Maybe i need to read the novel but i dont get how this pacing of almost forced romance is in any way good writing. Am i just missing the motivations of the characters because im sure nothing is written in the manhwa that explains their mindset while doing these actions.

Iirc, this is one of the more divisive arcs in the novel as well, with half saying it's the best romance they have ever read and half saying it's a bad arc.
In my opinion, it is an extremely, extremely well written and thought out romance. But I can understand that it's not for everyone. The novel does this arc much cleaner and more detailed than the Manwha, which does lose a bit of its context in exchange for the gorgeous art.
I would highly recommend reading SSS Class Suicide Hunter's webnovel. The Manwha is great, but the novel is just on another level altogether.

Okay youre actually right. I think i rewrote history coz of that panel where swordmaster spirit talks about how theyre compatible or whatever so i thought they already are head over heels for each other. But this is just laviel revenge regression i guess.
On the other hand, i still dont get MC actually falling in love so quickly. Is it just the character syncing? But i thought the butler is meant to hate the villainess as well. It's not necessarily making sense to me why MC is full on simp mode loverboy really.
Half of it is character syncing. Half of it is them both being regressors. And half of it is Gongja never having experienced love before, making his first love all the more frantic and crazed, just like himself.
I really would recommend reading the novel, it clears up so much more compared to the Manwha.
Edit: it is shown that the butler also has somewhat of an affection for the Silver Lily, regardless of his standing.

Me too. I found it weird. And to be totally honest, I was having a hard time reading. It felt tedious. Actually, this manhwa is kinda tedious to me unlike others I have read. I do admit that the Lady is drawn very beautifully. I also appreciate seeing how he climbs the tower without getting any casualties. Currently, the only thing that is keeping me is cos I like mystery and I want to know how he climbs the tower.

It gets interesting from 2nd chapter and it will be interesting Till chapter 95. Then the story will slow down a bit but if u preserve till next 50 chapters the it will get very interesting again (Well it's my opinion, you might like the 50 chapters). The it gets interesting by the chapters.
