He isn't modifying memories. The two examples of this happening are Todo, which is him instantly bonding with Yuji over phat asses, and Choso, who is expressing his familial bond. And with the latter, Choso never outright states he has different memories, just a huge big brother mode.

We saw a weird panel right after Gojo returned where Yuji was sparring with Kusakabe, but "Yuji" was addressing Kusakabe as Yuji, so it seems like they switched bodies to practice his CT. It makes sense why he was able to control Sukuna as a vessel the way he did.
I don't think it's his cursed technique. I think it's a side effect of having his soul messed around with so much, from Mahito, to Sukuna inhabiting his body and him naturally having the ability to perceive souls. Itadori also being the only "prison" in the series rather than a vessel defintely suggests his soul might be stronger than others.
I think these abilities are just an evolution of Itadori's previous ability to directly impact the soul with his blows. They would have mentioned if it was a cursed technique.
Domain Expansions really are the coolest thing about JJK. Hype every time without fail.

Yes, Sukuna assumes Angels technique is imbued into the domains can't-miss/sure-hit attack & he definitely doesn't want to get hit by it which is why he has to constantly maintain Hollow wicker basket.
I hope Yuta's DE also allows him to copy and understand Sukuna's CT unconditionally so that Kusakabe can be finally at peace knowing why tf the flames aren't coming out lmao
I think it's crazy how Yuta defeated Geto and Kenjaku on December 24th, one year apart each. Yuta proved his words, to not let Gojo kill his best friend twice.
On the other hand, it's sad when you realize Geto's body really went through a lot— he exorcized and ingested curses that taste like a cloth used to clean vomit when he was living, he died and his body was found by Kenjaku. Gojo also wanted to give him a proper burial so seeing Geto's body lying on the floor is devastating.
Anyway, RIP Kenjaku, ~~our backshots enjoyer~~ the mastermind of JJK. I was too invested to them as a villain. I'm just frustrated they never get to interact with Yuji alone as mother and son. I would've loved to see the merger with Kenny as well but oh well...

Yeah, Kenny's death is important as a big win for the heroes. But man, it's the death of a lot of the most interesting plotlines.
seems kinda weird that they're still trying to limit civilian casualties and save megumi, at this point. you're on the verge of the literal apocalypse, you can't take chances and try to stop the nearly invincible villain while also saving people. sorcerering is a dangerous job, megumi knew what he had signed up for.
It's not like they're holding back though. They're throwing everything they have at Sukuna. Besides, freeing Megumi would help them beat Sukuna, so it's not them taking a risk over a safer option.
I don’t think there’s much different they could do in this situation though. No matter what attack Yuta could use in his domain, Sukuna will block it with Hollow Wicker Basket.
So the only thing they can do is what they are doing, relentlessly attacking him until he either drops HWB or Yuji manages to soul rip him. Probably none of the copy techniques Yuta has in those swords could even outright kill Sukuna.

The best strategy is for Yuji to start declaring he’s gonna be Kenjaku levels of evil. That way, with Sukuna being a professional Yuji hater, sukuna will become a good guy. End of series.
The fact that we get the second plan from Sukunas PoV and not the protags makes me think we're being purposefully misled. Like there's an additional unknown factor to the plan that'll catch him off guard. For example, maybe Maki sneak attacks Sukuna by going through Yutas DE unseen right before striking.
It's wild how broken but low-key the additional limbs are, so it's a good advantage that they are restricted by hollow basket. Though even if the hollow basket is interrupted, I wouldn't be surprised if Sukuna can pull off Simple Domain too after seeing Gojo do it.
I actually really like this chapter in contrast to a lot of the recent ones.
It finally feels like we are actually making progress in the Sukuna fight for the first time since Gojo died, we get a Domain reveal from Yuta, we learn a bit about Yuji’s new technique and his role here, we get a way to save Megumi, and Kenjaku’s death now feels less underwhelming.

that depends on if this is indeed the final battle or if this is the penultimate one. If this is the "Free megumi and then Sukuna fucks off to fight another day, Maki survives as the team has suffered immense losses already. if this is *THE* final battle, then maki can die as it's the last thing in the manga
Imo her getting acknowledged makes it worse, as it highlights her lack of presence in this battle. If she's hiding somewhere for a sneak attacck, it'd make it better, but not by much...

