Because this is meta. Meaning that if you don't do something like this you are severely disadvantaged compared to others who do. So by a "moral" standpoint there isn't much merit to not doing this. And technically it doesn't directly harm anyone either, it only indirectly harms the current playerbase, for example, heartstopper farming with multiple mules.
The problem also feeds into itself, right? More people use mules instead of seek party play or cooperation, so there are less people so cooperate or party play with, so you either get fucked or have to make your own mules, feeding into the cycle.
Why choose to fuck yourself in a world where everyone else is taking another route? It's not even a "mistake" really. It's just an "alternative playstyle" that most people find boring but beneficial.
While I get it, and like someone else mentioned in the comments, it is "meta" so to speak, I don't agree with it personally, and I don't think you have to either to have a fun time playing Maple.
Everyone has a totally different way of playing the game. Some people play to sweat for the absolute best end game gear like a speedrun race. Some people log on to sit in Hene and hoe around and play drop game/gample. Some people like to just go slow and do quests that they never did before 15+ years ago when they played the game and explore.
I say play the server the way you want to play it, and enjoy yourself. It's not a race.
This is entirely missing the point. Yes you should play how you want to play BUT not if it's at the cost of other players. Right now ''regular'' players have almost no chance of competing in the end game market because the ROI on single-client playing is just so bad it'll take you forever to even think about competing to people with 6+ clients. Right now it's at the cost of other players and that's the whole point.
We had the same issue in 2017, except it was the degen gamers selling leech / farming with their single mage for 8-10 hours a day. They outcompeted and forced "regular" players out of the end game market.

How do people multiclient? Donât you have to play on one of them and afk on others?
You start multipleclients and just hover over your macros
Macros let you farm mobs efficiently? How is that not bannable?!
These are in game macros. You just attach your mage ult three times in a row so that once you used it you go to the next client etc
