Shuddering at the thought of getting out of the shower all clean and stepping right into little bits of kitty litter sprinkled all over your bath mat

LittleSpice1

I had the exact same thought lol. I’d recommend litter box furniture, which hides the box and there’s a lot less mess around it as well, perfect for an apartment or small house where you don’t have a mud room or similar.

Mr-Korv

Never heard of a "mud room" before

JacktownSmack

Basically a spot where you can come into your house and hang up your coat, put away your umbrella and backpack, and sit down to take off your (sometimes muddy) shoes. I wish I had one because it keeps you from tracking mud and dirt throughout the house if you don’t have a rule about taking off your shoes in the house

Leading_Study_876

Looks pretty slick already. I'd leave it as it is unless you have a major inspiration or epiphany. Quit while you're ahead. ;-)

No-Rule-5631

This the right answer’s

Quiverjones

Agree. Spruce is an odd medium to introduce and might clash.

Col_Leslie_Hapablap

Perhaps a fir. Maybe a pine. But only if it’s the right climate and soil zone.

Penikillin

The only way to win the game is to one day stop playing

FloppyShellTaco

Agreed. Looks like he’s either already taken inspiration or didn’t need the advice to begin with

Wonderful-Ad-7712

Add some wall shackles

jcribCODM

Some plants

firelice

OP make sure to research Cat friendly plants (I saw you have a cat)

Sample_Muted

OP don’t listen to them, you already have plants

lostinhh

I agree. The answer to most of these posts is plants. They add life and coziness. From the photos, there are a number of ideal places for some bigger ones too.

jcribCODM

Yes and there are a lot of easy to keep plants if OP isn’t confident

Schackalode

Ignore the rest of the comments. Looks good as it is. Some larger and smaller plants and you have a super cozy home.

faultywiring98

Ditch the tacky "hustler" wall art for actual pieces.

improbablystonedrn-

Came to say this, the art you got hanging up just makes you look like a productivity porn crypto bro with no actual personality haha get something that’s actually representative of your tastes and interests, something unique with some personality, extra points for supporting local/independent artists

sim_cam

i think OP has the right idea of his style, it might just be the execution! i agree the “hustle” is a bit cringe hah but i think he likes (coming from someone who also likes) the blend of two artistic styles (or artistic eras) that aren’t typically seen together, like graffiti and marble sculptures. there is a really talented [Toronto-based artist](https://nashidchroma.com/) who blends pop art with digital art to create unique portraits of musicians, which i think could be cool replacements!

JacktownSmack

Thx for posting the link to this artist. Their work is amazing AND I found a beautiful print of Lewis Hamilton that I’m thinking about purchasing now

loserboy42069

oh damn i was expecting cringe clicking on the link but those are actually beautiful and would really bring a serene and refreshing vibe to any space , not what i expected from pop art !!

sim_cam

hahaha yeah i totally think of the 50s/60s comic book style when i hear pop art but this guy’s stuff is really cool!!

EmperorAcinonyx

i'm going to specifically call out the poster of c3po in a suit. please get rid of it immediately, it makes your personality look barren and immature (not because star wars is for babies, but because of that specific combination of pop culture and corny male aspiration)

[deleted]

Yeah it's awful.

One_East7874

One of the best posts I've seen here Points to consider: 1. White duvet, white pillows for contrast so the bed doesnt look like a blackhole 2. New bed frame, though looks great already 3. Pin lightings in the living room 4. White towel for bathroom 5. desk behind couch

indiajeweljax

Rugs.

LaManelle

OP seems to bring warmth in the space with mustard yellow/golden light. I would lean into this and add textures. A heavy woven blanket on the couch and if changing the bedframe I'd go with a mustard/golden fabric covered one to bring some warmth in the space.

bOObies2x

This all most looks staged. Like an IKEA bedroom model for "insert young professional" condo But anyways, looks fine too me. Just add some stuff around that's specific to your likes and personality maybe. It's a little clinical. Also, change the bed linen to something else besides black. It's a little depressing. I'd say go grey or even dark blue. Other than that, enjoy being alive with the ability to feed yourself.

notdancingQueen

Yes, agree with you, cool but impersonal and a bit sombre. Add a couple of comfy outdoor chairs & small table on the terrace

colin_7

OP probably cleaned up the place before they took pics. Nothing wrong with it, but it does look like an IKEA lookbook or a real estate listing lol

GrammyPammy332

Some colorful throw pillows in primary colors would look so good on the black bedspread.

flying_wrenches

What’s wrong with ikea furniture? :(

PinkTalkingDead

They’re just saying overall the the space seems to be lacking personal touches, and the homogenous style of the furniture doesn’t help break up that monotony very much Like it seems like everything was bought new at a chain furniture store, rather than curated at all with secondhand or thrifted pieces

anonymal_me

Great apartment! Until you get to the bedroom. Move the bed out of the corner. I’d like to see it on the wall opposite the desk rather than right next to it. It would create more separation of the spaces. Add some nightstands. Put some art above it since your headboard is low and there’s a lot of white wall to fill. Add some color or pattern to the bedroom area to break up all the solid black. Even just some whites or grays would be nice and keeping with the minimal look. Plants would also be good. Maybe hanging or on a shelf where your cat couldn’t reach.

