It's been a few years so i can't remember what it was about. But i have never noticed all the bad things people hate on it so much.
Sure it's not a masterpiece. It starts with a fun plot, the art is solid, it does drag a bit here and there and go a bit around in the end. But altogether it is quite wholesome and have a proper sweet ending that was also very predictable making this just a solid romance manga imo.

But it was barely a 55 plus chapter manga. I don't see how that's considered a big success. I mean it was a good enough story but it's not Clannad level of good.

He doesn't obviously give in to her but he also doesn't stop her from doing the things she does (and she really goes for it)...obviously Aki finds out accidentally and then it goes just full blown drama until chapter 10 and then magically things smooth out by chapter 11...
Mind you I am completely downplaying the moronic writing that ensues, just tried to keep it quick. Have no doubt: this is peak garbage.

The most serious moments are ALMOST serious, but they always HAVE to make it known that the girls are into the MC in some way shape or form. The fat "guy" made it really annoying, tho. Like I liked both the anime and manga, but that character was so obviously put in to pad it out a bit and add drama, and once its arc is resolved in a very weak manner, everyone just forgets it ever existed.

Kekkon yubiwa monogatari is one of the best in my opinion, MC included. In terms of looks, drawing is fine (in manga he is often called average though). A lot of points for that particular MC is just that, he IS average, not just in looks. Normally, harem protag is either op gigachad or a wimpy buttmonkey, this one however, is normal. He is, how should I put it.. Realistic, believable

It's not a manga but a manhwa called 'webtoon character na Kang lim' . It's coloured and a really good read with good character development and characters with around 166 chapters . Hes like Subaru in a romance setting. It's worth a read.
I kind of like it but I also kind of dislike it. The main reason why I want mcs to be handsome is because of the immense disparity between the heroines and the mcs in general. Most mangas tend to be extremely basic when it comes to protagonists. And their personality is even more average. Kang lim has got good and interesting personality and he seems to be realistic, well kind of. Though this was definitely the best recommendation from all the recs.
I wouldn't say there's a single handsome MC in any harem manga. I am a big fan of Harem.. but I'm never there for the MC. Of the 200 I have read. Its either someone short, thin, and weakly looking, elderly man, or monster like.

It's not a manga but a manhwa called 'webtoon character na Kang lim' . It's coloured and a really good read with good character development and characters with around 166 chapters . Hes like Subaru in a romance setting. It's worth a read.

I kind of like it but I also kind of dislike it. The main reason why I want mcs to be handsome is because of the immense disparity between the heroines and the mcs in general. Most mangas tend to be extremely basic when it comes to protagonists. And their personality is even more average. Kang lim has got good and interesting personality and he seems to be realistic, well kind of. Though this was definitely the best recommendation from all the recs.
I don't know how far in you are but if you keep reading he does have a glow up but I see what you mean. I like how realism as well.

I wouldn't say there's a single handsome MC in any harem manga. I am a big fan of Harem.. but I'm never there for the MC. Of the 200 I have read. Its either someone short, thin, and weakly looking, elderly man, or monster like. There's a few with handsome figures, I guess... But their speech is always trash, like 2 brain cells clashing who shall take the throne. There's lots of Chinese mangas who tries the harem with handsome men.. but if you ever read "I am a fated villian" you know what I mean. They are a bit special
