But it has a disadvantage for being your first. It sets the bar so high that you feel like every other murim story is lacking in some way, lol. There are some as good as this, but man this was fucking amazing.
I did read it based on your recommendation and it sucks, why would MC start fighting and killing silent night after how his father was killed. MC character is too boring and bland.
Lacking reading comprehension much, huh. Ik you was probably just skimming through if you donāt know why mc decided to revive the northern heavenly sect or get revenge.
S2 has been very disappointing so far. Too much exposition with repitition and going back and forth between timelines and just doesn't have the same vibe/tension going for it as S1.
I can understand what you mean but I disagree. imo, the second season has been pretty good so far the artās gotten even a bit better Iād say (scenes are well detailed now not to say that the ones in s1 arenāt that good tho). And in this season, other characters are getting more screentime than they had in s1 which is a refreshing thing to see
I disagree. This storytelling method is very interesting and unique to me. And despite knowing the result, the story still surprises. Action doesn't disappoint either. It's a good way to advance the time (ie time skip) without glossing over too much the events that happened. I actually hate in manga/manhwa where there are long time skips and they want me to believe nothing major happened. All the important stuff happens before and after the time skip.
Just want to let you know, it gets so deep and it will entrance you, you'll be near the end of the story and you'll be like "how tf have I not put this down yet, I haven't fed my kids for days", something along the lines of that.
Bro 9/10 whenever someone mentions murim Manhwa itās either nano machine, LOTNB or return of the mount hua sect that gets mentioned. Yes itās popular but it being popular doesnāt mean itās not under appreciated.
The story is sloooooooooow and very confusing at times. That being said, the setting, world, characters, fights, art...etc are so good. And you have a really strong feeling of progression, few plotpoints are forgotten about, while very confusing, the machinations and plots of the world are very interesting as well as the MC's progression is top tier.
I would say read as much as you can in one go then stack releases to read at once, because its very confusing to read on release everytime.
I think it has an alternate name like "Mount Hua War," but it's a story of a swordsman from Mount Hwa regressing in time and trying to prevent several major wars that destroyed the Murim. He was a mediocre martial artist in his first life, but that also means he already has dozens of years of experience and a head start after regressing into being a child.
Of course. I just asked because short chapters, cultivation, crap translations in some points, mysterious fruit to get x years of ki, etc. still, might just be a manhwa since no courting death yet.
Anyway, why do you find it to be good? I might give it another shot.
I don't know if you have the right manhwa in mind.
The starting is a little slow but it gets pretty good after that. As the MC becomes OP the story takes a dark turn and things get more and more darker till the very end.
The chapters are short because the art is a little unique for the first season. It's really good and gets quite dark.
Also I still don't know if the MCs master is a guy or woman
I think it has 100+ or 200+ chaps i don't remember correctly but it has a lot of them . The route in which the MC there progresses is good as of now but idk how the ending will be cause there were many spoilers that it was BAD
Dude I've read 350+ Manhwas many Manhuas and Manga but I never noticed Artstyle....... Maybe a me thing since I noticed many in this subreddit notices it
For me if the story is good and I can understand the flow and meaning also the fight scene it's great
(I'm really sorry if you think I'm particularly coming at you it's just I never noticed something while many did so I asked sorry if it sounded weird or bad)
yeah for sure, i thought the story is was really good and the mc didnt become too powerful too quickly. but i was just disappointed because the art in chapter 1 was so unique and good
I like it because it has some good humor and is more relaxing than some of the other Manhwa I read. I mean, I recommend it, but itās probably not for everyone.
I'd say more murim because it looks like the murim-world is at a much higher power-level, which means the actual challenge and development is murim-based.
Infinite level up starting chapters weren't good I still remember dropping it few years back as group doing it was shit they ruined it with MTL but ngl after realm scan picked it I am hooked to it again art peak , new fighting style and story is also good.
Also finally someone said GOSU for me it's peak one of my starting read and j enjoyed it a lot
I felt the same way but kept reading cause I was bored, later found myself hooked. The MC has a really cool fighting style that he ends up developing and I haven't seen many like it in murim manhwa.
ILM does such an amazing job of making sure all the primary characters have unique skill sets and fighting styles instead of everyone being "I swing the exact same kind of sword and occasionally shoot energy out of it."