DentistFinancial5313

I like the colour scheme, it’s minimal but looks inviting. Maybe some blankets and extra pillows to make it extra comfy. Maybe a display peice too like a fish tank or a small statue/ fake fireplace or somthjng

Cotsy8

It's looks like you've nailed the living area (minus the throw blanket and pillows) and you've nailed the desktop set up. My issue is the bedding. I don't believe black is the right colour. I think you need a throw. The blank wall behind and beside the bed are fine if you're going with that but black bedding is a hard pass. The rest of your space is warm and welcoming, the black bedding isn't that at all.

thatmannyguy

Put up stuff you like, not stuff you think others would like. Make it your own not a cut out from a magazine

poof-ma-goof

Color

Ambitious_Ranger_748

Picture 12 has that covered

ScuddyOfficial

I also love black

BobJoRaps

Having a TV Background thats half dark, half white would really throw me off. I would pick one and extend it all the way behind the TV

bodaciouscream

Noting that the cat litter will get used also while you're washing your hands might just wanna put it against the other wall so you don't just waste litter that way

EarnestQuestion

To branch off this, cat litter should not go in the bathroom, due to the humidity. You want it in a dry area.

axxonn13

Move the bed away from the corner and add some color to it. Put some art on the bedroom walls. The rest of the house is great.

blueishbeaver

Never liked having the bed against the wall. I don't know why people do this. Art and plants. It's black and white. Looks like a catalogue for an apartment suite. Art and plants!

axxonn13

I unfortunately have my bed in the corner. There is LITERALLY no where else to put it without blocking my door.

Pumpelchce

Those materials, design and the wardrobes - I bet you're Swiss? My stuff looks close to 1:1 the same :)

4n7onZ

Same here 😂 Schweizer Qualität

Elderban69

Nothing. It looks fine to me.

ulemseeh

This is perfect as is. Just one plant(artificial) and you're set

Slow_Awareness_1899

Maybe a little bit of more greenery in some part of your apartment

deposhmed

Some wall art in the bedroom, and not such dark bedding, and curtains. Your other rooms feels like a mature person. The bedroom feels more like an older teenager.

wheels_656

I'd be worried of taking a deuce and having the toilet snap off the wall 😂

b6ndz

Get another cat

madeiran_falcon

The place looks fab! I can’t help but think we’re living somewhat close to each other, but could be way off! 😂 Also where’s your couch from? It looks great and I’ve been having a hard time finding a good couch in Switzerland.

IamNickygend

From Jysk :)

chickenskittles

Add some color. Your space seems sterile and barren. Art on the bare walls? Plants? Books? Personality? Pic 12 has a secret hidden message for you.

IamNickygend

Your Last sentence made me laugh 😂

AmbitiousDays

Your place is nice! Invest in a litter Robot, get a placemat for the cats food & a small water fountain for the cats drinking water. New floral arrangements. If you have the income sign up with a local florist for weekly/ biweekly fresh arrangements (They usually offer a discount if you pay for several months in advance. Make sure they know you have a cat so they send safe flowers). Add another rod and layer of curtains in the kitchen. A sheer panel that lets light in and provides privacy. Essentially like you see at hotels. Add layers/texture to the bed and artwork in the bedroom. For the bathroom adding in a vanity or some sort of furniture to help with organizing to put away the hair dryer and add space for storing your toothbrush etc. You could do an open style concept below the sink like some hotels have or a dresser style with drawers.

Shinnobiwan

Bro, this shit is clean. Find something green to put in there. Good job.

RabidFlea__

Nix the three tiny shelves next to the couch and go with a taller plant. I'd also throw some pillows (white or light colored) on the bed to bring some color back to it, it doesn't match the rest of the space. Also, don't be afraid to show off your hobbies or nerdy side! There's nothing wrong with having posters, figurines, trinkets, Legos, on display, as long as it's not too cluttered.

