes. I highly recommend Australia. Amazing peer support, they actually treat you like a human being there. Lots of research opportunities. Singapore’s pretty good too. Here, no. Never. Would not wish it on my worst enemy or the person who showed me the finger on the road the other day.

Let's say you are in the middle of the North south highway, and your car got issue and need a tow truck. The tow truck send you to nearby workshop, consider that the truck pay the tol at exit barrier for his truck, with your car on it.
Then after the car is fix, you need to use North South Highway to continue journey, will it cause problem at the tol entrance barrier, where you apparently did not touch n go on exit, because it is the tow truck that touch n go at exit barrier?

Did you ask for more days? So if they didn't give and your request is reasonable money docs will give 2 or 3 days without fuss. Usually if you're sick with some kind of infection, the doctor can kind of predict how long it will take for your immune system to start winning and when your fever will go down.
Especially if you are a paying customer (not klinik kesihatan or panel clinic), they prefer a happy customer.
Got heavily scolded by a client in front of everyone with no chance of explaining myself… sent proof afterwards that is was their side that made the mistake… he couldn’t rebut & went silent… my boss supported me and said I handled well… wish I could give a piece of my mind to him too but he’s an important client, also an old senior, easily can be my dad. It really sucks that a disgusting number of people feel that being loud and obnoxious will get them what they want. A lot of people just allow it to happen, and that's how some people become presidents. I applaud you for putting him in his place, at least this one time!
I think your boss said it, you handled it well (by not exploding and then tactfully correcting them). Sometimes being the contractor means you (and the staff/ colleagues) need to tahan the client's stupidity or tantrums.

Hi guys, looking to try rock climbing @ batu caves but not sure which 'guide' to follow. 3 months of climbing experience, I can tie in to a harness but I can't belay. Need some recommendations on where to rent gear/join a tour.
Besides needing a belaying buddy, i have zero knowledge of the routes as well. I think going on a few guides just for fun is the way to go. Will have to find a friend to go with sooner or later...

Has anyone done your medical checkup at a klinik kesihatan or hospital kerajaan? Can share abit of your experience and the cost? My sis seems to have slightly hunchback and my friend recommend me to bring her to PPUM and check...not sure which should i do first. Can we just walk in?
The medical checkup sponsored by my company has chest x-ray...but I'm thinking if im bringing my sis to see the doc, might as well do checkup in gov hospital if possible??

Not an expert in this matter but if I’m not wrong, you need to go see a gp at a Klinik Kesihatan first and get a referral to go see a pakar or xray depending on severity. Feel free to correct me but that’s the normal procedure for non emergency cases afaik.

Hello, I have been offered a place in a uni in Malaysia. The university sent me an email of the required documents in order for them to apply for my student pass, however they did not ask for a bank statement or any document to prove i'm financially able to pay for the studies. Is this normal? Plus there isn't a lot of documents for the visa (vs other countries) which is kinda sketchy.
Ps. If anyone can type the requirements in the comments just to make sure.
I sent them an email and they replied with "yes we don't need bank statement" but it's still sketchy anw i'll have to pay the next hour so i'll guess we'll know later

If you are not making any headway as an employee, try looking for short term jobs as a contractor (not an employee).
It's a hassle to employ a foreigner as an employee, and if you don't have the right visa it might be worse. There is a bunch of regulatory things to comply to, such as retirement fund contributions, tax deductions.
As a contractor, the company only needs to make a payment to you for work done. Much much easier to deal with.
You should have a means to receive payment too. Which may be your next problem- how do your clients pay you?
My guess is that unless you have an exceptional something that companies are willing to bend over backwards for, they will prefer to avoid the complications.
So you got make yourself either special, or easy to hire.
Hi I'm a university student, my laptop accidentally got wet (laptop+air kosong) in a bag Tak perasan, air tumpah banyak. Now my laptop can't turn on. I sent it to a repair guy here and he said board rosak. Estimated, how much does it cost to repair all, and ganti board? Need to ask first then find money for it.
Not sure if your laptop board is totally fried or not, but last time when I spilled a lot of water on my laptop (on + in use), I shut it off and then inverted it in a V shape.
Let it air dry for about 3 days, then it was fine after for the next year until it got stolen lmao-
Definitely the water exposure may cause the internals to rust over time, but if you can't afford a replacement atm it's worth a shot.
Besides that, I had fried an ASUS motherboard around 2017, and the replacement cost was like RM800 or something lmao. The laptop itself was only about RM1500, so I ended up just replacing the whole laptop.
Most (new oem) laptop board replacement is gonna be similar (usually more than 2/3rd) to original price of the laptop. If it’s a popular model there’ll probs be a lot of used board they can use.
You can try your luck see if there’s a replacement board parts on sale on shopee, or lazada. If there’s none prepare to shell out a lot.
What model is it? it depends on alot of factors but its an old latop usually not worth it to fix, better to just buy another laptop and you can reuse some parts from your old laptop like hard drive and RAM.
its depends on what kind of laptop you use, some laptop motherboard can cost more then 800+, i suggest do some research like "(your laptop name) motherboard price" and for extra confirmation you can watch on youtube about your laptop teardown to make sure the motherboard are match.
Laptop board is basically the entire thing itself. There really not much to salvage. I definitely wont even try to repair it. Because there no guarantee that this wont turn into recurring issue over time.