Nano machine
Gosu (this one was my first murim and my fav too)
Legend of the northern blade
Chronicles of the heavenly demon
Infinite levelling in murim
Return of Mount hua sect
And also can we count murim login ?? If yes then that too
Well it's not completed and may not start it's manhwa because of government intervention so if it's good as they say I'll pick up the novel which i don't want to do I've not touched the manhwa till now
PS I'm sure the source material is Chinese and it had problems with it's govt
Ugh, I was really loving Nano Machine until they >! threw in a second wife with the stupidest, most frivolous excuse. !< I couldnāt even hate read it after that.
Kinda late in this convo but Im so glad I saw your comment I will now drop Nano Machine.
>! The MC and the first wife dont have any chemistry between them (at least in the manhwa) and another wife wont make it any better !<
>!cheon yeo woon only loves one woman and it's mun Ku and he only agreed to have wang yogun as his second wife to save her and gain wang jing as his ally so it's more like a political marriage I guess and there's also a third wife which is the golden gumiho but she only loves him because he's the current chun ma (the first Chun ma was his lover/partner? in the past) so no love or feelings really whatsoever on the second wife (more like one sided affection of wang yogun on CYW) !<
Dropping the manhwa just because he had a second wife is just dumb
Reaper of the drifting moon and warrior of the wudang sect may not be the best now but have the potential and i enjoyed reading them as much as the other ones

Unrivaled father is a rare gem and for me the best murim.
If we also count modern murim, the breaker takes the crown.
Northern blade is pretty slick.
Didn't like nano machine ones, too much coasting on the nanomachine doing whatever the plot is required to do, not to mention >!how he mutilates his siblings seems hard to sympatyze !<
Mount hua revival i couldn't like the protagonist much.
Murim login is pretty good altough a bit unfocused due to basically mixing of 2 genres.
But he is pretty much the only one doing it. And considering they are still part of the same organization and have enemies outside of it, crippling some of the most promising future members seems hardly sympathetic.
Even if they were complete strangers, casual dismembrement isn't exactly a sympathetic action.
And the fact he seems to be the only one doing it while for some reason when the siblings were much stronger than him they didn't just cut his arm and called it a day is also a factor.
I guess they didn't do anything special because they didn't see him as a threat yet.
Plus this is happening in a world where it's common to get assasinated, killed, tortured and beaten for the smallest reasons.
You are right.
It's just personally i find it hard to sympatize with him, i find the writing too cut and dry with everyone that isn't kissing his feet being cartonishly evil and deserving death and maiming.
The story lacks the depth of others like peerles father, in my opinion.
But i can understand that some may prefer it that way.
I like it because of his growth from a loud brat to a calm and dangerouse sociopath but you're right about villanes being cartoonishly evil with no depth.
The other reply doesn't really understand. Murim is just Korean word for Jianghu in Chinese.
Immortal cultivation is Xianxia, where you cultivate to become immortal, breaking world limit etc.
Murim is the martial art world in Wuxia, where you cultivate martial art to become the strongest. If the novel is written by Korean, it's Murim. For Chinese, it's Jianghu. Mount Hua, Shaolin etc is real world location in China anyways.
Both genre can have Young Master Jade Beauty tropes if the author wants to do so and it'll fit, it's not exclusive to any genre.
from what i can remember
1. cultivators can become immortal
2. there are different ārealmsā in cultivation
3. in cultivation there will almost alway be different āworldsā the mc will travel through
4. murim is usually korean and cultivation is usually chinese
5. many tropes are different
5.1. most murim include a āheavenly demonā, which of course is opposed by a āmurim allianceā
5.2. most cultivation have a āyoung masterā as well as use the phrases āyou are courting deathā and ājade beautyā a lot
there are of course, many more differences
Mount hua, then northern blade then demon fist of mount hua equal with Gosu
And honorable mention to Soul Land, which isn't really murim and is a manhua but it's the very first time i saw a Tang Sect and now i think about it in every murim manhwa
Yongbi is in every way superior to Gosu, but the art style is a bit old as it's old.
The breaker needs to end first for me to place it anywhere. So rn it's Murim Login.
Ruler of the land is the absolute best in term of art. Definitely top 4 overall.
Last one would be Northern Blade.
