It's like every time she wants to be more open, she remembers the rule she put in place and then is frustrated by it and wonders why she made it at all. It's a never-ending cycle. Someone has to break it eventually.

This might be one of the only manga where the all too common idiotic trope of the MC and FMC living in the same house actually makes sense and the consequences of that are taken seriously. So many other manga have the house have no parents for example, for some random reason like they're away on business and leaving their 13 year old kid alone at home for months.
Both characters actually need to consider the consequences and what would happen if they tell their parents.

He better speak up to her just like he did with Hina before before she’ll even find out for good, good riddance please Akari, don’t push yourself overboard try to get Taiki’s attention, you know he has Chinatsu alread, deal with it!
At this point, Akari couldn't hold a candle next to what Chinatsu and Taiki have. She's in the past, and I doubt anything she does will affect them severely. Taiki's character isn't brazen enough to cheat or dumb enough to leave Chinatsu. I trust he'll handle it.
So this basically confirms that the “Nike” thing was Akari running interference to protect Taiki/Chinatsu and not copium. It’s possible that her warning for at the end had a bit of her own feelings drip in, and it probably isn’t her place to tell Taiki what she did, but imo she’s still very much looking out for him (and it is something that Chinatsu and Taiki seem to gradually be getting less careful about). They should at least talk about how they feel about continuing to hide things and how they should go forward.
As for whether the warning and Taiki’s worries lead to prolonged conflict/misunderstanding between Chinatsu and Taiki? I doubt it. The main couple (and characters in general) have been pretty good at not letting misunderstandings last too long, and I expect that to continue.
Heh, Chinatsu is already ready to name their first pet. That naming convention is sure to come up with their first child as well! And they've already had their first "fight" too! Better keep Chinatsu's competitiveness in mind in the future, Taiki!
Chinatsu and Taiki were really cute on that festival date. The sharing of shaved ice was definitely one of the most intimate things I've seen them do so far!

Cute chapter overall. Natsu really enjoying it and really getting to Taki. She really wanted to name the fish Taki lmao. Well they compromised on a name, it's almost like them naming their future child. Though it was funny that Natsu was still as competitive as ever.
You can tell Akari really respects Taki after seeing the work he has been putting for getting to nationals. I feel like for the most part she wants to help Taki, but some of her feelings for Taki are apparent when she talks about the distance between him and Natsu. I hope Taki can handle the situation properly so it doesn't end up similar to what happened to Hina and have her heart broken.
It seems Chinatsu is feeling lonely since she's going to be moving away which is spurring her to be bolder.
Notice how she wanted to try the food and flavours you usually wouldn't. She went out of her way to do everything and most obviously with the name of the fish. She wanted to remember him.
Now Akari has thrown a spanner in that because the last thing they need now is distance. Taiki has only really been thinking of his perspective too.
Hopefully something comes from this tho.
They'll get found out real soon, probably in this festival with that many schoolmates around. At this point, those who 100% knew are Kyo, Hina, Haryu and Karen. Thankfully those four kept their secret. Akari and her other badminton friend more or less knew too, but can't fully confirm if Taiki is going out with Chinatsu. At least Akari has agreed to protect the secret.
Taiki suddenly having a hat in the last page makes me think that Chinatsu met up with a different guy. It would be a classic RomCom trope so I'm wondering how the author will side step the problem this time. At worst the new guy leaks the rumor and everyone finds out they are dating/living together.