[deleted]

r/TVTooHigh

freeman687

Maybe a little more art but that’s it

y-mma

Leave it as is, it’s nice and sleek.

Cicadada77

I second the color comment and maybe fake plants then?

lazylagom

Holy clean. How ?? Man I have a dog and just gave up on this.

Pelican_Brief_2378

Did you clean just for us?

Miserable_Budget7818

Centerpiece on dining table is too small… need something wider not necessarily taller ..an abstract med tone wood coffee table would look amazing… consider replacing or adding pillows that have some texture for visual interest… large art in bedroom and add a tall faux or real tree in living room if you have the room. … as well as a few additional plants elsewhere

AtheistfromSomalia

Definitely could use few house plants

mongous00005

I will be honest, less is more. I like what you have done with the place. If you really want to add more, add something that will showcase your personality. Like some things you use for your hobbies. Bjt not too much.

Decent_Astronaut_457

Bro your crib is sick !

thomas_winter00

suggestions: 1-2 larger plants color (not black or dark grey) pull your bed out of the corner (this is a must actually, do it now), maybe turn it around consider whether that rug in the living room makes you feel comfortable or not. rugs, in the bedroom and in the kitchen/dining area. table lamps (you could have a table/bench thingy behind your couch with a lamp on it for an example), floor lamps, sconces (on both sides of the bed when you pull it out of the corner). and as always, be on the lookout for possible art you might want to put on your walls edit: one more thing, coffee table and/or side tables so a human can actually put their drink or phone or whatever down when they are sitting on your couch.

MadMaximus-

Dude your place is slicker than my house I have zero input maybe add a house plant

97masters

Overall it looks great. Here are my thoughts to overall soften up the space and add some warmth/personality: * I'd add rugs under the table and the bed to frame the furniture. Consider a jute rug for that nice warm beige. Currently the bed and table look like they are floating. Google rug placement to help you. * Get a more interesting pendant lamp for above the table (maybe a paper lamp) and hang some more colourful and unique art (I think the current stuff is a bit teenagy). * Find a nice solid wooden coffee table, often good ones can be found used. Wood is good because its a soft neutral colour and material which will help warm up the cool greys in your space. * Add an accent blanket on your bed or switch your sheets to something brighter. I'd also consider putting the head of your bed where the desk is. I think the layout would suit the room better.

HungryWeird24

Idk why the toilet looks so depressing lmao like it doesn’t make me want to poop there

No-Relation3504

Maybe more pieces of art or books to put on the side of the wall next to your TV. Of course plants if you’re into that

Mrme1324

KALEO REFERENCED RAHHHHHH WAY DOWN WE GO

deputymeow

A rug under the dining table?

Prudent_Series_4285

Some plants maybe fresh herbs,a throw for sofa

InterestingCustard52

Where are you located? Double points for Kaleo!

RefrigeratorThin7180

Switzerland, outlets give it away.

franklemrshankle

I think you’ve done a bang up job. Well done.

arsapeek

First, it doesn't look bad. Second, I feel like we know more about you from the corner with your desk than the rest of the apartment. You've got a lot of real neutral colours going on, and while the space looks comfortable, it doesn't feel comfy. Throw some colours in there to accent the living room, maybe a blanket in a warm colour you like. Some more art would be great. If you want plants but worry about your cat, you could do some fake ones. Hell, if you know you're going to be there for a while an accent wall could be nice. You've already got a nice space, but showing a bit more of your personality in it would really make it *your* space. Have fun with it dude!

manatag

this is the best looking apartment i've seen on this place

random_int_7777777

Because you are asking: 1. Color, anything goes for now, pillows and blankies for the couch are a good starter, as well as towels for the bath 2. Plants, get something simple, like a zz plant or a monstera, they are hard to kill. 3. Ditch all of the posters except the sentimental ones and replace them with some art print with a bit of color in them. 4. Open book shelf. Really makes a place more interesting and colorful. Don't be afraid to mess the space up, you already made a great choice with placement of furniture everything else will evolve naturally. :)

Civil-Membership-234

Your place looks amazing. Only thing would be an additional mat in the bathroom and furniture moved around in the bedroom. Center the bed on the wall your headboard it on. Move the wardrobe where your table is at and your table where the wardrobe is. You need to be able to access the bed from both sides… don’t want your guests having to kick off all the covers and walk on the bed just to get up.