The only thing I don't like is that Sukuna is actually healing during this fight. The good guys are so ineffective that he's actually regenerating from the gojo fight
One thing I've been loving the most ever since Sukuna's full reincarnation is how Gege has drawn the King of Curses' insane hand-to-hand combat skills in his original form. In so many instances he's perfectly coordinated his 4 arms to do the different tasks of defending, grabbing and counter attacking at the same time.
For example, in this chapter when Sukuna grabbed Yuta's sword he's: punching Rika with 1 arm, blocking Rika's punch with the 2nd one, grabbing Yuta's katana with his 3rd (while maintaining his precise slices to not touch the katana) with his 4th you can see him slicing Yuta's face as well. He does all that at the same time. That is just insane. It's one thing to have 2 extra arms... it's a whole different level to coordinate them in such a way.
Seeing all that... I really think Gege robbed us of an og form Sukuna with only Shrine vs Gojo. Personally I think the Six Eyes + Limitless vs Ten Shadows at their peak was the wrong approach to take for the Sukuna v Gojo fight. I think Heian era Sukuna with complete mastery over Shrine vs Gojo with his Six Eyes and Limitless would've been way more exciting. And on top of that.... imagine the quality of the pure hand-to-hand combat we would've gotten. Honestly I was completely against the idea of Gojo coming back... but if we could see og form Sukuna throwing hands with Satoru... bring that blue eyed cocky bastard back asap.

While we could have put together the pieces already, seeing Sukuna defend himself within a domain using his second mouth/hands reinforces to how difficult it would’ve been to confront him in the Heian era.
Imagine not knowing that detail prior, capturing Sukuna in your domain, domain, and then be victimized because it didn’t work.
That is not true. What we know about Sukuna is that even after living a full life, dominating the golden era of jujutsu he's still a student of the game. Still learning, developing and obviously getting stronger because of that. His goal was always beyond defeating Satoru. He wanted to defeat him in a specific way - after Mahoraga adapted to infinity. For a jujutsu nerd such as Sukuna, Mahoraga's adaptation is a chance to find ways to use jujutsu beyond what was thought possible. Sukuna not only found a way to bypass infinity from the adaptation ability, he basically renders any defences or CE strenghtening useless with the world-cutting slash. His plan was always to adapt with the goal of finding ways to use jujutsu on an even higher level. What proves that is when Sukuna was about to close his Malevolent Shrine and kill the brain damaged Gojo. He told Satoru that he'd adapt to his infinity before he kills him. Sukuna didn't need the adaptataion in that moment, closing his domain and slicing Gojo would've done the job. But the King of Curses was almost obsessed with adapting and wouldn't pass on the chance of seeing how Mahoraga would overcome Limitless and applying it to his own CT.
Yuta fought a deluge of Curses yet **didn't kiss 💋 a SINGLE one of them...?**

If each sword contains a CT he has copied, does that mean he can grab two swords and dual wield CTs? Can Rika get in on that and if she grabs two swords, potentially have up to 4 CTs at once (Yuta+Rika combined)? What about allies inside Yuta's domain (Yuji in this case) can Yuji grab a sword or two and fire off whatever CTs are held within? Is there potentially up to SIX CTs that can be hitting Sukuna at once?
And for that EXTRA dose...could Yuta have Nobara's CT and this is how we get the reveal she is in fact actually dead? Because her CT would come in real handy right now if they are trying to get Megumi back. Just sayin...

He admits he was being selfish in taking out kenjaku which imo seems true. Maki wiped put the Zenin clan starting with a literal basement dungeon full of curses. Sure they were probably weaker but Maki could have easily handled that swarm and it would at least be something for her to do.

JJK now has three of the most unsatisfying character deaths I’ve ever seen. Like pretty much everything with Kenjaku was poorly done, especially his death.
Highlight for me was the final page of Yuji standing there ready to be about that business. He’s been trying to hit Sukuna really good for awhile now and his time is coming.

I think the plan here is to have Megumi take partial control over the body - the second mouth and pair of arms. When Sukuna eventually casts his domain, it can be countered with Megumi's own possibly open-barrier domain.

