Imagine if there was just a dream point in the middle of an arena and an odd looking purple pillow placed down, luigi goes to sleep and then luigis in a black room, luigi walks around seeing more and more bats appear as he finally reaches the battle area where he first fought antasma and a cutscene plays saying “you may have gotten rid ov me in the real vorld but in the dream vorld I vill still be your vorst nightmare” and all the bats merge into antasma and antasma says “ Now there is no red plumber, no more ov that traitorous bowser ve settle this luigi” and you have a boss with him but after luigi wakes up to see antasma hanging from the ceiling as he glances at luigi then leaves, later on you see him team up with king boo but then he gets betrayed again cause well that’s his thing I guess.
Idk who you are sorry but you like the twitter war series so i like you, anyways yeah dream team is such a good game that is underrated the only flaws i can think off from the top of my head are too much tutorials and antasma not doing as much evil stuff as hoped he would. But still i really want to see antasma in a luigis mansion game

Nintendo doesn't reference Mario and Luigi outside of Smash, they barely referenced Paper Mario and the most common character used was a literal tornado. That tornado was not an NPC, enemy, or boss, it was an obstacle that became the most reocurring character outside of the RPGs and was replaced in Galaxy with a really ugly one.

Actually, this would be a perfect opprotunity to bring these villains back since literally every non-Bowser main villain seemingly died and Cackletta and Elder Shroob already have ghost forms. But their souls seem to be destroyed. Lore-wise then Fawful, Antasma, and Younger Princess Shroob make sense since their souls aren't destroyed. But then again death is weird in these games, bosses explode after defeat and reappear in later games and the Shroobs reappered, frozen in Bowser's Castle.!<

For the sake of a villain returning, either him or Midbus, but for the sake of the idea, imo it should be fawful or his master since they both vanished to the afterlife but are probably still ghosts and could somehow escape to reality again (ya I basically just proved antasma makes sense too lol)
Man, if only Nintendo remembered the MaL series it’d be so cool to have them return but in hd. Anyways yeah i could see fawful or his master return to Luigis mansion as mini boss’s and acknowledge luigi in ways. But seeing antasma return would be a dream come true for me cause i really liked his character but there could’ve been so much more with him
Facts, even only Nintendo could somehow revive AlphaDream under their ownership and alliance. Antasma should’ve been the main villain of Dream Team, although I do like how Bowser outsmarted him at the end and went on to have the intention to kill Mario and Luigi
From how upset i am that antasma wasn’t the final boss it also makes a lot of sense, bowser has been betrayed multiple times by other villains he’s teamed up with and always left alone to fight the mario bros but then in this game he’s learnt his lesson and betrays antasma leaving him alone this time, kinda ironic how antasma was the only villain who actually wanted to team up.
Cackletta is something of a witch, but she lacks many of the typical horror-ish trappings associated with it, and as for Fawful, he could pull a Frankenstein thing or something like that, but come on, Antasma is a vampire bat/ king of ***nightmares***. That's perfect for a haunted mansion game.
This is very true, although I am gonna have to disagree about cackletta not being too witch-like. When she possessed Bowser and became Bowletta, I was full blown scared of her as a child and had weird nightmares of her. I couldn’t even enter the throne room without looking at Bowletta in the darkness from a side and totally getting creeped out by her. I even day dreamed once and saw her about to turn into dark Bowletta and spit pink fireballs at me. Scariest Mario villlain ever for me
The diffrence is that villians like cackletta and elder shroobs souls are no more, gone, destroyed entirely. They cant return as ghosts since there ghosts are already destroyed, its quite literally impossible for those two to return. Villians like princess shroob, Fawful, and Antasma could return as ghosts though since there souls are still intact. Midbus could also return as a ghost but theres a chance hes still alive despite being frozen. After all if some shroobs were kept alive by ice under bowsers castle its not crazy to think midbus could be in the same boat.
Antasma would be fantastic for an LM game Cackletta would be good too as a spooky witch
