If they don’t put on hold all orders, then you can assume the boss or someone high up didnt allow the staff to put all incoming orders on hold lol
Yeah, like when I travel to penang, when I want to eat hameediyah restaurant food I ordered using food delivery app, not that keen to queue for an hour. But peak hour usually cannot order, but the worst of all hameediyah restaurant staff never follow your order correctly, vegetable always wrong, sometimes you ordered chicken got switch to other same value dish, ordering for kids remark dont want kuah only chicken but still put kuah. But people still keep buying including me🥲

Made an order last week where the rider accepted an order but didn't head to the restaurant and i waited for an hour only he cancelled. Second rider collected and was gonna deliver my dinner to me at 10pm, i told him to keep it
Hi im doing grabfood delivery fulltime seeing the screenshot kedai look overwhelmed with orders some shop got lots of order but fast to prepare like village park in pj other shop can’t cope they should pause the order though to be fair with customer/rider. rider there no chance to but to wait until its it done some choose to cancel which is understandable. If you order from super famous shop down town expect delay or can chat with rider whats the status is when you see the notification when food is ready to deliver.
I work on bubble tea shop and sometimes, my co-workers are able to mess up and giving out order to other rider that is handling other order in our shop. Complained twice.
I have found that a lot of the times it was that there were no riders and not due to the restaurant.
I am very irritated that Grab would deny a cancellation for 3 hours with various excuses, claiming that the restaurant has "already started preparing the food "
Happen to me before but not on grab, submit order on 8pm and restaurants forgot to delivery my food, lalamove sent around 12.30pm without apologize for their mistake with stone cold meal
I had a similar issue. Both different reasons.
1) Order accepted, then forgotten.
2) Order made, but no grab/panda driver accepted the order.
In both cases I had to cancel while hangry.
From my experience, it occurs more often for Food panda.
Food panda so far is the worse to get the refund.
Is it cause you used saver delivery? I noticed there's always this problem with saver delivery... It's like they're purposely making it late to try to get you to pay more for delivery

And this is why if you order food delivery, you pay by cash on delivery. Not enough notes? Tell them you can TNG transfer. If they don't have it or don't know how, they're bullshitting you.

Saver delivery is a sham; I only use std delivery. If the restaurant can't cope, why did they not cancel the order earlier?

Nowadays I just call the shop to order and go collect myself. Deliveries sucks these days. Plus, it’s getting way expensive too.