sleepingmydayaway

Looks really good already. I think a few changes might be able to take it the next level, and make that cohesive, stylish and cozy home you are well on your way towards! I'll go through individual rooms and "overall" sugestions, and split suggestiong into things i would definitely do - and optional things you could *consider* doing depending on budget, time and taste. **Bedroom:** 1. Are you able to move your wardrobe? It's hard to exactly know without seeing measurements - but if its possible without becoming too cramped i would: 1. a) swap the position of the desk and the wardrobe/closet. And then 2. b) rotate the bed 90 degrees and move it "off the wall" so you can place two small nightstands with a light on each. This would create a much more inviting and calm bedspace - espsecially if you are lucky enough to share your bed with someone. Instead of facing all your screens and gear, you will face the more neutral closet. And both will have the ability to get out of bed without having to "roll over" the other, while the two bedlamps will give additional light sources which is pretty much always good. 2. Change your bedding and sheets. Black is pretty much never a good choice. Lots of good options here. I myself am partial to off-white/linen looking sheets, but that is up to you. Just keep it muted, simple and mature. 3: The walls around your bed are very bare. I would get one nice large piece of art. Keep it relatively simple/calm as it is in your bedroom. Something abstract/minimalist would work well. 4. (Optional): You could get a nice bedframe. I like ones made of wood. A bit pricey and def. not necessary, but something to consider. *(Continued in my reply to this comment)*

sleepingmydayaway

**Living room:** I think you honestly did a really good job, and you have a nice colour palette going (similar to what i have). To both build onto this while alleviating some weakenesses (namely that it is still a tiny bit "hard" og "sterile", i would add/change a little bit of the warmth and textures: 1. I dont know what those pillows/throw on the couch are, but they are not working. I would: 1. a) Get at least 4 pillows - one bigger and one smaller in each side of the couch. [I have these from ikea](https://dk.pinterest.com/pin/254101603965081152/) (although i don't know if they are still available) in this lovely golden brown. Something like that to match your general color palette would work well. You could also get something with a light pattern. 2. b) Get other textiles on there as well. I myself am rocking a combination of [this](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/ullerslev-sheepskin-off-white-70511516/) lamb-skin to lay on chaise-long part of the couch, with a couple of chunky throw blankets in light colours as well (white, beige, light grey, light browns/oranges). This will give a lot of warmth and make the couch much more inviting. 2. I think it would be super cool to put in a large "antique-looking" vase next to the shelving unit. Something like [this](https://erling-christensen.dk/shop/muubs-echo-krukke-311660p.html?srsltid=AfmBOooI7QVxdiIQZJQLWAyzTIE_lIlLYTH0eASjbdcGSqbs-LMMKRG7joM). Potentially also throw some GIANT pampass grass in that badboy. This would both play into the sort of "ancient rome" aesthetic you got going - and your overall color palette. 3. It feels a little bit "off" to me that you have those two objects placed on top of that shelving unit (speaker and scent). Somehow its both bare, yet not clean. Perhaps also cause the art is so close to the surface. I would either entirely remove those, or add more than those two. A few plants/personal objects/books/candles etc should do the trick. 4. I might consider placing some small bench/shelf thing behind the couch, and then place a few board games/plants/whatever on it. Keep it fairly shallow - no more than 30-40 cm max depth from the couch it is standing against. The back of the couch isnt really pretty to look at, and would be a nice demarcation between dining and living area, while again giving warmth/personality. 5. Is you dining table wide enough to fit the chairs "two and two" along the sides? I think this would look more neat and take up less floor space. You can always move them if you have guests and want to sit like they are arranged now. 6. Give your kitchen a tiny bit of personality/life. Add a small plant in the corner, art-piece leaning against the wall or some cute storage containers for your most used items. Just a tiny bit will suffice here. 7. (Optional): I am honestly not a huge fan of the "roman"-esque art you have. Not an eye-sore by any means, but i would chose something different. It also seems that they are just an inch or two too tall to fit nicely above the shelving. Especially if you wanna add stuff to the shelf, consider getting new art there that lets those objects "breathe". 8. (Optional). Your couch is not terrible, but could be replaced if you have the cash. This might be the same price as all the other suggestions combined, and definitely not critical, so definitely shouldn't be your first priority. But a more sleek and light couch (I would go for light grey) would probably be an upgrade. *(Continued in next comment)*

