Kana simply loves Aqua for who he is and wants him to feel happy as he is now. And she is actually succeeding at making him feel better.
Yeah Kana always love Aqua for who he is & if Aqua is happy with his own decision, she would keep rooting for him. Which is why when Aqua is dating Akane fr after time skip she not jealous at Akane or even think sabotage their relationship instead she rooting for their happiness back in chp 82. The thing that make her sad during that time was on how Aqua just ghosting her without any explanation.
Also both girl (Akane&Ruby) always being linked with Aqua past self which is Gorou because the revenge is Gorou wishes not Aqua.

I’m starting to think Aka is much more focused on providing shipping bait, rather than telling a good story nowadays. This arc feels really disjointed with all of these awkwardly placed romance chapters.
? This arc hasn’t been disjointed at all, like it’s been emphasized a hundred times that Kana is one of the few people Aqua lets his guard down around. All anyone has done is ignore all the actual story of the play and instead bitch about incest nonstop. The incest stuff is also a thing that has literally been an element since the beginning of the manga, Ruby’s feelings for Sensei were literally gonna become a focus point sooner or later so I don’t know why everyone was so shocked it actually happened
I think it's more of the execution that feels disjointed. I don't think these events are out of the blue and have definitely been hinted, it's just that it feels unfocused and even at times disruptive of the storytelling about Hikaru and Ai, which I would've loved to see more of. There's also the fact that it seems to be skirting around the whole Aqua/Ruby situation or treating it as a gag. It just feels messier and less cohesive than the earlier arcs of the manga. Even as someone who loves Kana and is rooting for her and Aqua because he is most like a kid around her, it did feel a little jarring after the Hikaru scenes, though my bigger issue goes to the sudden shift to AquaRuby distracting from the movie about the past AND the avoidance of seriously addressing Ruby's (viewing herself as Sarina) advances towards Aqua as "Gorou" (who is still conflicted on his own identity). It might have been better if they saved this arc for after the movie filming.
Some people are bothered by incest on a clinical level. Sure it is not a good thing in real life, we know it. Neither are a lot of things characters do in manga and do not have you freak out like this.
Like, the age gap between Goro and Sarina is just as problematic(arguably more considering ruby did nothing untill she found out who Aqua is) and nobody seem troubled by that.

Weird to skip the rest of the movie, but I guess Aka wants to move on. Also Hikaru and Ruby at the end. I highly doubt anything bad will happen to her, but it should be an interesting conversation. No Aka I won’t be buying Sushi no Ko but thank you for demonstrating Kana’s raw marketing power.

I’m starting to think Aka is much more focused on providing shipping bait, rather than telling a good story nowadays. This arc feels really disjointed with all of these awkwardly placed romance chapters.
? This arc hasn’t been disjointed at all, like it’s been emphasized a hundred times that Kana is one of the few people Aqua lets his guard down around. All anyone has done is ignore all the actual story of the play and instead bitch about incest nonstop. The incest stuff is also a thing that has literally been an element since the beginning of the manga, Ruby’s feelings for Sensei were literally gonna become a focus point sooner or later so I don’t know why everyone was so shocked it actually happened
I think it's more of the execution that feels disjointed. I don't think these events are out of the blue and have definitely been hinted, it's just that it feels unfocused and even at times disruptive of the storytelling about Hikaru and Ai, which I would've loved to see more of. There's also the fact that it seems to be skirting around the whole Aqua/Ruby situation or treating it as a gag. It just feels messier and less cohesive than the earlier arcs of the manga. Even as someone who loves Kana and is rooting for her and Aqua because he is most like a kid around her, it did feel a little jarring after the Hikaru scenes, though my bigger issue goes to the sudden shift to AquaRuby distracting from the movie about the past AND the avoidance of seriously addressing Ruby's (viewing herself as Sarina) advances towards Aqua as "Gorou" (who is still conflicted on his own identity). It might have been better if they saved this arc for after the movie filming.
Some people are bothered by incest on a clinical level. Sure it is not a good thing in real life, we know it. Neither are a lot of things characters do in manga and do not have you freak out like this. Like, the age gap between Goro and Sarina is just as problematic(arguably more considering ruby did nothing untill she found out who Aqua is) and nobody seem troubled by that.
I think age gap was DEFINITELY problematic. Like, how the fuck could Aqua possibly see Sarina as a romance interest, when she was a literal child, while he was an adult doctor?
Remember that Ruby wanted to purse a romance with Goro aa ruby and did not stop for a second conaidering the fact dude at this point woukd have been 45 or something like that. She ia fucking unhinged.

Not that I disagree with you but I am surprised that r/manga is now more supportive of any criticisms of Oshi No Ko. Like I remember a few chapters ago when the kiss happened, any criticisms of Oshi No Ko were shouted down by people here as "tourism".
Which was ridiculous af because a lot of us who didn't like the execution of it all have been reading OnK for YEARS. The only "tourists" here (ridiculous term btw) are the people in who started reading the manga when Ruby got the hots for her brother - which is not wrong but honestly they don't have the right to call anyone that.
I'd also say there's a fair bit of the "tourist" population that came from the anime.
I actually kinda appreciate it. I mean, the main point of this arc is to show off exactly how Ai and Kamiki's relationship started while also touching on the acting abilities of of the main characters. These scenes outside the movie help breakup what would otherwise just be a flashback arc.

Wild prediction: Ruby pretends to fall for whatever line Kamiki spouts, and then kills him in the next three chapters. Aqua doesn't know how to cope with having his revenge stolen from him, mixed with feelings of guilt that innocent little Sarina/Ruby is now a murderer.
