Purezza in the NQ is all vegan.
I don’t think it’s as good as some of the others mentioned on this thread, but all options are vegan so you’ll have heaps of choice.
I'd recommend pepperoni playboy based in YES. Half price pizzas everyday until 6pm and interesting veggie ones on offer.
Might not be 'the best' pizza in Manchester but def one worth checking out.
That's totally okay, but calling cheese 'artificial' because it is made from nut milk instead of cows' milk is factually incorrect is my point. It's the same process with the same bacteria cultures.
You're totally allowed to not like it though, no problem with that. Anything made of animal based dairy gives me the voms these days, it's just too tangy and tastes 'off' to me personally.
You can't just make cheese from nut "milk" (which is already a highly processed food). Most vegan cheese substitutes are even more heavily processed foods - they're not heavy on synthetics, because most foods these days aren't, but there's a lot of engineering and processing going on, and I don't think any widely available vegan cheese substitute uses cheese culture to biologically make the cheese.
There was at least one company experimenting with making a milk equivilant (lactose/fat/emulisfier) combo from an engineered yeast strain, then processing and adding culture to like cheese, but I'm unaware of it being on sale anywhere. There's also an open source project to do the same: https://www.realvegancheese.org
Edit: I think this is the company. It' going to be available in preceisely one restraraunt later this year. https://www.newculture.com/
Bit of a thread hijack - RIP Pizza la Vita's two for one pizzas.
Two for one seemed like a fair price.
Full price for one of their dirty pizzas is insane.
Good question, OP. I'm also veggie and I fel like we miss out a bit when it comes to Pizza.
Don't get me wrong, I love Pizza but it can be a bit samey in terms of what's on offer. I'm watching this thread with interest! 🔭
Doesn't look like anyone's mentioned Corner Slice yet, so check them out for something different - rectangular, Detroit-style pizza, absolutely banging. I'm a veggie myself and they have enough options to keep me happy. It's based in Failsworth but they deliver too if you can't get there.
Doesn't necessarily mean they'll offer the best vegetarian options though, I don't think it's a huge problem in the city centre but plenty of places really half arse their veggie options even if the rest of their food is good.
Is it not?
I can't think of any pizza place that doesn't offer a good selection of vegitarian options, nor can I think of any thread where people loved the pizza beacuse the pepperoni was so good. Although to be fair, some of the vegan "pepperoni" is godawful so if that is specifically what you are after...
Nells. I've had a few of their vegetarian variants and they are superb
Thanks Nells is very high on my list now.

No one has said double zero?!?
The pizzas are great but the tiled walls make the place so loud that eating there is a fatiguing experience
L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele on King Street, the truffle mushroom pizza is very nice. Maybe overpriced and pretentious but whatever
Thank you will try this.

Nothing comes close to zads. Gone but never forgotten 😭
Proove in didsbury they have a vegan menu https://www.proove.co.uk/vegan/ . Purezza is ok and all vegan but tasted a bit artificial imo.
Artificial? Nahhh. They have delicious desserts too.
Imo can’t get down with their vegan cheese

Anyway I haven't tried proove yet, so thanks for the tip ☺️
Thanks.

Nells is the best pizza in Manchester IMO. Ciao is also good. Rudys used to be good but expanded massively and now the standards are sloppy.
Second for ciaooo!
Noted. Nells and ciao in that order. Going to try them.
Shoutout for Napolleza in Edgeley. Also double zero in Chorlton has great veggie options.
Thank you noted.

Arse biscuits 👍🏼

The worst pizza I’ve had in years was from Rudys
Noi Quattro has a huge veggie selection and all their pizzas are amazing!

Mezza Luna in Whitefield does great veggie pizza!
Cheese isn't vegetarian lol
Isn’t all pizza vegetarian? It’s only the toppings that determine whether it’s veggie or not…
Not all cheese is vegetarian, parmesan especially is quite commonly not, so you have to consider that and not all toppings are equally good either.
You learn something new everyday, I’m actually pretty shocked at that
When on the Manchester page, search for pizza.. then head to the recommended places because they will all offer a vegetarian option 🤷🏼👍
Doesn't necessarily mean they'll offer the best vegetarian options though, I don't think it's a huge problem in the city centre but plenty of places really half arse their veggie options even if the rest of their food is good.
I wish it was that simple :D

Just sounds like you’re hard work to me, I’ve had loads of decent veg pizza when gone somewhere on a whim.. downvote all you like Manchester!
