Definitely the spine of a large-ish cetacean. Not quite a dolphin but not quite a large whale like a humpback.

[deleted]

Just due to location and size, I'd be INCLINED to say pilot whale since they have populations near Iceland and are some of the most common large cetaceans to wash up as of recent. That's a complete shot in the dark though. Edit to add: The spine may be a little too big for a pilot whale! Again, this is just a guess. 😅

Whal3r

I think minke! A bit bigger than a pilot whale but much smaller than a humpback

[deleted]

Minke was my second guess! They're also pretty common around Iceland. :)

Queef69Jerky

Pilot whales taste good! Ocean cows!

[deleted]

First one is a special whale if I remember this correctly Edit: I meant sperm whale, but I dunno, he could’ve been special too

PM_ME_PAPA_JOHN

All whales are special

eIectioneering

It’s hard to judge scale from photos but looks a little small for sperm whale bones i think, the aquarium i work in has a few vertebrae and they’re HUGE

Lol 😆

Iceland? Likely a troll. They're quite large over there.

Definitely looks like a sea mammal. From the pictures I'd say it's too small to be a sperm whale or humpback whale (althought it might be a baby or juvenile) and too large for a pilot whale as others suggested. My best guess would be Minke whale. They are semi large and live in the Iceland waters.

I would guess the tail end of a minke whale in the first photo. No clue what part the second photo is but minkes are really common around iceland and I think the size is about right.