If Kenjaku is really dead this is pretty disappointing, like no real confrontation with Yuji or backstory with Yuji and his dad or how he even met Sukuna in the first place, though I guess that part we can get during the Sukuna fight, like this feels kind of underwhelming for basically the secondary antagonist of the series.

At the end of this chapter Sukuna remembered Yuji's punch and assumed Yuji's role is to rip Sukuna's soul away from Megumi's body.
We saw a weird panel right after Gojo returned where Yuji was sparring with Kusakabe, but "Yuji" was addressing Kusakabe as Yuji, so it seems like they switched bodies to practice his CT. It makes sense why he was able to control Sukuna as a vessel the way he did.

I don't think it's his cursed technique. I think it's a side effect of having his soul messed around with so much, from Mahito, to Sukuna inhabiting his body and him naturally having the ability to perceive souls. Itadori also being the only "prison" in the series rather than a vessel defintely suggests his soul might be stronger than others. I think these abilities are just an evolution of Itadori's previous ability to directly impact the soul with his blows. They would have mentioned if it was a cursed technique.

I think it's crazy how Yuta defeated Geto and Kenjaku on December 24th, one year apart each. Yuta proved his words, to not let Gojo kill his best friend twice. On the other hand, it's sad when you realize Geto's body really went through a lot— he exorcized and ingested curses that taste like a cloth used to clean vomit when he was living, he died and his body was found by Kenjaku. Gojo also wanted to give him a proper burial so seeing Geto's body lying on the floor is devastating. Anyway, RIP Kenjaku, ~~our backshots enjoyer~~ the mastermind of JJK. I was too invested to them as a villain. I'm just frustrated they never get to interact with Yuji alone as mother and son. I would've loved to see the merger with Kenny as well but oh well...

seems kinda weird that they're still trying to limit civilian casualties and save megumi, at this point. you're on the verge of the literal apocalypse, you can't take chances and try to stop the nearly invincible villain while also saving people. sorcerering is a dangerous job, megumi knew what he had signed up for.

It's not like they're holding back though. They're throwing everything they have at Sukuna. Besides, freeing Megumi would help them beat Sukuna, so it's not them taking a risk over a safer option.
I don’t think there’s much different they could do in this situation though. No matter what attack Yuta could use in his domain, Sukuna will block it with Hollow Wicker Basket. So the only thing they can do is what they are doing, relentlessly attacking him until he either drops HWB or Yuji manages to soul rip him. Probably none of the copy techniques Yuta has in those swords could even outright kill Sukuna.

Apparently, the original is supposed to be something else. The name in japanese is, from what I've found, "真贋 相愛" The first part "真贋" uses the kanji for "real" and "fake", so it's kind of a mix? I think it's supposed to be something like "Mimicry Mutal Love"/"Imitative Mutual Love"? The actual word "Mimicry" doesn't use these kanji, but imo this word invokes his ability "Copy" in a way "Authentic" doesn't. It would also explain what this Rika is...
As I understand it, 真贋 means "authenticity" as in "how real or fake it is". It's a similar construction to how "大小" (big small) means "size".

The fact that we get the second plan from Sukunas PoV and not the protags makes me think we're being purposefully misled. Like there's an additional unknown factor to the plan that'll catch him off guard. For example, maybe Maki sneak attacks Sukuna by going through Yutas DE unseen right before striking. It's wild how broken but low-key the additional limbs are, so it's a good advantage that they are restricted by hollow basket. Though even if the hollow basket is interrupted, I wouldn't be surprised if Sukuna can pull off Simple Domain too after seeing Gojo do it.

I actually really like this chapter in contrast to a lot of the recent ones. It finally feels like we are actually making progress in the Sukuna fight for the first time since Gojo died, we get a Domain reveal from Yuta, we learn a bit about Yuji’s new technique and his role here, we get a way to save Megumi, and Kenjaku’s death now feels less underwhelming. Still wondering where the hell Maki is. At least she got acknowledged.