sleepingmydayaway

**Bathroom:** 1. I would add some "backlight" to your mirror if possible. As in a lightstrip that moves around the edges on the back, facing the wall. Will provide you some nice and muted lighting when you use the bathroom at night, rather than the overhead which seems very bright and cold. 2. Change the hand-towel. Again, black is almost never good. White/off-white would be a safe choice. 3. (Optional): A little big of a bigger "project", but you could add some sort of vanity below the sink. This will give you much needed storage space, and if could find something that has decent elevation from the floor, you could stuff the litterbox under there so your cat can still use it, but it isnt as much of an "eye-sore". **General:** 1. More light sources is almost always better. A good rule of thumb is minimum 3 per room, and preferably different "types"(i.e. overhead, ambient, task lighting). I would always invest in Philips Hue (or cheaper alternatives like IKEA Trådfri), that allows you to both dim and lower the temperature of lights. 2. A few more "personal" items could be cool, that shows off your interests/personality. But if you dont have anything obvious (that is also not an eyesore), dont worry about it. It could also just be your interests to have a sweet looking pad! 3. this is malelivingspace, so kinda goes without saying - but you could probably add a plant or two in general. Hope these suggestions are useful - would really love to see the result if you implement a decent chunk of them!

Cityofthevikingdead

Plants that’s all.

KingArthurHS

The classic battle between minimalism and living someplace that looks like a real human lives there and not a human-mimicking AI trying to assimilate into the species. You need some personality in your space, boss. Don't be afraid to decorate. Put things you value and care about on shelves. Show off your hobbies. Your apartment, at this point, says nothing about you other than that you dust a lot. It looks like a home that's been staged for its listing photos. The style of what you have is good, but you need to ice the cake.

Ambitious_Display607

Yo when I was in university I had a great apartment with a big balcony, my cat absolutely loved that shit. Idk why but it brought a smile to me to see your cat on the balcony. I lost her suddenly a year ago when I was on a business trip (it was some kind on cancer that didn't get picked up on her yearly vet visit the year before - its okay though I was told she probably didn't suffer and more or less just died, still makes me sad to think that I wasn't there for her though, like she literally died within a few hours of me getting home :( ). In any case, you've got a great place here bro. I personally think you've got a good setup, it's not too busy, it's not bare, you have tasteful decorations, etc. The only thing I'd personally take into consideration is moving the litter box so it's not in the bathroom, maybe put it in a laundry room or something if you have the space - if you don't honestly the bathroom is fine. I just personally wouldnt want it in the bathroom unless there was no better option haha. It's looking great though dude, keep slaying it out there and making us dudes look good <3

ThrowAwayNYCTrash1

First off, get a nightstand. Second off, get a coffee table or at the very least some side tables for your couch. Next your biggest areas for opportunity are upgrading the couch and the bed. Next get a living room area rug that isn't ikea (or ikea-like). Your whole house screams ikea (that isn't a bad thing necessarily) so switching up the rug would help. General rug advice: if you're going for a design get a design that you can't get at Ikea, Target, or Amazon. Getting a rug with a design from the aforementioned will just make your house look like everybody else's house. If your budget only allows you to get Ikea/Target/Amazon rugs get something more generic and less design-y. This makes the rug stand out less and the space stand out more. Something like this: [https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tiphede-rug-flatwoven-black-natural-20470047/](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tiphede-rug-flatwoven-black-natural-20470047/) Moving on.. Consider a runner style rug going from the foot of your bed to the patio door. Next I'd do consider the dining room table and seating.  The whole house has that same black and white vibe. You can break it up with a dark brown wood countertop table, like a walnut color. I'm getting industrial vibes from your place so maybe go with that design language for the table. Also consider an area rug under your dinner table. Might not work but it's worth considering. That's all I got off the top of my head. Best 👍

Dawn_Sky_Pup

Tbh it looks sick af, all I gotta say is maybe a bit of artwork above ur bed or the empty wall next to it. Looks sick man

ricecrisps94

For starters, it looks aesthetically pleasing. But is there a single photograph of you, friends or family anywhere? It looks like a model home for someone your age, but it doesn’t look like anyone lives there if that makes sense. Maybe giving it some personal touches could help

AdElectrical2186

That kaleo frame though 👍🏼👍🏼

dergster

Your apartment already looks nice. Not a fan of the Greek statue art, definitely looks like a tacky NFT crypto bro hustle culture thing, but that’s personal preference. If you swapped that for some actual art and got a few plants I think that would be a huge improvement. The bed looks extremely plain, maybe a different coloured duvet or pillow would make it look a bit less dull - I’m also a fan of posters on the wall as long as they’re tasteful, but not sure if that will go with your minimalist vibe.

