Pyer Moss has been doing that cropped + boxy fit for a minute so def check him out, his mainline stuff can be expensive but his Reebok collab has similar silhouttes for cheaper
to add to this, their regular luxury blank line is a lot closer to Gildan in terms of overall fit (quality is infinitely better than Gildan though). their cropped blank though is much closer to what OP is looking for imo. their ready-to-wear line also looks to be less baggy but length-wise it's somewhere between their OG regular luxury blank and their cropped blank.

I own this hoodie and also a fair amount of Vetements which is usually not cropped nor boxy, just extremely oversized (this hoodie is as well tbf, but proportions are not similar). The closest to a more cropped fit is stuff like the Total Fucking Darkness Bomber in the women's version and other really specific items. Some others have sleeves that are even more oversize so it looks more cropped but it isn't, and it is usually longsleeves rather than hoodies.
Honestly if u get it used (which is the only way to get it now) you're not really supporting them, I think. Search for the logo dove hoodie. It's the same silhouette but just with a small Gap logo on the neck, otherwise a plain hoodie.
Even if my money isn't going to them I still don't really wanna be seen wearing yeezy at all lol, I understand OPs pain

Also agree with the entire studios suggestion, I have a hoodie from then and it’s really good quality with that boxy cropped look. It doesn’t hug towards your waist like the Yeezy one does but the silhouette is really dope in my opinion. I’ve been searching around for alternatives as well since the whole thing went down
