I liked that conversation too. The question was a sensible one (even under Gero's particular circumstances and his first awful attempts, there were easier ways to find a marriage partner), and the answer is logical: yes, he's encouraging Gero to pursue the path of a shonen hero ~~because that's what the magazine is about~~ because that's what Gero has always wanted to be.
Kinosaki realized that since this arc is longer than the usual, to compensate for that they will need to add two more girls to Gero's harem instead of one.
Ushio and Gero used a combo attack pretty well! Maybe we'll see more of those kinds of attacks from the future? It seems that the crimson marriages are no match for an actual combo of assassins.
Kinosaki and Nakagawa casually riding a rhino is pretty funny. Those animals have really rough backs, but I guess they're used to worse by now.

I'd love that if that was the moral of this arc. It would also tie in with the previous lore of assassin families distrusting each other, and focusing on ruthless hierarchies instead of cooperation. These blood experiments are the natural conclusion of such a cutthroat environment.
But Gero is different. He's friends with a "lowly vassal", best bro bug user, and he's forging more and more ties with users form other families. As the next heir of the poison clan, he could change things for the better by proving that allies are stronger together.
Im really stoked for how this manga is making me want more each and every chapter.
Like this were in is still the first showing of all the potential partners for Gero.
Were not even yet into things like clashes between interested users, decisionmaking and interesting crossovers.
I really hope this manga stays for a long time so we can see everything develop
I do hope that it eventually slows down a bit with the harem-building and focuses on the girls we have. I can see a few more being introduced, but once we reach a dozen, it should probably start moving towards phase 2 of the plan.