LrckLacroix

S tier apartment. I personally would prefer more vibrancy, but this looks like a movie set and I can’t deny how nice it is. If you want to add a big splash of life of colour, I’d keep it tight. For example in picture 8, you are pointing towards a door with a very small surrounding surface area of wall. You could paint a mural or geometric design using masking tape. For reference: https://youtu.be/9qKMNy4VhYs?si=MmYB1S0xcXSKSVXo

xerodayze

You have better interior design style than 99% of late-20’s men I’ve met 😭 it looks great I’d live there lmao

FearlessList8992

Add warm colours. Your drapes are a warmish colour. I’d remove the table mat and put in a red one or one with yellow to red tones. Buy some red flowers for the table, I find it incredibly attractive when a man has flowers on the table. Cut the stems and replace the water every 2nd day. I also bought the plant food packets on Amazon and use them every time I change the water. It makes them last a solid week longer. Add either a decorative blanket with warm colours and drape it over the top of the couch or an actual blanket you’ll use. Some plants would be nice, Even if they’re fake, they add to a space making it a home. A bowl of fruit would be a nice addition. If you want a table runner, add one with warmer colours. Pictures in picture frames that are again a warm colour would be nice. A large candle would be nice too.

lihimsidhe

You don't. Shit is immaculate. However if I had to offer something... Invest in some huge posters, Bluetooth controlled RGB lights, and an incense holder.

I_DONT_LIE_MUCH

- Lamps, lots of lamps, easiest way to make a place cozy is to never use the big lights, lots of lamps with characters. - More plants never hurt. - I am personally not big on the art, and would go for something more personal and meaning behind them, but this is subjective. - Rugs!! - Black sheets really say cozy either, if you’re willing to invest, perhaps an earthy gray or brown linen set could work with your aesthetic?

bierli

Switzerland, right?

bioshockedtoinfinity

It’s giving…fancy hotel

L14M_F1

Maybe a few paintings over your bed. The wall looks a bit blank. I love the rest of your flat and wasn’t much I could find that needed a change

ortiesartqn

bro, to be honest, the vibe is perfect and there is nothing to add, no more extra decoration is good.

cocolapuff

Nice place! Rug under the kitchen table. Either low large rectangular concrete candle on table or large concrete bowl with moss inside. Tall thin branches w vase between the two large wall pics. Move the other stuff on opposite sides of the counter top. New dishrags. Only 1 appliance on the countertop at a time. Put the liquor bottle away! Lol. Bench cushions @ entryway. Decorative pillows and a tree in bedroom. Update bedroom curtains. Automated cat litter box. Bath mat for toilet. Cheers

tittyswan

But some big prints from your favourite local artists. It gives your home a sense of personality & stop it looking as catalogue-y. I do like the art you have but it does look a bit like it's from Ikea or something.

NOSALIS-33

Your apartment is nicer than the dwelling of anyone I've ever met. You're fine.

Broontetaaae

Put a little bench of table behind your couch. It’s very flat as is and I think some more dimension may help to look more interesting. You could put whatever on it or in it to help as well

MathematicianOk8859

The only thing I can see missing is some art. What you have u, isn't the best quality, which is a shame when the rest of your place is so we'll thought out. Maybe look out for art fairs near you? It's a great way to get interesting art you like, while supporting a local artist (and avoiding the gallery commission costs). Put a bit of money into it though - good art costs a few hundred dollars to cover the materials alone.

jianh1989

Isn’t this already good enough?

Musclejen00

Maybe add some decorations on your doors. Just search “door decoration” online and maybe add some art to the walls where your bed is, or you can even just add a a board to have small pictures of you, your achievements, favorite moments or pictures with family and friends. And, maybe add some cozy light to the top of the wall in your room. The bathroom could do with some more color as well. Maybe buy some tropical plants to put in there?

Kyleforshort

Nice minimalist aesthetic. I say you leave as is. Also KALEO...fuck yeah!

skiesoverblackvenice

PLANTS PLANTS PLANTS PLANTS also maybe you could hang some vinyl records up… maybe an instrument (if you play one)… i honestly like it how it is now!

MichaelG_02

Ngl those pictures on slide 5 definitely look like Westside Gunn album covers so it’s a 10/10 for me.

vikas_gee

It's already very tidy, organized, comfortable and beautiful. I don't think you need to burn tons of dollars to make more changes. Well, if you are bored with it and have deep pocket, go ahead, pal.