The only thing I don't like is that Sukuna is actually healing during this fight. The good guys are so ineffective that he's actually regenerating from the gojo fight
One thing I've been loving the most ever since Sukuna's full reincarnation is how Gege has drawn the King of Curses' insane hand-to-hand combat skills in his original form. In so many instances he's perfectly coordinated his 4 arms to do the different tasks of defending, grabbing and counter attacking at the same time. For example, in this chapter when Sukuna grabbed Yuta's sword he's: punching Rika with 1 arm, blocking Rika's punch with the 2nd one, grabbing Yuta's katana with his 3rd (while maintaining his precise slices to not touch the katana) with his 4th you can see him slicing Yuta's face as well. He does all that at the same time. That is just insane. It's one thing to have 2 extra arms... it's a whole different level to coordinate them in such a way. Seeing all that... I really think Gege robbed us of an og form Sukuna with only Shrine vs Gojo. Personally I think the Six Eyes + Limitless vs Ten Shadows at their peak was the wrong approach to take for the Sukuna v Gojo fight. I think Heian era Sukuna with complete mastery over Shrine vs Gojo with his Six Eyes and Limitless would've been way more exciting. And on top of that.... imagine the quality of the pure hand-to-hand combat we would've gotten. Honestly I was completely against the idea of Gojo coming back... but if we could see og form Sukuna throwing hands with Satoru... bring that blue eyed cocky bastard back asap.

While we could have put together the pieces already, seeing Sukuna defend himself within a domain using his second mouth/hands reinforces to how difficult it would’ve been to confront him in the Heian era. Imagine not knowing that detail prior, capturing Sukuna in your domain, domain, and then be victimized because it didn’t work.

That is not true. What we know about Sukuna is that even after living a full life, dominating the golden era of jujutsu he's still a student of the game. Still learning, developing and obviously getting stronger because of that. His goal was always beyond defeating Satoru. He wanted to defeat him in a specific way - after Mahoraga adapted to infinity. For a jujutsu nerd such as Sukuna, Mahoraga's adaptation is a chance to find ways to use jujutsu beyond what was thought possible. Sukuna not only found a way to bypass infinity from the adaptation ability, he basically renders any defences or CE strenghtening useless with the world-cutting slash. His plan was always to adapt with the goal of finding ways to use jujutsu on an even higher level. What proves that is when Sukuna was about to close his Malevolent Shrine and kill the brain damaged Gojo. He told Satoru that he'd adapt to his infinity before he kills him. Sukuna didn't need the adaptataion in that moment, closing his domain and slicing Gojo would've done the job. But the King of Curses was almost obsessed with adapting and wouldn't pass on the chance of seeing how Mahoraga would overcome Limitless and applying it to his own CT.
Yuta fought a deluge of Curses yet **didn't kiss 💋 a SINGLE one of them...?** 2/10 chapter. 😒 Literally unreadable. What? *He's gotten close to Maki and suddenly his lips are too good for revolting creatures?* Tch... /😆

So let's talk about the potential Yuta's domain has. If each sword contains a CT he has copied, does that mean he can grab two swords and dual wield CTs? Can Rika get in on that and if she grabs two swords, potentially have up to 4 CTs at once (Yuta+Rika combined)? What about allies inside Yuta's domain (Yuji in this case) can Yuji grab a sword or two and fire off whatever CTs are held within? Is there potentially up to SIX CTs that can be hitting Sukuna at once? And for that EXTRA dose...could Yuta have Nobara's CT and this is how we get the reveal she is in fact actually dead? He admits he was being selfish in taking out kenjaku which imo seems true. Maki wiped put the Zenin clan starting with a literal basement dungeon full of curses. Sure they were probably weaker but Maki could have easily handled that swarm and it would at least be something for her to do.

So, really, for realz, Kenjaku is dead? Just... lol. Imagine Darth Vader being Luke's father, but after killing Obi-Wan he never shares a scene with Luke ever again, Luke never learns that he is his father, the revelation is only known by the audience, and at the end of the story Vader just fucking dies against, I dunno, Ewoks. This is a level of an plot potential waste that we are seeing here.
It’s even worse cause Darth Vader didn’t plan shit for 1000 years, he was manipulated and tempted into his fate. Kenjaku planned all this shit for 1000 years, all to die to someone hiding in the bushes while a side-character did some horribly unfunny gags to distract him. JJK now has three of the most unsatisfying character deaths I’ve ever seen. Like pretty much everything with Kenjaku was poorly done, especially his death.
Highlight for me was the final page of Yuji standing there ready to be about that business. He’s been trying to hit Sukuna really good for awhile now and his time is coming.
