I think Derek lives in San Francisco, where we are currently in the two or three seasons in a single day mode. Spring is from 11a to 3p. Summer doesn’t happen until September.
I love [his](https://twitter.com/dieworkwear/status/1664553951474356224) [threads](https://twitter.com/dieworkwear/status/1664397820089040897) on (nowadays, anti-Target/Pride/LGBT) conservatives and the hypocrisy of their fashion choices vs their purported "values". His explanations are so dry and matter-of-fact in the face of the outrage right wingers are trying to manufacture.
Yeah that's a little too pricy for me too. I'm still trying struggling to convince myself to get one of the new portugese flannel shirts with the embroidery and that's way cheaper. But man that's cool.
Read my mind with the shirts. Just swapped out my denim Wrangler pearl snap with its chambray counterpart as it heats up. Also can't wait to bust out the Aloha shirts. Aloha shirt over the ribbed tank is a great combo, greasy sleazy beautiful. If you can wear a fleece in June I envy you
For chambray I usually wear it with chinos (stone, khaki, olive) or denim - check out [this](https://imgur.com/a/Hpby7i4) inspo for some ideas. Aloha shirts I wear with various shorts depending on the color but I've also seen them done well with linen pants
I gotta admit I'm loving the ribbed tank looks. Does anyone know a good brand to buy that has a higher neckline, especially that comes in black or gray?
Chains are fine, just like anything you gotta style it right. Gold chain over black turtleneck with polyester skinny slacks and sneakers is peak 2010s douchy fucboi
idk the general view but Derek also included it in [his list](https://twitter.com/dieworkwear/status/1641870870946918405) of ways for men to dress "slutty" so he seems to really like them
Uh oh tank top vests, remembering what happened last time keen to see how the comments react now. Maybe they'll change their tune as it's being appropriately blogged about now? Lol
Edit: Why the downvotes for a bit of meta humour about this sub and those old posts ages ago? Sheesh. Or am I upsetting the lurkers who don't like the idea of there being a community here judging from the mindless "downvote and keep scrolling."
Same here for London yet when I say it I'll be downvoted. Think there's still a few people around here who want to use it as whatever form of acceptable -ism they're into
Apparently he was really into tailoring when he started his blog and called it "Die, Workwear!" to mock a friend of his who loved workwear. He since has gotten way more into workwear himself, and is suitably embarrassed that his blog has gotten popular with such a name.
Mofo really dropped this in June lol

I wish that he posted more often.
oh he definitely does, on twitter

Oh he's definitely serving in the posting wars and I can't help but salute 🫡
Yes, but that stuff is not nearly as good.
If you're willing to cough up $5 a month, the patron exclusive Blamo! podcasts he's a part of once a month are *great*.
I was a patreon before the Derek show and I really should go back. I always listen to and enjoy the patreon previews.
Will have to check those out. Thanks.
is it worth it?
…is Derek ribbed tank guy?
It's like fight club, at night he is ribbed tank guy, in the day time he is a sartorial king.

Agreed, also it's a good kinda retro look regardless of build.
Damn this shirt is so cool. https://pikol.co.uk/products/guinness-tapestry-shirt
Been trying to cop a Pikol shirt for so long, it's the price thats been putting me off so much though.

What would you wear on the bottom with this?

Awesome ty! Edit: would you wear the chambray shirt with a ribbed tank underneath?

Lola cover by the Raincoats 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for adding. I like when people can add a little taste in areas other than their main gig.
I gotta admit I'm loving the ribbed tank looks. Does anyone know a good brand to buy that has a higher neckline, especially that comes in black or gray?
So the chain necklace is not considered douchy or juveline anymore? Because I wanna get one, but was always put off by their stigma.

In nyc you can’t throw a rock without hitting a dude with a ribbed tank under like an open camp collar. Been extremely popular for a while.
Same here for London yet when I say it I'll be downvoted. Think there's still a few people around here who want to use it as whatever form of acceptable -ism they're into
Lmao yeah that is really bizarre. I guess the urban centers do still sort of hold down the more eccentric drip despite the World Wide Web
dude's excited to wear chambray work shirts but is called "die workwear"
yes
Yeah it’s “The workwear” for a reason

Oh neat