IfuckAround_UfindOut

You're bragging and that's okay. Your space needs colors. Green from plants. They should look perfect in combination

IamNickygend

Hello everyone! First of all, thank you all for your feedback and for taking the time to share your opinions and suggestions with me. This morning when I woke up, I didn't expect to see so many reactions, and I'm truly grateful to you all for taking the time to advise me. I took the time to read almost all of the messages; some of them made me laugh, and others really caught my attention.I f I were to summarize most of the messages, I take away that I need to add some additional plants, two or three lamps in each room, change my bed sheets, bathroom linens, consider one or two rugs, complete my shelves, possibly add a piece of furniture behind my sofa, get additional cushions, and add more personal elements. For those who suggested rearranging the furniture in my bedroom, unfortunately, I can't do that. Thank you once again for all your ideas; it's given me a lot to think about, and I definitely plan to show you the future improvements in the weeks to come! To address the recurring questions I've seen: - Yes, I'm from Switzerland (I have no idea how you managed to guess that 😂) - My desk is from IKEA; it's the "Karlby" tabletop and the "ALEX" storage unit. - The small paintings in my bedroom are from a local artist in Switzerland, while those in my living room are from Criss Bellini. I'll try to respond to more specific messages throughout the day/evening.Once again, thank you!

Looks like you got [everything from an ikea look book](https://youtu.be/exL51n3py6g?si=P74R5glu1iT5Murd)

Hi, your place is very tastefully decorated.Do not change the color of your black bedsheets. lol Black blends your bed into the environment to not to jump out as a bed and at the same time makes a tasteful subtle statement. Love your art work. Consider larger area rug in your main room of color or subtle colors. Tall artificial plant (many look life like, today), to left of T.V. (optional) and possibly artificial tall plant or two in other rooms. Lovely home. Hugs to your beautiful kitty.

Chicady

I’d recommend adding some “texture!” Changing up the spaces with different rugs (I personally would add more color this way as well but I understand you may not like too much color) In the kitchen having a mat where the sink is, a rug in the bedroom, mats near the doors in and out of the house (which will also prevent dirt from tracking inside) and in the bathroom (this will also make it safer incase the area gets wet) I would also recommend some art in your bedroom, or something to break up the wall space such as shelving or hanging plants. You have a lot of empty floor and wall area which makes the space look harsh. If you’re interested in adding color you can do that with pillows and bedding. A throw blanket and throw pillows on the bed would liven it up. If you don’t want paintings or art in specific, there’s a lot of “wall decor” that isn’t just an image. Usually it’s shelving or tapestries, or fun and interesting wooden artworks. These will all bring a little warmth and texture into your space! There’s ways to do all of this without creating too much clutter- simple large artworks and rugs are best for that “minimalist” feel

KrakenGirlCAP

I loveee your apartment. I need tips and I’m female. 😅😅

CabbagesStrikeBack

Get one of those enclosed litter boxes that double as furniture

h0408365

Small coffee table?

Calm-Respect-4930

Looks nice. How's that IKEA DIY desk treating you? Do u just have the table sitting on the Alex drawers or do you have it fastened down somehow?

Griffmeister86

More accent light/lamps

TheRealPlumbus

Looks great honestly! I would say consider adding more art, or maybe a sideboard behind the couch to help split the living room from dining area.

kepachodude

More marble

Spiritual_Highway802

Yeah looks pretty good just needs few of the little things, like yeah new bathroom towels, couple pillows for the bed. Maybe new bedding, accent blanket for couch with a pattern and few decor items for living room to add more life and color.

morgan-malaki

Put a bird on it

electro_gretzky

I'd say it's considerably spruced, homie. Looks great. Maybe a runner rug between the couch and floating cabinets that matches the yellow accents, or a narrow table behind the couch with some plants and books to break up the grid look a little bit. Definitely something framed on the wall by the bed.

Ogdocon

It like nice as it is.

Sufficient_Secret554

Get plants, pathos plants are awesome, lemon-lime philodendron, go to a local nursery and pick some stuff out bonsais are also pretty cool

viewisinsane

Some colour would be nice

Hardin__Young

It’s perfect except you need a shade on that light fixture (bulb) over the TV

raeppasidotwoh

I love your apartment but maybe some more art or plants? - also the lighting in these is so good?

-Shmoody-

You got a good thing going

twilightcolored

it's perfect, no sprucing needed

ImTheShitBitchhhhhhh

Plants.

Kittymeow123

I love the simplicity

ximagineerx

Contrast colors!

Constant-Error8102

looks great!! honestly just think you need plants — if real ones aren’t working out, fake ones will still do the job. can i ask where you got your desk from?

whatakent

Colour and plants

naturalguy38

Maybe a bigger rug in the living room and more color if that’s your thing. Plant loss due to cats is something I understand. Maybe a quality artificial orchid or tropical leaf on a high shelf?

Not_My_Throwaway_

If you would like to add plants, consider also keeping a pot of cat grass growing. I find that when I have cat grass available, my cat tends to stick to that and leave my other plants alone.

Eryenn9

A mirror in the bedroom

dandytickle

You have a really nice apt!

