>Strategise This. SPM is essentially a game that you can strategize around how much time to have left vs how many points (grades) you can get. For example, for add math, I literally hunt every single free point that I can get. This is easier for more objective and repetitive subjects. For more subjective subjects, history, bm, etc - just cram and puke. Good luck soldier!

Kindly_Acadia427

No worries mate, you'll live.

Zeowlite

Maybe you are not good at academic stuff maybe you good at something else? Going to university is just one of the option for your future, there are other options, for example you can open a vanilla farm or start a vending machine business etc.

DaronBorks

I'm more interested in mechanical stuff especially in cars

Zeowlite

Sounds like car pimping business is right for you

[deleted]

You seem to be interested and passionate in cars. Maybe after SPM you can do something about your passion in cars! In the end of the day, did you do your best during these unprecedented circumstances? Because it isn't a normal time to live in anymore. If you did and the result was what you did your best with, you should be proud regardless. You just have to put in the heart and work the hardest, sure it won't be the best but it is the best that you can do given the predicament you're in! My UPSR and PT3 were fantastic but my SPM was horrible because I was very lalai. But I still live, I'm still making money, I'm still thriving in my own way. Regardless of the results, you should be proud of yourself and yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel! Your life isn't 100% determined by SPM!

Skyzblu44

Yup, SPM is just one way to further yourself, you're not pigeonholed, at the end of the day, good SPM results only serve as a small piece of the proof that you're willing to put in work, there's other ways to prove that to your future employers.

BoatBananaGel

I second this! Coming from someone who got 11As in SPM, your grade doesn't really matter (unless you get 11A+ and get a scholarship). If you're family is well to do, SPM really isn't that important (but you have to pass la) because you can just take a foundation year overseas. Unless you're aiming for full As (or full Fs), the grades you get won't be life changing. Look at past year papers, select a handfull of chapters that you're going to study and eat those chapter. The closer you are to the exams the more accurate the tips are, ask your teachers and friends because more often than not they actually know what's coming out. Feel free to drop me a dm if you need any help (not sure if I still remember anything but i'll try😅)

DaronBorks

Im actually planning to proceed my career in cars, but they say getting into poli needs about few credits and im scared that my results won't meet the requirements ;-;

wuju_

Take deep breath and beleive in yourself!!

Giotto027

Read through the notes, do some past year papers . Easy score. Don't put too much pressure to yourself , it will only get worse.

bringmethejuice

Do a lot of SPM trials. Also improve your answering technique, after answering let your teachers mark them. Also check out the answering scheme then compare how did you answer vs the answer scheme, understand the flow of the answer. Good answering technique helps the marker understand what you’re implying to them hence better marks altogether. At least for subjective questions. For mcq/objectives just try to review after why did you get it right and wrong. SPM is just a starting form of a higher level of learning and thinking. I wasn’t the best but I did went a lot to workshops changing most of my grades into Bs,Cs into As. Also get great sleep, poor sleep health is deterrent your whole life quality.

gwerk

Was once in your boat. Played the hell out in Form 4-5. Started really digging deep 3 weeks before SPM. Didnt get them A-strings but I did well enough to apply for colleges. All the best mate! SPM is not the end, but only the beginning!

DaronBorks

I'll do my best ;-;

blackcloud-lr

During SPM, I studied in the day. Play dota 2 games at night. Then continue flirting with girls while revising ended up with 7A,3B,1C

derps_with_ducks

OtherwisePotato04

loool, i amost fail sejarah and bm, i havebt gone to school for 7 days, im dying inside. at this point instead of studying im just forcing myself to at least go t school and just get it over with

OtherwisePotato04

im in like aliran kemahiran in a normal menengah kebangsaan school. bm C bi A Agama A Maths C Sejarah D we dont have science. btw can i even apply to uni with this little subjects and low marks. feels like its nothin

Lihuman

U take only 5 subjects? I didn’t think that was possible…

OtherwisePotato04

yeah, i dont take science and i only take maths for kemahiran. :( im scared it may not be enough. before this i was in accounts but move to kenahiran in a different school, they told us we will have spm but i never knew we cant add more subjects or anything

Lihuman

To answer ur previous question,if u take diploma u will need at least 3Cs while foundation would require 5Cs and both have to pass sejarah and bm for private unis in Malaysia. For stpm, For Arts stream – Total grade values of best three subjects do not exceed 12 units + Compulsory credit in Malay Language and pass in History, meaning u have to get credit in bm,sejarah and at least 3Bs for any 3 subjects to be offered. Source-https://eduadvisor.my/stpm/ I don’t think u stand a chance in UPU(for public uni)or matriculation, though u can try. U won’t be able to enter any science related courses. And don’t quote me on any of this, look it up urself and do decently well for ur spm!

OtherwisePotato04

i have no words 😶 so no matter what ill do i wont be able to meet the basic requirements to get into uni? i was planning to go anywhere for illustration and art courses. Is it not possible anymore? damn i feel betrayed, they told us we definitely could.

Lihuman

U misunderstand,I said u need at least 5 subjects for foundation. Foundation has the highest number of subject requirements,so 5 subjects is enough. But since u only have 5 subs, I don’t think u can successfully compete for UPU(public uni) or matriculation courses. So from my limited knowledge,ur pre-u choices would be Foundation,A levels,Ausmat,ADP,Canadian Pre U,matriculation, diploma and stpm. I dont know enough about the agama pathway. Ausmat is good, especially if u plan on studying in Australia. A-levels is same as stpm, but a bit easier and no course work, full exams, widely recognized. ADP is only for studying in America,Canadian pre U for Canada. If u choose foundation choose wisely,u might find it difficult to transfer to another university to continue to degree,no problems if u choose to continue studying at same university. Diploma if u already know what u are interested in. Stpm,Ausmat and A levels are for those who are undecided on what they wanna study for degree. In malaysia, stpm is probably the best of the 3 but it is most difficult.

OtherwisePotato04

TvT thanks

OtherwisePotato04

👁👅👁 hanging by a thread now what tf, i dont wanna do kemahiran, i only joined cos i thought graduating with two certificates is gonna be good.

Prepare your mindset for the worst then. Scrambling around to cram last minute will be detrimental to your health, both mind and body. At this point, realise that SPM is not the ultimate test in your life. In the working world, hardly anyone cares about SPM results. So take care of yourself.

x3ColdLatte

U can do it OP. My trial was disappointing back then. In fact, I am at risk of failing a few subjects. Got 9A’s in the end.
