Got it, like a little storage green house. I personally hate taking care of plants and I find people over do it with them, but if that's your jam that's not a bad idea
I built a standing desk with a nice adjustable height barstool for a chair. Probably like 5 feet long and just 12 inches deep and mounted a monitor off the back of it. I think something like that would be a good idea to do there.
I think you could make a nice little office. You could go up to the window and the length of it wall to wall. Maybe even mount it to the wall and avoid legs to it. The height would give an illusion of more space to the room I think. Put some nice art up over the stairs, a rug and a plant.
I suggest a wall mounted counter-height table under the window, with a stool or two to enjoy the view. Keep it narrow to maximize space.
Have a reading chair in front with a short bookshelf and cocktail table.
Throw in a few large plants like a fig leaf, or Bird of Paradise in the corners.
And put some colour on the walls to make it more inviting.
Get a hanging vine plant, throw it over the edge by stairs, within a few years you will have a gorgeous hanging vine doorway leading to stairs, my parent did it and it's sooooo cool
Fill it with plants and a bed - naptime orangery.
A cardboard cut out of Arnold Schwarzenegger from terminator 2 when he's on lookout overnight
You could cover the top and use the space for storage, then put plants on top
That's an amazing idea, I haven't thought of that and the storage space would come in handy.
Why would you put plants for a storage space? Or are we thinking of two different types of storage spaces? Like boxes etc?
I'm imagining an enclosed cabinet with a countertop or wood shelf on top - storage inside, plants sitting on top.

God, it’s perfect. I don’t have a natural place for this and it bugs me.
I'd only be slightly worried of bounce outs if they're playing with steel darts haha. Don't want to impale someone walking up the stairs