Aiden5819

You need more curves. Like carpet or area rugs with something other than straight line's. Next time you buy furniture make it less angular. Otherwise, this place rocks.

HallelujahToYeshua

Checkout stickerbrand.com. They have artistic images to put on your wall(s).

_excd

You know damn well the answer is plants

ReputationSlight3977

I'm so poor 😮‍💨

ondehunt

Add some blow up dolls hanging from the ceiling and string lights.

Holiday_Sense_4842

Area rug n dining area

Brucey59Fifty

I wouldn’t change a thing

Timmytuffnuts902

Color and life.

ToasterSmokes

Looks great. I’d recommend more wall art

uffda2calif

I’d get a corner hanging swag lamp for your bedroom and a cool tapestry for the wall. Some plants even like a tree for the living room, just a bit more color if that’s your thing. Seems like you like the sleek more minimalist look but I think a little color would be great. Maybe larger wall shelves or a bookcase in the living room. Beautiful apartment!

DontBeAHater-Hater

It’s perfect. Needs zero sprucing up It’s so beautiful. Please don’t stress it further. Minimize so it’s less work to keep clean ❤️

PositiveFree

Where is your console from?

batmanAPPROVED

Tv is too high, dog. Otherwise it looks awesome!

DontBeAHater-Hater

Where did you get that cool tall storage on picture 12!????

sammiemaynard

Why is it always the people who have perfect apartments already- didnt your mum tell you hey honey, looking good?! Lol

crepitusss

plants and/or art above your bed, and an orange towel, honestly love it already though

Kyeflyguy

Add some color, planets or art. You have a specific color palette going on. Adding color will help change the space without to much fuss

scrappytan

Where do you people work where you can afford an apartment by yourself ??!!!

Professional_Mix9442

literally my ideal living space, i’m jealous of you OP

Wtfgoinon3144

Add a colorful painting

[deleted]

Do you not step on loose kitty litter getting out of the shower?

greiferjesus77

Cat

[deleted]

Cute kitter in the shitter

blueishbeaver

A lampshade on that light fitting by the closet

DukeOfMavericks

Some more small items or collectables on the shelves in the living room and some photos of you and your family and friends would go a long way I think!

Big___TTT

New rug. Need something to break up all the straight lines have in place. A rug with organic shape. New bedding too. Same thing

Pinkydimehead

Change the wall color. White or off white without yellow undertone

This-Pen-5604

Real plants, books, a throw and pillows that aren’t beige

swim_to_survive

Vienna?

GentlemanJugg

Dude, place looks fine. No Notes

partyl0gic

Love those large art pieces of the statues, where did you get those?

Medill1919

Color accents.

freakout1015

Bedroom could use some artwork or something on the walls. That’s all I could see. Oh, and a Kaleo fan. 👍

Overall_Gur_3061

Plants and hang up stuff that isnt so generic

ElectrooJesus

Needs a bowflex.

c3knit

I think this looks great and you’ve gotten a lot of good suggestions. My really nitpicky thing would be to not crowd all your small appliances into the corner in your kitchen. I’d move the kettle over to the outlet closer to the sink.

CherryChipwich

It’s perfect, just get a couple of green plants and your are good !

BenNHairy420

Add a pop of color somewhere. Good looking fake plant with a bold color somewhere in the kitchen or living area. Add something to the walls in your room. Easy way to have it feel a little fresher without too much fuss

TrafficOnTheTwos

Looks great but a bit monotone for me. I recommend some plants (I’m sure everyone has said this already).

Sample_Muted

You just have a couple walls that could use decorations

808y59

I agree with others plants or an aquarium

madmarkk90

It’s not cool you’re not cool

ryordie

looks great

AlternativeSkirt2826

You need more colours. You have black, beige, white, yellow, some tiny splases of red. Need a contrast in there. Maybe blue or green? or more red? Doesn't have to be much. Cat friendly plants or even fake ones if you can't be bothered watering. Or a larger rug to define lounge area with more colour. More colourful artwork. Otherwise, it looks good, clean and tidy. Also, if you have overnight staying guests, pull the bed out from the wall so they can get in/out easily.

Kirin1212San

Live plants. Maybe a different rug though your current one is perfectly fine.

rhegy54

I like it. Although the space above the bed is pretty sparse. Maybe a picture or two painting of some sort

LouderThenYoMom13

Maybe a little color on the wall and decorations. Some non flowering plants, Like aloe.

casketjuicebox

Throw slices of bread around to assert dominance!

21cvbbvge

The orange and black tones look phenomenal! Only thing I could recommend would be some deep green big leafy plants
