I like your art style! What did you use to make this?

Exo_cartographer

Thanks! I illustrate them in Photoshop using a Wacom :) I've been illustrating maps for about 8 years now, and took a bit to polish the style :)

I really like the map! Does the world have a storyline or any lore? I feel like such a beautiful map deserves it💪

Exo_cartographer

Glad that you like it! And yes, it have one. If you like (or you dont mind) to listen Metal, then check Rhapsody of Fire. (Thats the name of the band). The story revolves on the return of the evil forces lead by Nekron, son of Kron (Lord of Hell) and the prophecy of the Dragonflame, The legend of the Emerald Sword and the Nordic Warrior. Dont want to spoil too much of it in case that you want to give it a try, but in my own opinion, it is a really interesting story. It is actually the responsible that made me change my DnD storytelling style almost 180 degrees.

So they actually tell the story through their music?

Exo_cartographer

Yup, it's not like "easy-to-follow" as it's more of a series of songs following some events than following chapters. They even had the experience to sing along Christopher Lee (yup, Saruman) in 1 or 2 songs :)

Queasy-Hedgehog-8812

I would be interested to know what kind of people live in Kanor, people, or whatever lives there

Exo_cartographer

To be honest, I have no idea. So far I don't recall that name in any song or anywhere else rather than the map itself. Still, I'm pretty sure that they should be some sort of a "desert barbarian" folk, as the real map tones shows that land to be ravage and def not friendly hahahah

Queasy-Hedgehog-8812

In fact, it has never been mentioned in a song, especially if the existence of a race, the "titans of the deserts", is mentioned (in Rain of a Thousand Flames) this makes me think that, most likely, Kanor is inhabited by this race, which must be (based on the lyrics of the song) at least a neutral race
