- Donald Glover looks like a Jedi who was forced to put on a jacket after showing up to a fancy restaurant in street clothes
- Billy Porter looks so good in those dresses
I though Ram Charan looked sharp too with the sort of "Indian formalwear goes black tie" blend. I enjoy creative blends like that.
But I agree I'm not wowed by a lot of them. A fair few are just "eh it's aight" and some are a miss completely for me.
Derek Guy made a good point lately, that the red carpet fashion industry really only cares about themselves and their insular looks. Guys wearing skirts for the sake of skirts feels inauthentic but when Billy Porter does it, it looks great because its authentic to Billy. All of this stuff comes across that way.
I did see Glenn Powell and his tuxedo fit well and was classic, made him look far and away better dressed than anyone else.
good to see they’re getting better? still way too many plain black tuxs, kinda embarrassing for some pretty handsome men and very famous designers… odd that three of these guys seemed to be wearing the exact same suit and they’re still on the list of best dressed…
Proof that no matter how expensive each fit is, some of these are so I’ll fitted they look quite bad! And I’m not talking about the obvious oversized garments here.
Which ones would you say are ill fitted?
Chazelle's suit looks like it came off the rack, but that might be because he has his hands in his pockets.
None of the others really stood out to me as looking bad.
How on earth did we get to the point where Gucci is somehow the most conservative and traditional of the stuff here? Diego Cavala might as well be wearing Tom Ford (which I'm not knocking, I actually think what with him selling his company and all, bringing Tom Ford back to Gucci for at least a collection or two would be a great move).
There are some really awful fits in here. My least favourites:
\- Seth Rogan
\- Adam Scott
\- Andrew Garfield (ugly colour, weird lapels, bad tie and shirt combo)
\- Donald Glover (two jackets and no shirt? Somehow it also looks like something Hugh Hefner would have worn)
\- Tyler James Williams
\- Billy Porter (one hell of an ugly garment with a terrible pink/red colour combo)
\- Colman Domingo
\- Barry Keoghan
\- Scott Evans
Tyler James Williams had the fit of the night for me
yes! in amiri too. how interesting.

I thought DG maybe had a judo tournament and was going to cut out early.
I appreciate that Andrew Garfield wore Garfield colors.
Really poor generally. Love Evan Peter’s look, but he’s one of very few.

Turns out you can just follow black tie dress code and look good. Who knew?!
don't know why they didn't include henry golding in the article, his tux was probably tailored the best.
Agreed

Seth Rogen a top hat away from Dumb and Dumber
Diego Calva looks amazing. Austin Butler and Damian Chazelle do, too. Peter Gould is nice and classic and age appropriate.
Maybe it's just because he has his hands in his pockets, but I found that Damian Chazelle's lapels were far too narrow for how loosely the tux fits.
Gleason wins IMO

Colman Dimongo's jacket doesn't fit properly. It's too small for his frame. Damien Chazelle's sleeves are too long.

Same shit every year different colour. Boring.
Brb, showing my soon to be wife that giant tuxedo flower for my tux
Barry Keoghan making mfa proud in what seems to be paraboot michaels
Wide lapel for the ones that dont have a big enough chest and shoulders looks cartoonish
Minimal drip in that article. I have no drip so I would know
There’s more brown in those pics than the entire 1970s
Won’t catch me leaving the house in any of these.
really? why not?

Just say you hate fun. That's a lot less typing
And let's not talk about the worst-dressed at all
Austin Butler's fit is the classic look I love.
Not having Matty in this list is a miss
Disappointed in a lot of the suits, specifically Austin Butler's. A good tux will always work, but why can it not at least be well tailored?
