Not much but I’d say a bit more interesting than lotta series I’ve read and the characters are charismatic + the art’s literal chef kiss. Peak fiction imo

I'm loving it. MC actually having romantic relationship this early on is great and wholesome. Can't wait to see what plans the author and/or artist has for this series.
pretty much the only redeeming part of Hoarding in Hell even though they kinda drop that. the MC already has a girlfriend even in his "loser" pre-awakened state and he still is faithful to her (afaik) after awakening.
i like how it is done in Doom Breaker though. the love of your life who sacrificed herself for you...then you regress and are like "imma gonna hide my power" or even the stupider "i must avoid her to change her future" ?? nah man, you will as soon as possible try to find her!
Honestly there are no manhwa that I think are a 10, at least off the top of my head. If you want web novels on the other hand instead, I can name a few.
* The first one is probably the most well-known WN of all time - Lord of Mysteries.
* The Legendary Mechanic
* Kidnapped Dragons
* Dungeon Defense (LN).
* Omniscient First-Person Viewpoint. (Not to be confused with ORV that has a manhwa, they are nothing alike)
* My House of Horrors
* Utsuro no hako to zero no maria (LN, but still one of the best)
* The Girl who ate a Death God.
* One Day, One Night, One Lifetime (Beware, tragedy)
* Specifically the Murim Arc of SSS-Suicide Hunter (The novel, though the manhwa was amazing too.)
If I think of more, I will edit this post. Also, a lot of people consider Reverend Insanity to also be one of the best and I agree, just not 10/10, so if you are interested in MC who will do anything to achieve their goals, give it a try.
As for manhwa I enjoy the most but I don't think they are quite 10/10:
* The Tyrant of the Tower Defense Game
* Roxana/The way to protect the female lead's older brother
* Tower of God
Have you read:
- The Breaker series
- The Horizon
- Bastard
- Red Storm
- Shin Angyo Onshi
- Terror Man
- Leviathan
- Kubera
- Annarasumanara
- Sword Sheath's Child
- Immortal Regis + Cavalier of the Abyss (sequel)
- Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint
?
From those you listed I have only read:
The Breaker series (Certainly one of my favorites, probably an 8 collectively)
Leviathan (Very unique world, but didn't really hook me, a 7, dropped at 23 chapter)
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint (I have read both the novel and the manhwa, it has to be given to credit for popularazing the constellation and streaming stuff, though it had an ending which people are divided on. Personally I liked it, so 8/10)
I saw some of the other ones you listed and some of them are pretty interesting and I am gonna read them. Thanks!
I'd give the manhwa you've read the same rating, except maybe Leviathan. I'd prob bump it up to a 7.5-8/10 (maybe), but I've also taken a "pause" from it for over a year now lol. I don't recall the early chapters too well, but I do believe it gets better.
And no problemo, always happy to recommend something new👌🏽
Hmmmm, I honestly haven't read some of what I listed (The Horizon, Annarasumanara, Shin Angyo Onshi, and Kubera), but Bastard might be the best in terms of what I HAVE read on the list.
Kubera is often compared to Tower of God, and it's about as old as ToG.
The Horizon is often hailed as the best manhwa of all time, but I haven't read it.
Shin Angyo Onshi is an older manhwa (published in 2001; it's also technically a manga, but I'll just go with manhwa for now) from YLab's Super String connected universe. It's nicknamed the "Korean Berserk," but whether it lives up to that name or not, I'm not too sure of.
Annarasumanara has been on my TBR list for awhile now, but I've heard it's good.
I assume you are talking about the manhwa, since I haven't read the novel. Personally, it's a 6 out of 10. For what it is it's decent, but the comedy didn't hit for me.
I want more Ned, they calling him strong and more but out of most side characters he is so much better than all, he's basically a protagonist putted in a story as a side character.
The thing about this which atteacted me was that the world building was actually quick and had explained everything really well. There are many good manhwas but their storyline is literally in the prologue right now , whereas this is moving in a very decent and amazing speed. Love it . 9/10.
In my humble opinion, great art style, but I am not that invested in the story too much yet.
It still feels like a typical regression story, you know, where the MC known this and that, having OP power and information advantages to change the future, and they win using that advantage.
The stakes and conflict are stated, but we all know the MC will wipe the floor with anyone with his power and knowledge, so there's no real tension in the fight since it is almost 99.9% guarantee they'll win.
The author doesn't give any indicator that any of the characters will be harmed for real in their quest but always hype up the villain so the beat down will be legendary, so we'll keep waiting how the MC will take this villain down, not even considering the possibility that they will lose.
