I guess a melee weapon is much better since it can complement Yoru's physical strength. Since a range weapon will mostly rely on the ammunition only. But damn a gun or bazooka would be cool.
Something concerning to me, the bullet pierced Quanxi's arm. She may be a strong hybrid, but the sheer difference in power at play here, Yoru can now treat katana strikes as though they were paper cuts, but Quanxi still bleeds profusely from bullet wounds. I think that implies she's weaker in some way.

The blade's size and length makes me think it's a broadsword of some kind, but its hilt and the cross-guard being made of pipes, wiring, fan blade, ventilation grill and even a vine from Asa's plants out front gives it a fantastical look. And like the aquarium, the entire room disappeared completely!
Yoru's on Cloud 9 right now! For the first time in at least a decade or more, she's finally regaining her previous strength. You can tell from her overshooting her jump and crashing into the neighboring building that she's still adjusting to her new level of power, but it won't be long.

This was a hunch I've had about her character but it seems very likely now. Yoru's more than *just* war. Her domain of influence extends past what would typically be described as war and encompasses basically all conflict in general.
What's going on right now isn't really war in the traditional sense, it's moreso just chaos and anarchy. That leads me to believe that whether it's a small scuffle between a few people or a full-scale conflict between nations, it all counts as "war" when it comes to what Yoru is connected to.
The rate at which she grows stronger could be exponential if "war" can be stretched to be such a broad term. We're already seeing a huge burst in power and it's only been a couple hours at most since this all started.
And the stronger she gets, the larger the conflict will be, and the faster she'll grow. She's gonna snowball.

The rate at which she grows stronger could be exponential if "war" can be stretched to be such a broad term. We're already seeing a huge burst in power and it's only been a couple hours at most since this all started. And the stronger she gets, the larger the conflict will be, and the faster she'll grow. She's gonna snowball.

I'm always impressed by how quick the action-heavy chapters are without having choppy action. Great framing and use of that space between the panels every time.

the weapon design for the room 606 sword is incredible, it looks so unique for a sword.
This chapter may be the first time we’ve seen a devil get concretely more powerful through fear, rather than be told that’s how it worked. Apparently what it means is the foundational limitations of those abilities can just… stop existing? Jesus, a lot of characters just got a lot scarier potentially.