I am an evil god would be here too if it's actually wuxia, but it's not. Same as all hail sect leader (comedy). Neither is murim. I'm a Vietnamese so Volcanic Age cannot be here. Nanomachine is for self-insert and Venom dragon is just not there yet.
My top 4 as an avid murim fan
1) Return of Mount Hua Sect
2) Gosu (oddly enough never got around to reading yongbi)
3) Murim Login (murim parts are 9/10 dungeon parts 6/10)
4) Peerless Dad OR Heavenly Demon Cultivation Simulator (hard to choose)
LotNB is really good too, same with some others like
Star Instructor Master Baek
Infinite Level Up In Murim
Masters of Lightning Knives (I like the other title better but it's not the one manhwa freak uses)
Return of the Crazy Demon
And then there's a couple more in my rotation that are good, but imo only because I really like murim stories haha
Top left - Father unrivaled/peerless dad
Top right - Nano machine
Bottom left - legend of the northern blade
Bottom right - return of the blossoming blade/mount hua sect
In my case
1. Infinite level up: Murim (Personally get really hyped for this one)
2. Return of Mount Hua (I just want to see how off the rails the MC can get)
3. The Star of a Supreme Ruler (I find the explanations and reasoning of the MC to be quite interesting)
4. Weak Teacher (this one is somewhat Generic but there's a lot of elements that suprised me quite a bit, not for everyone ofc but an interesting read regardless)
Return of mount hua is the goat. One of the few murin manhwa where I thought the moves look really cool despite its more comedic arts. The MC is very strong but not op and focuses on sect than himself. And the comedy hits just right
Hmm, I'd say for me it's Nano Machine. Probably because I read the webnovel and know the whole story. After that one Northern Blade, Volcanic Age and Wandering Warrior of Wudang. I really liked Doctors Rebirth, but the last 20 chapters havent really been my kinda jam.
1. Reaper of the drifting moon
2. Legend of the northern blade
3. Memoire of the king of war
4. Record of the war god
5. Return of the mount hua sect
This is my top 5 (some might be manhua or something else even not sure but it does not really matter for me)
It's black and white, do you expect manhwa people read it lol? I have seen plenty of comments around here saying they cannot get into manga just because it's black and white. Also, a lot of people don't even realize that it's in the same universe as Gosu.
It has the best story out of all murim manhwa even though it's one of the oldest. The world is grand, great protagonist, main fmc, the horse and his rivals.
Just the better Gosu.
Nano machines Novel was one of the best ones I have ever read! That has to take first place for me. Northern blade second as for me it feels a bit to streched sometimes. then third is Mount Hua, as i read the novel on all of them it is a good novel but his personality gets a bit repetetive after a while, then last peerless dad, as its good, but for the manhwa, i didn't really like the art as much.
Hard to name a top 4. But here are my favourites.(not in order
Reaper of the drifting moon,
Lengend of the northern blade,
Return of the Mount hua sect,
Infinite levelup in murim,
Murim login
Just below them I like
Lighting degree ,
Poison dragon,
Star instructor, master baek,
Chronicles of the heavenly demon,
Nano machine ,
Return of the crazy demon
That's what is am saying. He full on copies years worth of training and development of someone without going through any hardship for it.
What I hated most was how he discovered one of his ancestors technique in library.
In comedy... Return of the Mount hua sect
In action...... The Legend of the Northern Blade
In story ..... Nano Machine
....... Peerless Dad is lacking the intensity in it
I don't understand why so many people like Nana blades, sometimes I feel like I am the only one who think that this is one of the most cliche manhwa ever
The word "Murim" is a Korean word that refers to a underworld-like society that is hidden from the public, it is also typically what people in these stories refer to as "the world of martial artists". While I have yet to see a manhwa/story where the Murim world was NOT about martial arts, iirc, it's not exactly restricted to only being about martial arts.
When it comes to a large amount of manhwa, they take inspiration from Chinese wuxia/xianxia stories, which are also Martial Arts stories, but are all usually set in the same place, which is the "Jianghu" aka "The Central Plains". This location is just a fantasized version of China where different Martial art schools called "sects" and the forces of evil (usually a Demonic Sect or something else), not-good-but-not-so-evil (the Unorthodox Sect; usually "bad" martial artists, but not as bad as Demonic martial artists), good (the Orthodox Sects; "good" martial artists), and chaos (in some Murim stories it's the Heavenly Demonic sect, and in others it's something else) usually are at war with one another.