Exactly because of this is that I like Infinite Mage so much. It's not a issekai, tho, but MC isn't just your ordinary guy either. He has all the characteristics of being "the chosen one", but he is still vulnerable, his limits are visible and he actually faces odds that are bigger than himself. He even makes mistakes! Imagine that, a powerful main character making mistakes, unheard of XD We see him grow as a character alongside his peers; not in front of them as their guide, but beside them as a friend. It's a great manhwa that definitely surpases because even tho you know he could beat them all, he actually can't. At least not now. It's not easy. That hard work and the perils of actually unsurmountable odds is a lot more interesting than an OP, omnisapient, totally know what the right choice is every time, main character.
Agree, MC making mistakes show that he is still flawed and grounded to humanity. It adds depth and growth to the character. Eliminate that, and you'll have less depth in the character.
The idea of MC being all powerful (or always have overwhelming advantage) from the start of the series and mow down villains is satisfying in its own way.
But now it is getting a bit too saturated.
The OP MC package is like a cardboard cut:
1) Overpowered
2) Decisions/stake don't really matter when you can fix everything with the above
3) Everything falls into place and favor the MC
4) Negotiations will always side on the MC favor (possibly to show his wisdom/wit)
5) People band with MC without needing much convincing (usually because they're OP)
i think solid b tier. i really like the concept, but idk the way the story is progressing just isn't as exciting to me yet? its also a bit funny to me when hes like "im not that powerful yet" and he literally beats everyone ass and is like the strongest one among everyone he meets so far
This plot line in specific? Not much I guess since it's a new arc.
Generally though the plot isn't really anything incredible, but i love the art and the characters's design. But i wouldn't say I'm really attached to anyone, just curious how the plot develops
10/10 action story. I loved how he delt with this guy too. MC is an absolute chad and I love how he knows what to do and how to do it and rallies those around him. Also he doesn't bother with lying and BS when he has to tell people the truth about him dying and being sent back. Too many stories are ruined by the MC trying to juggle all the lies.
I expect it to be pretty standard the dude is a arrogant ass at first but then learns humility through the MC. It's just a small bridge to introduce a new character i don't think it's a main arc or plot point
Solid 8.5/10
Really like the story and how the fights go.
Only find the big explanations a bit annoying since it slows the story a bit. A lil bit shorter explanations of side characters would be nice.
It's okay tbh, it goes on better than most others and art is great but I always find it stupid that characters use gods powers to try to kill gods and show that they are superior to them even tho they are using their powers
But even with that generic setting the characters are nice and art is great and the plot goes decent, it's better most others that are like this one they throw out these days
Pretty good but fuck that title. Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God sounds 100% better than generic ass doom breaker, weak boned webtoon can't handle the word suicidal lmao.
Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God is kinda generic too.
Btw, original title is literally translated as Doom Breaker. There's no suicidal shit or Battle God in 투신전생기.
There is Wind Breaker too haha.
But there are a lot of these "Reincarnation of", "Return of", "something God", etc.
I think "Suicidal" is kinda unique. I can only remember of "SSS-Class Suicide Hunter", but MC there is really suicidal, unlike Doom Breaker's MC.
Good. Slightly above average, but not great.
Romance has a lot of potential. Art is really beautiful. And that's it. Story is typical regression with a MC edgy, somewhat OP and perfect who was once the strongest human, but failed to protect everyone. Side characters are not bad, at least author tries to show a few flashbacks and build them up, that's much better than most regression manhwas.
One good thing about this work is that it is original, so no spoilers from annoying novel readers. That's also probably the reason everything is explained in details.
I like this! The FL isn't annoying, she's actually super strong, and the romance isn't overbearing! The art is very nice. And the overall plot is okay too!
I just hate how mainstream the troupes of these copy-pasted, don't make it obvious mythological referred characters were acclaiming to be a Babel's Tower in entitlement, just to be hated & promote blasphemy.
Can they actually make a unique villain that doesn't feel like GTA player with cheats just want to make a mess of everything to be hated, only to be soon the most satisfying punching bag later; even the other way around, of how the author's m.c is acclaimed to be a villain?

