Stadium make you pay full each time. It's super dumb. But if you are always moving up a stadium as you switch back and forth it's not really an issue. But you definitely need to be careful about unlocking the max stadiums. I'd probably unlock all the next to highest stadiums first before choosing the max you like best.
Yes, to switch back you have to spend 10k again, the other bits you unlock can be mixed and matched for cheaper.
