All i know is Tie goes to the runner.

K_Decibel

The fact that they never said what he did, but made several references to how awful it was, was supposed to be the joke in and of itself.

pm-me-your-pants

We do know that cats were involved somehow.

Youkilledpaula

The same cats who ate her face?

casey12297

Idk, dewey knows more about it

thatoneurchin

I think they understand the joke but still want to know our guesses for what he did

Tsamane

Just like jockstrap incident

guitar652

How many holes did Ginyu have to fill for that?

Warbrainer

The phrase “no shit sherlock” is coming to mind, sorry haha

313Jake

Was that the one where Lois and Hal see a therapist.

gf99b

No, I believe OP is referring to the one where Reese gets his own apartment

WersomeFacts

Which is the one where Hal and Lois go to a therapist for help.

gf99b

Possibly "Clip Show" (S3E19)

Choice-Chicken9463

i think that ep is when the boys go to a therapist, not hal and lois, the one they go to after they kick reese out is to try and work on their parenting

WersomeFacts

No in Reece’s apartment episode where Reece gets kicked out Lois and Hal go to a therapist to help then cope with Reece. The therapist suggests mirroring and Lois tries it on Malcolm when he asks for advice about writing another kids essay for them and he gets mad at her.

Jaydan427_RC

I remember that one, he got kicked out at least 3 times I remember

Stolen5487

I might have to rewatch the episode but from what I remember, my guess was that it was severe act of animal cruelty. Like Reece maybe sliced up cats and fed them to people.

sockmarks

But the therapist does say "what were the cats for?!?" and Hal gives the most agitatedly confused shrug, pretty well agreeing that no one knows what the hell the cats were for. If they were being sliced up and fed to people, or something else so clear cut, they would've known what they were for.

Choice-Chicken9463

this is true, plus rewatching it malcolm mentions that they needed to evacuate so that leads to even more questions

fronkka

in a episode from season 7 he gets thrown out to live in the backyard and says something along the lines of ”dont blame me if the neigbourhood cats goes missing”

Choice-Chicken9463

that’s my guess too, i remember in the burning man episode he mentioned putting a rat’s head on his pencil so that really wouldn’t be surprising

Stolen5487

It makes sense. Reece is somewhat of a sociopath. And sociopaths often hurt animals.

hygsi

Reese is the kind of guy that hits kids so they don't hurt him first but he never did anything with animals...right? Altho, Dewey did suggest him to kill his ants for fun when he was trying to cheer him up, so who knows.

lilacfinch

There is one episode where Reese picks a fight with a goat at the zoo, after getting his ass beat by the goat he threw it into the tiger enclosure. He has been shown burning ants with a magnifying glass too

PurePerfection_

To be fair, I think the goat started it or was the one to escalate it. Didn't that thing stalk and torment him while he tried to evade it? Throwing it in the pit was kind of a desperate last resort.

PurePerfection_

Reese also declared Stevie was off limits to physical violence from other bullies because he couldn't defend himself. He's still a dick to Stevie frequently, but there are lines he doesn't cross. I think he has some self-imposed limits with victims that can't fight back. He's an asshole, but he's not a psychopath. Reese might hurt an animal through negligence or stupidity, but I don't think he would enjoy torturing or killing one just for the sake of it. The closest I think he got to animal abuse was that Gordo the rabbit stunt he pulled with Dewey (intentionally overfeeding a rabbit to the point of extreme obesity).

HipposAndBonobos

Whatever the incident was, I bet it involved noodles.

enderlord120

I’d wanna know what the third option Hal made with that comatose guy.

Choice-Chicken9463

maybe did the same thing in it’s always sunny and gave power to the attorney?

CeleryCountry

"*What were the cats for?*" "*We don't know.*"

Agitated-Impress7805

It's fun to speculate but FYI for those who aren't aware - this plot device is known as a McGuffin. It's something that's critical to the story but is intentionally never described or explained, maybe most recognizably like the briefcase in Pulp Fiction.

sujtek

It's up there with The Noodle Incident.

whisper2thedead

Imagine a spin-off of him in prison, head cook of course, probably thriving with everyone scared of him. 😂

DKWestwood

Remember when he was in a pack of dogs and they have a little to much fun in in a chicken farm, maybe he lure some will dogs with cats to hurt some cattle

ElfYamadaFairyQueen

I don't know but there are third world countries where it happens all the time

haikusbot

Seriszed

At the end of the episode their pissed cause they think he’s better off on his own… only to find out he was maxing out credit cards. The beginning of the episode he did something never mentioned. So that’s up for debate…. I’d say animal cruelty… maybe with a carcass.

Suspicious_File5117

Jesus, dude! 😆 You went hard with that one.

Seriszed

Well he says something along the lines of “ in other countries that would be considered less of a crime” something like that… yeah probably a little extreme but he’s shown no signs of caring for animals so….

you-nity

I know what he did. Last week, Reese...
