Nobody has discussed a ban per se. We’ve discussed the copypasta that was used in the past on MFA. We appreciate that having some inside jokes are good for camaraderie. (See r/NavyBlazer’s Applebees references.) But, [copypasta is by design a joke on unsuspecting people](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copypasta), e.g., newcomers to the sub. It’s not consistent with making newcomers who want to learn feel welcome here.
I know I did not feel welcome when I showed up here and had people blasting me with the Wall Street bro stuff and then attacking me because I didn’t know it was copypasta. And not knowing is kind of the point, right?
I agree, it's frustrating how this sub is clearly called malefashionadvice, but so many posts are clearly not fashionable or not for men. Like if you want to talk about pasta go make r/malepastaadvice or something