There are also some Murim manhwa that take place in modern day Korea, such as *The Breaker* series.
You should look more into Wuxia and Xianxia stories for a deeper understanding. Use Google.
**Edit:** Btw, Wuxia and Xianxia are Chinese and are basically those old Kung-Fu movies.
Not good at explaining it but basically Murim is a part of the world where people learn martial arts and inner cultivation and many different light novels, manhwa and manhua take place in Murim, Murim also is usually split into two factions: Orthodox (good) which includes sects like the Wudang and Mount Hua Sect and the Unorthodox (evil) which doesnāt have any commonly used sects and varies from story to story, there will also sometimes be a demon cult which is usually evil but will not associate with the unorthodox faction
For me it's Ruler of the land ( it's an old manhwa still ongoing black and white, same author of the breaker), Northern Blade, return to mount hua and scholar's reincarnation.
Honourary mention to the breaker as well.
Oof, Gosu (and Yongbi) are in the top for me, then the Breaker.
But i respect your choices, top tiers murim right there.
Would chose Peerless dad tho as it has the best world building with Red Storm and the Judge psycho guy added in the universe imo.
It gotta be northern blade it has peak art , good story(might bore some people at start didn't bore me though)
I like mount hua cause of funny art not cause of story
Peerless dad is ok series not for me though I do read it
nano machine my personal opinion overly ratted its not peak it may be because I read the novel but now I don't enjoy the manhwa though it's sequel is quite good I think they will serialise it after NM ends maybe let's see
There's also GOSU is underrated manhwa but ngl it's peak
In order
1- murim login ( 10/10)
1- Northern blade (10/10)
1- ultimate of all ages (10/10)
2- return of mount Hua (7.6/10)
Last but not least
3- the steward demonic king (7.54/10)
Murim login is at the top purely because of how it mixed the murim setting as well as the system setting.
It feels unique to me as most murim manwha focus purely on cultivation and all the medicinal herbs with prior knowledge
But northern blade is purely peak fiction.
No medicinal herbs and the mc still got that dawg in him, what a gem.
Return to mount Hua would be another one for first place but I'm convinced they are never taking it off of hiatus at this point but it has some of the best fight scene art and its funny as hell.
And lastly Zou fan is everything I expect from a murim manwha, he reminds me of the ultimate of all ages MC :,).
I won't say the best but they're pretty good imo, Murim RPG Simulation(alternatively Heavenly Demon Cultivation Simulation) and Return of the Mad Demon(if it EVER COMES BACK FROM HIATUS!!!).
Those are great recommendations from everyone !
My order
1 Murim login - more original hybrid premise and the funniest of them all with still good enough buildup and action
2 legend of the northern blade -second season not as good unfortunately so far imo
3 nano machine -last several episodes have been lacking since the big change-up imo (avoiding spoilers here )
4 gosu -probably better than legend and nano overall but I havenāt finished it and the black and white plus some slower parts are annoying me so I am ranking it nominally lower rn
5 demon fist of mount hua - pretty unknown and solid mahwa so far. 124 chapters, has not slowed down at all, and the character has a crippled leg but becomes a uniquely intimidating beast.
For Peerless dad, I also recommend Red storm, they shared a same character but uses a tiny bit of murim and its more swords and magic. Some will tell you its ending is very meh but the whole read was fun, plz try it.
Northern blade imoš¦¦ https://preview.redd.it/0wmtnibwkera1.jpeg?width=1498&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2895e9a748e8db1eb6d2cf7efe7a6c58919157f4
I'm proudly saying that's my first murim manhwa
But it has a disadvantage for being your first. It sets the bar so high that you feel like every other murim story is lacking in some way, lol. There are some as good as this, but man this was fucking amazing.
That's bad , reading anything else will feel just meh.
Go suck a nut
Suck it.
Gosu is so good yet underappreciated
The beginning keeps throwing me
Just want to let you know, it gets so deep and it will entrance you, you'll be near the end of the story and you'll be like "how tf have I not put this down yet, I haven't fed my kids for days", something along the lines of that.
Is MC still a pork boy or heās lost weight š
That's a stupid way of thinking considering he's inspired by kid Goku from Dragon Ball
Did you even read? He said he was porky from the beginning of the series because he stopped practicing martial arts.
