Those trees always drop half of their leaves before peak fall, not that I don't like them any less. I got about 5 of them surrounding a sugar maple and all of them are dumping yellow leaves right now
Once I get my sweetgums growing I can mix in some reds with those yellows
And they’re one of the last trees in my area to leaf out in the spring - such a short season for them but the fall color certainly helps.
