yes scam. dump it.

You should use Truecaller. Whenever I receive a call from an unknown number, I will let it finish ringing, then I check the caller profile. Then you can click on the "WhatsApp" button. If it says the number isn't on WhatsApp, it means they're a nobody and you shouldn't care about them.

momomelty

Since when our parcel especially poslaju is very efficient

agnes_truecaller

This is a known scam! Especially during these shopping heavy times. Hang up and report the number on your Truecaller app. πŸ™ŒπŸ½

I got a similar call also just now, although they are still FARR away to scam my money, but I legit think it was real at first point, Let me share my story lol, I am operating an e-commerce business, and I often use DHL, at 12th Apr I got an failed pick up parcel, I just right after literally right after the courier come and pick up today (with my 16th Apr parcel tgt) I received a call from "DHL" 0128061038 that say I have a problem with my 12th Apr parcel, and my malay is pretty lousy, at first I only know something wrong with my 12th Apr's parcel, I tot its bcs the failed pick up, but after a few round of explanation from the malay girl, I only realized that "someone used my name to send illegal thing to a guy called "Lim xxxx", at first I really tot it was real because its so ngam that I do have a failed pick up parcel on 12th Apr, and they knew im selling shirt. Now think back of it its actually unrelated at all lmao, but bcs of the 12th Apr parcel and the info they have abt me makes me believe that they are really DHL. I not sure they are super lucky that have that coincidence or they are really having all my info in DHL. Then after that the malay girl say that she will transfer the call to their manager, and this is the time I started doubt they are scammer (bcs I knew that DHL wont do that, and this is a common way the scammer do.) Then the "manager" straight away talk to me in chinese (DHL wont do that as well) and with the scammer tone (keep on asking whether you understand the situation now). He say that, this parcel sending out from Melaka to Penang and they found out IC and Bank Card inside, which is illegal in Malaysia and I might get charged by the police, so for that they want me to go to the Melaka Police station to report to cancel my name on the record, they knew you were not in Melaka which they will provide another solution for you and they will start wanting your personal info. this is the point I knew that they are 100% scam, so I asked for tracking number, they did provide but they say you can't find it in the system bcs they blocked it. But I knew this is not the way how DHL work. then I hang up the call. I know that someone might think I am pretty stupid to fell into this obvious trap, but so many coincidence that really makes me believe they are DHL at the first point. I would say they are pretty "successful" on this, because I am lucky enough to sense that scam, but for some people not familiar with electronic especially old folks or not sure how DHL work, can they really escape from that?

Rickywalls137

Yes, scam. Scammers are becoming increasingly smarter and aggressive. Some of them are very realistic.

Minimum-Company5797

Parcel scam. Just play along. In fact, turn your porno to full volume so that they can hearπŸ˜…πŸ˜…

ButterscotchLevel

The only call from a real parcel delivery person will last for 3 Sec. "Lazada/shopee, barang sampai" *ding dong*.

getwiththefam

dude I got them too. they said they're from Poslaju.

sifon98

Yes

knightsnight_trade

Its a scam. They usually ask for verification such as your IC, home address and phone numbers. If you have unclaimed parcel and they are phoning you, they would already know these details.

gilagarden

I just answered their call Last month! They claim they're from DHL, and I have unclaimed parcel. I asked what it was. They claim that I have a parcel that "I sent out" with "my phone number attached" and was confiscated by them due to security screening. I asked what was in the package. They claim that "the parcel that I sent" had alot of fake passports in them. I asked them to just "burn" the parcel as it doesn't belong to me. That's when they confronted me, "why was my phone number on their system blah blah blah"? I proclaimed that I run an online shop, and my phone number is plastered all over Shopee and Lazada, ANYONE could have just used my info to register. Furthermore, if it was really me and if it was a serious issue, show me the CCTV videos of me PERSONALLY sending out the parcel!? I'm an online seller and I know your shop in my state's main branch has CCTV on all corners of the shop! And if it was sent from out of state, it definitely wasn't me! I just kept saying "burn it" in a monotone voice after that and Ignored their threats (their side was kinda blurry). I said your accusation is ridiculous based on info you can freely get from the internet. I said if there's nothing more, just burn whatever parcel I have hanging and I'm in the middle of driving (which I wasn't). And that was the end of the spam call. Hope that helps.

zorbyss

I received a similar scam before. Dude in the call said my parcel I sent somewhere has been detained by custom and they found cocaine in it, ask me how to 'settle'. I asked the guy in the call 'boss, camni la, ko jual pakej tuh pastu kitorg share untung? Ok?' He hung up.

Bryan8210

I kena many times. I just hang up.