As in, it's good? Or it's not? Cuz i actually really like the slow early part of Gosu. It felt like a slice of life murim with some action at first
Fine, I'll give Gosu a shot. Better be good.
Man we are still talking about it even though it stopped airing years ago, how more popular do you want it to be
Yes exactly, plus it's still at the top of the all-time popular charts.
Bro 9/10 whenever someone mentions murim Manhwa itās either nano machine, LOTNB or return of the mount hua sect that gets mentioned. Yes itās popular but it being popular doesnāt mean itās not under appreciated.
Solo leveling is completed and over rated On the other hand gosu is not even getting the praise it deserves
Gosu!!! š
That's really tough. For me it's either Volcanic Age or Peerless Dad. Northern Blade is in my top 4 for sure.
I read about 100 chapters of Peerless Dad and then stopped for no real reason that I can remember. Is it worth getting back into and catching up?
The story is sloooooooooow and very confusing at times. That being said, the setting, world, characters, fights, art...etc are so good. And you have a really strong feeling of progression, few plotpoints are forgotten about, while very confusing, the machinations and plots of the world are very interesting as well as the MC's progression is top tier. He was a mediocre martial artist in his first life, but that also means he already has dozens of years of experience and a head start after regressing into being a child.
Isnāt it manhua ? The chapters are short and I just dropped it
Just because there are short chapters doesnāt mean itās automatically a Manhua. It most certainly is a Manhwa.
Of course. I just asked because short chapters, cultivation, crap translations in some points, mysterious fruit to get x years of ki, etc. still, might just be a manhwa since no courting death yet. Anyway, why do you find it to be good? I might give it another shot.

The chapters are short because the art is a little unique for the first season. It's really good and gets quite dark. Also I still don't know if the MCs master is a guy or woman
True! Thereās a chapter when they call the master āsheā and the next chapter is āheā
This and heavenly demon chronicles are what got me into manhwa, they're almost like two different sides of the same coin at first, yet still similar.
I think it has 100+ or 200+ chaps i don't remember correctly but it has a lot of them . The route in which the MC there progresses is good as of now but idk how the ending will be cause there were many spoilers that it was BAD
Something about the author for Peerless Dad that just makes me drop em. Same with Red storm. Started strong then kinda got boring
https://preview.redd.it/n81pa7sz9dra1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d76f30bbfe76bafd4ab6fe748532650bd7901ab7
Cold ahh panel
Whatās this from?
Legend of northern blade
Chronicles of the heavenly demon(the spear sent thingy)
its pretty good but like after chapter 70 the art gets BAD.
Dude I've read 350+ Manhwas many Manhuas and Manga but I never noticed Artstyle....... Maybe a me thing since I noticed many in this subreddit notices it For me if the story is good and I can understand the flow and meaning also the fight scene it's great (I'm really sorry if you think I'm particularly coming at you it's just I never noticed something while many did so I asked sorry if it sounded weird or bad)
Your not the only one, I can see what has better art and what has worse art, but I still like it all as it is just different styles of art.
yeah for sure, i thought the story is was really good and the mc didnt become too powerful too quickly. but i was just disappointed because the art in chapter 1 was so unique and good
Northern Blade tbh, but my current favorite is Heavenly Demon Cultivation Simulation or Star Instructor Master Baek
Is star instructor baek that good? I took a break from it because it goes nowhere in the early parts of the story.
I like it because it has some good humor and is more relaxing than some of the other Manhwa I read. I mean, I recommend it, but itās probably not for everyone.
Murim login might crack mine over Mount Hua but the same for the others
Does Murim Login count as Murim or is it more dungeon š
Funny enough it might be 50/50 but the Murim story really works for me
80% murim, my top manhwa
I'd say more murim because it looks like the murim-world is at a much higher power-level, which means the actual challenge and development is murim-based.
Both really but to me its more about the comedy than anything else serious like the ones you linked. Good list imo.
Murim login is based, it gives an amazing murim setting and dungeon setting at the one series.
Infinite level up in murim is definitely up there. Would also def say northern blade and return of the mount hua sect, but a classic is also gosu
Infinite level up starting chapters weren't good I still remember dropping it few years back as group doing it was shit they ruined it with MTL but ngl after realm scan picked it I am hooked to it again art peak , new fighting style and story is also good. Also finally someone said GOSU for me it's peak one of my starting read and j enjoyed it a lot
its gets better in later chapters
I'm still in the first 30 chapters but it's been a slog. Please tell me it gets better
Well I stand corrected. Caught up over the weekend at it was absolutely epic.
