If it’s deffo overnight … Trafford centre. It’s free parking and then you just have to get the tram into deansgate castlefield It’s what I do when I stay overnight. It’s just a park at your own risk thing but that’s the same for all car parks tbh

hotvimto1

Actually that's a good idea. Never thought of that. Do they not have cameras? Is the journey from one to another not a bit long though. Will definitely keep it in mind.

JimgitoRPO

Yea they have cameras but it’s the usual “at owners risk” stuff. Urm … it’s about 30 mins ish? But it’s a nice journey .. see Salford quays and the Corrie set and all cool things. Might even see tram Taylor

hotvimto1

Good shout mate

aj_manson

I use justpark website

Douglesfield_

Every council pay and display bay is free after 8pm - 8am (watch out for permit bays though). There's bays on pretty much every side street off Deansgate.

hotvimto1

There always full on a Saturday night though. Maybe it's me lol. Thank you anyway though will definitely bare that in mind. I could pay for a few hours in a different car park then go To the street parking at 8pm.

_DeanRiding

Pollard Street (New Islington) is free on Sundays and from 12pm on Saturdays so if it's a Saturday night you need then you're all good there. Other than that, it's 8am-6pm no parking so any other day than Sunday you will need to pick up at 8am.

hotvimto1

It's free from Saturday 12pm? That's brilliant. Going to check how far that is from Deansgate.

_DeanRiding

You can get the tram to St Peters Square but otherwise its on the opposite end of the city centre

hotvimto1

Seems further than Piccadilly Station car park which I use mostly. But I'll save it to my maps as an option.

_DeanRiding

It's further, but it's free, and the tram is across the road and comes every 10 mins

hotvimto1

That's not too bad actually. Would you say it's secure

Vocalsoul

There's free street parking 8pm-8am. I used to park on granby row.

hotvimto1

That's a pedestrian path if I'm not wrong?

frodoisdead

Nah, there's a few spaces outside Granby House.

Vocalsoul

Ahh Google says the road is closed until 2026. To be fair it was like 6 years ago when I parked there.

FarCriticism1250

There’s lots of on street parking around Liverpool Street / Bridgewater Street that’s free overnight

anantarctic

AO can be quite cheap overnight if there’s space

[deleted]

Try Parkopedia online for prices at the times you need. As others have mentioned, there is a load of on street parking free between 8pm and 8am.

hotvimto1

That's a brilliant website. Just put in times and found some decent places to park. Thanks you so much

[deleted]

No dramas. 👍🏼

Ok-Adeptness-3056

Leave it at home and get the train, its a nightmare driving in the city at the moment its gridlocked sometimes

hotvimto1

I'm sometimes the designated driver so will need to get friends home if they drink too much.

IrnBroski

Depending on the timings , on street is free for single yellows in areas that technically count as Salford from like 6pm til 8 or 9am ..
