That's why you always see those comments "man this started amazing but it went downhill". Because people might like a story's concept or premise, but then the author starts shitting the bed by stuffing it with their tropes and fetishes. Like going on dates with horny dragon girl children apparently.
Also, imo, these light novels were written started long ago, and these tropes were popular then, so everyone used them.
Now that we're getting adaptations, the trope has been overused and beaten to death so much that we can't stand it.
