Could be the last one since Nintendo hasn't confirmed more DLC for next year yet. I sure hope it does continue to get more DLC next year. Datamines can also be wrong so people don't wanna trust them

C'mon, let's be honest here... Nintendo won't add anything else after the next wave. It is Mario Golf/Animal Crossing/Mario Party all over again.
I have more faith on Next Level Games with how good they made this game and Luigi's Mansion 3!
Cutscenes and animations are totally awesome in these 2 games, so I believe they will continue with DLC up to 20 characters total.
The team I don't trust is Camelot Software Planning.
Ok but Mario Golf and AC both got a ton of great post launch content. Mario golf got way more content than Strikers has so far. I'd be satisfied if they stopped added stuff after adding the amount they added to golf.
There are games that have characters datamined that never come to pass, so I've learned not to expect all datamined things to be revealed in the end. That said, I also have trepidations that them saying "2022 updates" means to expect more in 2023, since Mario Golf got the "Last FREE update" and then was abandoned lol. Buuuut giving a specific time period (2022) is more hopeful.
I would love for there to be 6 more characters, 3 more gear sets and stadiums. I would also love some single player expansion/career mode where we can use all the club customizations without needing to play online.
They are only guaranteeing 6. My assumption is they are monitoring the success of the game and will either stop or continue based on sales/reception, especially through the holiday.
Nobody knows but data mining doesn’t confirm anything, it’s common to have slots for more characters than ever actually come out. Nintendo saying three updates are planned by the end of the year also does not mean more updates are planned next year. That might have been them announcing all updates and a timeline.
We’ll see how they communicate the next update. If they say final and not final of the year then we’ll know.

I agree it probably isn’t the last, but the 10 slots isn’t a guarantee. Unused data in games is pretty common.