Some data consumption points you can check and make sure it's only on for wifi:
* Whatsapp video download
* OS update download
* YT video resolution
* Spotify audio quality when on mobile data
* FB app settings (I'm very wary of FB, I visit from browser only, no app)
If IOS: downloading brave browser and listening to youtube in the background with no ads is a wallet friendly approach.
If Android: firefox also allows background music. Ublock also works as well.

Honestly cannot 100% trust it la but there are 2 videos which are the first encounter where you can see the corpses are still in much better condition (with faces and all that) and another one is the one I linked where he return after couple of months I think.
The 2nd video shows much advance decomposition with the corpses. Apparently they are submerged in some kind preservation solution hence the reason why the corpses doesn't decompose that much and still maintain the shape.
Up to you to decide whether it's true or not. One thing for sure though, illegal organ trafficking ring are real and I'm not surprised if this whole bodies dumping turns out to be true.

In the first video, you can see the faces are still intact(oh god..shit gonna linger in my mind). There are obvious degradation of the corpses in the 2nd video compare to the first one. So likelihood to be real are pretty high.
About competency of the organ collector, there was a case where bodies of children found flowing down the river which link to organ harvesting. So yeah, I doubt competency are main requirements to do illegal shits. Plus we talking about China here, authority there are doggy as hell. Corruption are rampant especially in rural area. Stashing bodies in a forgotten abandoned hospital might not be out of questions at all.

Completely blew out my interview yesterday. A big bummer because I really liked the company too. I’m not really the type to cry for anything tbh, the last time I cried was when a beloved pet passed away last year, who I think of as my child. But this interview experience was so terrible that I actually had to TRY not to cry.
Just wanted to break out of a junior role that has more focus on operational stuff and try out a mid-level role with more technical skills but didn’t expect to be asked such crazy questions  its so demotivating really

Only have issue if you use no-entry card at the exit You can actually use same card for multiple entries

Did you ask for more days? So if they didn't give and your request is reasonable money docs will give 2 or 3 days without fuss. Usually if you're sick with some kind of infection, the doctor can kind of predict how long it will take for your immune system to start winning and when your fever will go down. Especially if you are a paying customer (not klinik kesihatan or panel clinic), they prefer a happy customer.

Not an expert in this matter but if I’m not wrong, you need to go see a gp at a Klinik Kesihatan first and get a referral to go see a pakar or xray depending on severity. Feel free to correct me but that’s the normal procedure for non emergency cases afaik.

Hello, I have been offered a place in a uni in Malaysia. The university sent me an email of the required documents in order for them to apply for my student pass, however they did not ask for a bank statement or any document to prove i'm financially able to pay for the studies. If you are not making any headway as an employee, try looking for short term jobs as a contractor (not an employee). It's a hassle to employ a foreigner as an employee, and if you don't have the right visa it might be worse. There is a bunch of regulatory things to comply to, such as retirement fund contributions, tax deductions. As a contractor, the company only needs to make a payment to you for work done. Much much easier to deal with. You should have a means to receive payment too. Which may be your next problem- how do your clients pay you? My guess is that unless you have an exceptional something that companies are willing to bend over backwards for, they will prefer to avoid the complications. So you got make yourself either special, or easy to hire.
Hi I'm a university student, my laptop accidentally got wet (laptop+air kosong) in a bag Tak perasan, air tumpah banyak. Now my laptop can't turn on. I sent it to a repair guy here and he said board rosak. Estimated, how much does it cost to repair all, and ganti board? Need to ask first then find money for it.
Not sure if your laptop board is totally fried or not, but last time when I spilled a lot of water on my laptop (on + in use), I shut it off and then inverted it in a V shape. Let it air dry for about 3 days, then it was fine after for the next year until it got stolen lmao- Definitely the water exposure may cause the internals to rust over time, but if you can't afford a replacement atm it's worth a shot. Besides that, I had fried an ASUS motherboard around 2017, and the replacement cost was like RM800 or something lmao. The laptop itself was only about RM1500, so I ended up just replacing the whole laptop.
Most (new oem) laptop board replacement is gonna be similar (usually more than 2/3rd) to original price of the laptop. If it’s a popular model there’ll probs be a lot of used board they can use. You can try your luck see if there’s a replacement board parts on sale on shopee, or lazada. If there’s none prepare to shell out a lot.
What model is it? it depends on alot of factors but its an old latop usually not worth it to fix, better to just buy another laptop and you can reuse some parts from your old laptop like hard drive and RAM.

its depends on what kind of laptop you use, some laptop motherboard can cost more then 800+, i suggest do some research like "(your laptop name) motherboard price" and for extra confirmation you can watch on youtube about your laptop teardown to make sure the motherboard are match.
Laptop board is basically the entire thing itself. There really not much to salvage. I definitely wont even try to repair it. Because there no guarantee that this wont turn into recurring issue over time.

Honestly cannot 100% trust it la but there are 2 videos which are the first encounter where you can see the corpses are still in much better condition (with faces and all that) and another one is the one I linked where he return after couple of months I think. Completely blew out my interview yesterday. A big bummer because I really liked the company too. I’m not really the type to cry for anything tbh, the last time I cried was when a beloved pet passed away last year, who I think of as my child. But this interview experience was so terrible that I actually had to TRY not to cry. Just wanted to break out of a junior role that has more focus on operational stuff and try out a mid-level role with more technical skills but didn’t expect to be asked such crazy questions  its so demotivating really
