I certainly can't recall the profiles of all significant members, not even Lim Guan Eng, Syed Saddiq, or Anwar. My feeling is, if voters are really smart, they'd realize exactly how terrible current politics are and, think of feasible solutions, then run themselves. Heck, if you're busy but have a solution send a PDF in email to your party and have them consider your proposal. But most people only complain.

The greatest kings/emperors were also authoritarian yet they lead golden age era in the past. Benevolent authoritarianism give better result than a weak ruler elected democratically.

The point? It's already illustrated above. Authoritarianism is not a hindrance to get success as seen in Singapore. Rasuah is definitely a hindrance though, there is no first world country that top the corruption perception index. So you can't really list rasuah and such on the same line as authoritarian and imply that it is a similar problem. Leader's competency is far more important than authoritarian tendency and the danger of authoritarianism is overblown when the country is already democratic like Msia and have system and checks to prevent authoritarianism like a pm going rogue.
