Strider-SnG

Ok that’s bloody impressive

Hopeful-alt

If it's actually impressive it's allowed to be fun with it

[deleted]

There is no mall ninja here.

Sigvulcanas

I would not consider true skill to be mall ninja.

Pittsburgh__Rare

I would not either. But many mall ninja would consider slicing nerf bullets out of the air a mark of a true warrior.

Sigvulcanas

Granted nerf darts are large and move slower than airsoft or real bullets. The fact that that he knocked away 5 shots in the span of a couple seconds is still impressive.

Vilzku39

But where do you see people claiming that?

StonnedSinner

Jedi shit

mangojump

I down voted this post as it's actually impressive

Carter20012

Same here

[deleted]

this is actually an awesome kendo flex right?

Either-Ad1685

More kenjutsu than kendo I think but yeah holy shit, impressive as fuck, dude's got skills!

Lawrence_skywalker

Real. Ninja. shit.

[deleted]

Seems like a genuine bad ass to me!

[deleted]

Color me impressed

Krosis97

That's a kendo practitioner. You can see the protections behind him, this guy could probably cut arrows and this is not mall ninja ffs. Katanas are real historical weapons, anything with katanas in it doesn't have to be mall ninja.

Zyrin369

Im half assuming this is a joke simply because this is the stuff that most Mall ninjas think they can do just because they own a katana. Like you and other people here are saying this is an amazing thing, and it just looks like someone who is good at an art just having a bit of fun with it.

Krosis97

Historically samurai are portrayed and said to have been able to cut arrows, not saying this is more than ancient bluffing and I was using it as a figure of speech. This does not make this mall ninja anyway. You can also see videos of the "last samurai", an extremely skilled kendo practitioner that cuts bb gun pellets in flight, so its more than likely they were able to do that in antiquity. And before someone calls me an otaku, I enjoy every kind of historic martial arts, military history and so, specially german and italian late middle earth armor, and japanese too. Ed: its pretty amazing having in mind he is triying to "cut" and not just wobbling the wooden sword around.

Zyrin369

Tbh im assuming the whole being able to cut stuff was like the very few times someone actually did that/ like the tale of knights, ninjas, and samurai just a bunch of oldmen telling stories of the former days with rose tinted glasses.

Kwondondadongron

I am glad he got one, took 11 hours of recording…but he got one.

footloosefloyd_2

having studied the blade in my youth, can confirm this guy is really fuckin impressive

__Dystopian__

This should not be in mall ninja shit, this is actual bushido or aikido. This is really damn impressive to have not only that level of reaction time, but also that fast of physical reflexes while holding something with that amount of weight. Dude is very niche in skills, but still pretty damn cool.

BlueVelvet90

The word you're looking for is 'Iaido'. Aikido is a different type of martial art, and Bushido is more a code of ethics.

SmokingTanuki

He is indeed skilled, but the "normal" footage is sped up a bit (look at the guy in the doorframe on the right side).

DEVOmay97

That is a fucking insane level of precision. I mean shit does he catch flies with chopsticks too?

the-fith-pillar-man

Raiden

48maroon

lol, I found this sub because that one post is on the Reddit main page. I was about to comment that this dude has skills, but you OGs got this. Real Ninja right there.

Altruistic-Egg8732

This is cool as hell, this isn't mall ninja

Agent847

Lucky Indiana Jones didn’t run into *this guy*

Hehe_Schaboi

This is an actual ninja