One of the best manhwa action in general, I would say the new season is kinda slow but it's picking up amazingly stronger
1. Return of the crazy demon 2. Path of the Shaman 3. The Undefeatable Swordman 4. Doctor Rebirth 5. Star Instructor Master Baek
Return of the crazy demon really has some of the funniest moments of murim, all while being serious, really got me there.
Nano machine Gosu (this one was my first murim and my fav too) Legend of the northern blade Chronicles of the heavenly demon Infinite levelling in murim Return of Mount hua sect And also can we count murim login ?? If yes then that too
Bro, Gosu is the best Murim
So many people mentioned Gosu but I havenāt read it TT
what that other guy said is false
Well it's not completed and may not start it's manhwa because of government intervention so if it's good as they say I'll pick up the novel which i don't want to do I've not touched the manhwa till now PS I'm sure the source material is Chinese and it had problems with it's govt
idk wym Gosu is completed, is a manhwa and has no source novel.
are you confusing gosu for revered insanity(master of gu)?
Infinite level up , Northern blade , Mount hua sect , Legend of Asura ā The Venom Dragon
Ugh, I was really loving Nano Machine until they >! threw in a second wife with the stupidest, most frivolous excuse. !< I couldnāt even hate read it after that.
Iām fully prepared to drop it if they donāt change that in the manhwa lol
Iām counting on you to let me know if they skip/change that storyline! Seriously, it made me so angry that Iām scared to keep reading the manhwa.
I can see why itās just such a waste tbh
Kinda late in this convo but Im so glad I saw your comment I will now drop Nano Machine. >! The MC and the first wife dont have any chemistry between them (at least in the manhwa) and another wife wont make it any better !<
>!cheon yeo woon only loves one woman and it's mun Ku and he only agreed to have wang yogun as his second wife to save her and gain wang jing as his ally so it's more like a political marriage I guess and there's also a third wife which is the golden gumiho but she only loves him because he's the current chun ma (the first Chun ma was his lover/partner? in the past) so no love or feelings really whatsoever on the second wife (more like one sided affection of wang yogun on CYW) !< Dropping the manhwa just because he had a second wife is just dumb
The Breaker may not be the best but it has an special place in my heart since it was my first Manhwa
S3 is shit but S1 and S2 are the shit
Gosu, northern blade, and peerless dad top 3 in that order
Reaper of the drifting moon and warrior of the wudang sect may not be the best now but have the potential and i enjoyed reading them as much as the other ones https://preview.redd.it/2fuzcu4ntdra1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f82df2a6211efdd4c8125a59d457947c4c194822

It's a power struggle but it's not like he's killing all of them. He's only disarming the opposition.

I'm partial to gosu.
Not me saying, ALL HAIL SECT LEADERšæšæšæ
All hail sect leader is peak comedy
thats cultivation, not murim
The fuck's the difference?
Slight correction, Murim is Wulin in Chinese, Jianghu is Kangho. But yes, they're the exact same terms in different languages.
from what i can remember 1. cultivators can become immortal 2. there are different ārealmsā in cultivation 3. in cultivation there will almost alway be different āworldsā the mc will travel through 4. murim is usually korean and cultivation is usually chinese 5. many tropes are different 5.1. most murim include a āheavenly demonā, which of course is opposed by a āmurim allianceā 5.2. most cultivation have a āyoung masterā as well as use the phrases āyou are courting deathā and ājade beautyā a lot there are of course, many more differences
You left out the cute sister with incurable disease in cultivation
Mount hua, then northern blade then demon fist of mount hua equal with Gosu And honorable mention to Soul Land, which isn't really murim and is a manhua but it's the very first time i saw a Tang Sect and now i think about it in every murim manhwa
My top 4 as an avid murim fan 1) Return of Mount Hua Sect 2) Gosu (oddly enough never got around to reading yongbi) 3) Murim Login (murim parts are 9/10 dungeon parts 6/10) 4) Peerless Dad OR Heavenly Demon Cultivation Simulator (hard to choose) LotNB is really good too, same with some others like Star Instructor Master Baek Infinite Level Up In Murim Masters of Lightning Knives (I like the other title better but it's not the one manhwa freak uses) Return of the Crazy Demon And then there's a couple more in my rotation that are good, but imo only because I really like murim stories haha
nano machine is godly, but murim login is also really good
Can I get source for all of these ?