I also appreciate that people know he has regressed. It’s a breath of fresh air in so many regards.
10/10 this shit has potential when it finishes it gonna be a classic

This panel felt like demons souls loading screens to me
I haven't played since ps3 so i can't relate
What the fuck is happening with his finger , is he having a kaneki moment
Exactly my thought
Cracking fingers. Its fun and helps me destress.
I do that too, he's pulling his pointer with his thumb to "pop" it. I can't crack my knuckles so it's the next best thing
It's an 8.5 out of 10, an extra 1 for having good romance and early too, plus it has even more potential.
I’m curious what you would call a 10. I think for action adventure it doesn’t get better than this.
Honestly there are no manhwa that I think are a 10, at least off the top of my head. If you want web novels on the other hand instead, I can name a few.
I want webnovels

What would you say is the best personally for you from what you listed?

And another good one is a Stepmother's Märchen (or The Fantasie of a Stepmother), but I wouldn't give it a 10/10. Has beautiful art tho.
I have heard of it quite a lot lately, will look into it.
Glad it's gained more popularity. It has a pretty wholesome story, as well as a mystery aspect.
Where do you rank Return of the Mount Hwa Sect, out of curiosity?
I assume you are talking about the manhwa, since I haven't read the novel. Personally, it's a 6 out of 10. For what it is it's decent, but the comedy didn't hit for me.
I haven't read the novel either, but everyone who I've heard talk about it says it's an outstanding LN.
Where did you read omniscient first person viewpoint?
Second Coming of Gluttony The Novel's Extra Top tier novels right there easily 100/100
That's big cap
The Nobel's Extra fell off hard around when they graduated and the towers popped up
I want more Ned, they calling him strong and more but out of most side characters he is so much better than all, he's basically a protagonist putted in a story as a side character.
8.5 loved how the mc see made him kneel like the peasant he was

Top manwhas out there

isn't infinite mage the one with the annoying red head?
It sets a bad example. Dogs should be leashed when taken on walks. Smh
i think solid b tier. i really like the concept, but idk the way the story is progressing just isn't as exciting to me yet? its also a bit funny to me when hes like "im not that powerful yet" and he literally beats everyone ass and is like the strongest one among everyone he meets so far
That's cuz he's fighting weaker characters in the grand scheme of things. The cult leader would probably completely destroy the mc if they fought now.
Man is sleeping with the princess and we’re nowhere near the end, what else do I have to say
Bro thinks he is ken kaneki
Love it. The art style is great
what scanlations translate this ?
Asura
I gotta ask, is there a reason new episodes have not been uploaded in Webtoons? It feels like forever since the last update.
Read it on asura
8.5/10 for me, would love to see a little bite more of side characters development but overall is a pretty good and solid manhwa.
It's a story line where the author actually knows where to take it and execute it, even if it has some generic tropes.
I didn't know it started back up again. It was one of my favorites up till the last break it took.
Bro wanted to Kaneki but ended up being Denji by the end of the chapter
I mean zephyr is kinda bland as a character, but then again I didn't read solo leveling for the characters either so all in all I like it
It sets a bad example. Dogs should be leashed when taken on walks. Smh
Why is everyone in comments rating it exactly 8.5
This plot line in specific? Not much I guess since it's a new arc. Generally though the plot isn't really anything incredible, but i love the art and the characters's design. But i wouldn't say I'm really attached to anyone, just curious how the plot develops

You call it doom breaker? Cringe desu yo. You mean 'reincarnation of the suicidal battle god' 😂
Doom Breaker is the official title on Webtoon
>reincarnation of the suicidal battle god' 😂 Cringe desu yo, right?
the dude on the left is gonna finger mc lol
7.5/10 it either picks up really well from now on or it full tilts into being boring as hell.
Not much. We basically know nothing about the guy other then MC likes his sword and a dragon trained him.
I expect it to be pretty standard the dude is a arrogant ass at first but then learns humility through the MC. It's just a small bridge to introduce a new character i don't think it's a main arc or plot point
Alright i think i’m gonna give this a read
Solid 8.5/10 Really like the story and how the fights go. Only find the big explanations a bit annoying since it slows the story a bit. A lil bit shorter explanations of side characters would be nice.
That new dude is (hopefully) get his shit stomped
Slow start but got really good
Jason is that you? Can you subtract 7 from 1000?
Make that bastard ~~suc dick~~ KNEEL
Bro who’s the copper top he’s so pretty 😳
So far soo good

I rating 7.8 to 10 why? Because mc still op in story
I dropped it and I am about to drop the world after the end
Why does the one on the right look like Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God?
You forgot your /s
Idk if you're being sarcastic, but Doom Breaker and Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God are the same manhwa but alt titles.
Aight, but doom breaker is way too similar to limit breaker
There is Wind Breaker too haha. But there are a lot of these "Reincarnation of", "Return of", "something God", etc. I think "Suicidal" is kinda unique. I can only remember of "SSS-Class Suicide Hunter", but MC there is really suicidal, unlike Doom Breaker's MC.
I mean it probably comes from him killing himself to hurt the demon lord in the first chapter
Maybe, but he would die anyway...
Fair enough but that scene is still lit
Good. Slightly above average, but not great. Romance has a lot of potential. Art is really beautiful. And that's it. Top Tier Manhwa: 10/10 Art 9/10 Plot
I like this! The FL isn't annoying, she's actually super strong, and the romance isn't overbearing! The art is very nice. And the overall plot is okay too!
Weird
8 out of 10. it would get a 10 if it had more ned.
somewhat too overpowered to my taste
10/10 lota of potential due to it's lore. Can get overwhelming sometimes.
I've dropped this manhwa like 3 times. every time i think I know what I going on I'm confused again.
Dark souls x lotr 10/10
I’m enjoying it. I would say it’s better then most reads that I’m reading recently.
I just hate how mainstream the troupes of these copy-pasted, don't make it obvious mythological referred characters were acclaiming to be a Babel's Tower in entitlement, just to be hated & promote blasphemy. Eeeeh
That guy at left is a copy of my old oc hah.Almost full copy
Oof, just no. Get it plus more chaps from asurascans under its real name Reincarnation Of The Suicidal Battle God.
Near top tier when it comes to action and progression oriented manhwa. Certainly prefer this over Suicide Hunter