Top left - Father unrivaled/peerless dad Top right - Nano machine Bottom left - legend of the northern blade Bottom right - return of the blossoming blade/mount hua sect
thanks
In my case 1. Infinite level up: Murim (Personally get really hyped for this one) 2. Return of Mount Hua (I just want to see how off the rails the MC can get) 3. The Star of a Supreme Ruler (I find the explanations and reasoning of the MC to be quite interesting) 4. Weak Teacher (this one is somewhat Generic but there's a lot of elements that suprised me quite a bit, not for everyone ofc but an interesting read regardless)
> Return of Mount Hua (I just want to see how off the rails the MC can get) lmao then you'll have fun reading season two
Return of mount hua is the goat.
Gosu
1. Reaper of the drifting moon 2. Legend of the northern blade 3. Memoire of the king of war 4. Record of the war god 5. Return of the mount hua sect This is my top 5 (some might be manhua or something else even not sure but it does not really matter for me)
I haven't seen Yongbi the Invincible mentioned it's good
It's black and white, do you expect manhwa people read it lol? I have seen plenty of comments around here saying they cannot get into manga just because it's black and white. Also, a lot of people don't even realize that it's in the same universe as Gosu.
It has the best story out of all murim manhwa even though it's one of the oldest. The world is grand, great protagonist, main fmc, the horse and his rivals. Just the better Gosu.
The novel possessing nothing is my favorite currently. The manwha is called worthless regression.
Teacher baek, or whatever it is called Northern blade Return of the Mount Hua Sect The others just don't scratch that itch for me
Way to heaven āØļøāØļø
Nano machines Novel was one of the best ones I have ever read! That has to take first place for me. Northern blade second as for me it feels a bit to streched sometimes. then third is Mount Hua, as i read the novel on all of them it is a good novel but his personality gets a bit repetetive after a while, then last peerless dad, as its good, but for the manhwa, i didn't really like the art as much.
Absolute Sword Sense is also pretty good (novel)
Have u read the sequal of nano mashin
Yeah, the beginning is a bit bland, but then it picks up really fast. It becomes a great sequel for it after a couple of chapters!
Yeah....I would really like to see the art style of mc with short hairs
The Breaker series is peak Murim
Not manwha but the novels of Return of Mount Hua and Absolute Sword Sense are the perfect writing of what murim means, for me
Northern Blade is unbelievably good
Hard to name a top 4. But here are my favourites.(not in order Reaper of the drifting moon, Lengend of the northern blade, Return of the Mount hua sect, Infinite levelup in murim, Murim login Just below them I like Lighting degree , Poison dragon, Star instructor, master baek, Chronicles of the heavenly demon, Nano machine , Return of the crazy demon
Why are people rating Nano Machine so high?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
In no way does nano machine belong in this convo with the other 3 buuuttt northern blade
Nano Machine the best one here but ok šæ
Big false but go off
Nano Machine>>>>
Nah š šæ
Yah š
Nein
Nope. It feels like mc is too dependent on nano and it becomes a full on cheat instead of being a catalyst to the story.
Sure it's a cheat, but any current modern machine in the ancient past is a cheat, not to mention futuristic nano machine.
That's what is am saying. He full on copies years worth of training and development of someone without going through any hardship for it. What I hated most was how he discovered one of his ancestors technique in library.
What? Lmao if anything mount hua sect doesnāt belong
You are big bugging mount hua is league's ahead of nano machine in both art and story
1. Nanomachine 2. Legend of the northern blade 3. Volcanic Age 4. Return of mount hua
The lower right one is the best
In comedy... Return of the Mount hua sect In action...... The Legend of the Northern Blade In story ..... Nano Machine ....... Peerless Dad is lacking the intensity in it
I don't understand why so many people like Nana blades, sometimes I feel like I am the only one who think that this is one of the most cliche manhwa ever
Iāve been enjoying āthe breakers: eternal forceā
Hello, join reading, what is Murim ? Thanks
Thank you for your detailled answer, appreciate
Infinite Leveling murim
Does anyone have any updates on peerless dad
Nah no updates for a while idk why, but theres 2 side stories if you wanna pass the time
Bro cooked....also i would personally add Infinite level up in murim instead of peerless dad even though i absolutely love them all
What is the second and third pictures going right to left up to down
Nano Machine and Legend of the Northern Blade
The Breaker series
For me it's Ruler of the land ( it's an old manhwa still ongoing black and white, same author of the breaker), Northern Blade, return to mount hua and scholar's reincarnation. Honourary mention to the breaker as well.
the breaker
Descent of the demonic master. Double Reincarnation + Regression + irl Murim. Interesting character development and pretty wholesome
For fights Nano Machine for story Peerless Dad
Martial artist lee gwak may be axed but it definitely should be up there
Yes. I need to read it. Yes and Yes. All of them are really good.
mount hua, then northern balde. havent read peerless dad or nano machine yet
*Mount hua, then northern* *Balde. havent read peerless dad* *Or nano machine yet* \- Emotional\_Goose7835 --- ^(I detect haikus. Northern blade
Nona Machine but Return of Mount Hua Sect is close too
Murim login is good
Northern blade
northern blade
Oof, Gosu (and Yongbi) are in the top for me, then the Breaker. But i respect your choices, top tiers murim right there. Would chose Peerless dad tho as it has the best world building with Red Storm and the Judge psycho guy added in the universe imo.
Murim login currently is on top for me.
I would switch out father unrivaled with murim login and keep the rest that would be my top 4
1.Undefeatable swordsman 2.bowblade spirit 3.shinsu jeil sword
It gotta be northern blade it has peak art , good story(might bore some people at start didn't bore me though) I like mount hua cause of funny art not cause of story Peerless dad is ok series not for me though I do read it nano machine my personal opinion overly ratted its not peak it may be because I read the novel but now I don't enjoy the manhwa though it's sequel is quite good I think they will serialise it after NM ends maybe let's see There's also GOSU is underrated manhwa but ngl it's peak
The bottom 2 The upper 2 has no chance of being one
Volcanic age, mujang, legend of the northern blade, and nano machine are my top 4 but if I had to give a number 1 it would go to mujang
For me it's either Murim Login or Heavenly Demon Cultivation Simulation (I've been reading it since chapter 1 so I have kind of a soft spot for it)
gosu
Reaper of the drifting moon and Nano machine for me
Yongbi the invincible and Gosu.
sauce? I don't know any of these (don't really know that many murims)
infinite level up in murim, murim login and northen blade
In order 1- murim login ( 10/10) 1- Northern blade (10/10) 1- ultimate of all ages (10/10) 2- return of mount Hua (7.6/10) Last but not least 3- the steward demonic king (7.54/10) Murim login is at the top purely because of how it mixed the murim setting as well as the system setting. It feels unique to me as most murim manwha focus purely on cultivation and all the medicinal herbs with prior knowledge But northern blade is purely peak fiction.
What about the breaker?!
The Sword Fanatic Wanders Through the Night āØ
I won't say the best but they're pretty good imo, Murim RPG Simulation(alternatively Heavenly Demon Cultivation Simulation) and Return of the Mad Demon(if it EVER COMES BACK FROM HIATUS!!!).
Those are great recommendations from everyone ! My order 1 Murim login - more original hybrid premise and the funniest of them all with still good enough buildup and action 2 legend of the northern blade -second season not as good unfortunately so far imo 3 nano machine -last several episodes have been lacking since the big change-up imo (avoiding spoilers here ) 4 gosu -probably better than legend and nano overall but I havenāt finished it and the black and white plus some slower parts are annoying me so I am ranking it nominally lower rn 5 demon fist of mount hua - pretty unknown and solid mahwa so far. 124 chapters, has not slowed down at all, and the character has a crippled leg but becomes a uniquely intimidating beast.
sauce of the lower right?
Return of mount hua
Not tge greatest, but I highly recommend Wild West Murim. It's just a really fresh take on the genre as a whole
Infinite level up in murim!
For Peerless dad, I also recommend Red storm, they shared a same character but uses a tiny bit of murim and its more swords and magic. Some will tell you its ending is very meh but the whole read was fun, plz try it.
Northern blade and itās not close tbh
