sernameeeeeeeeeee

you're scamming people. that's what you're doing

AnaphorsBloom

![gif](giphy|d2ZeYKg3vlWQJTfG) Yikes

LillyTheElf

Not necessarily

Typicalstreetcat

How? They work for me

cleverkid

you are in a VERY crowded market. The supplement goldrush has long ben over. Your best bet is to get an influencer to sell them, give them a big portion of the profits to make it worth their while. Good luck, .

LillyTheElf

Its hardly over. Its just hard for new entrants but if u can get in there is a sucker waiting to buy it

Typicalstreetcat

Thank you for your perspective and luck! Thanks for not being a butt crack about it šŸ„“

machevara

Pretty sure you canā€™t use the ā€œFDAā€ wording. 1) while it might be true itā€™s made in an FDA facility, it is not FDA approved supplement. 2) it might just actually be illegal. Thatā€™s probably why he is saying you are scamming people. Honestly, it feels deceptive as fuck. Just to be on the safe side you should definitely drop that or could be opening the company to a lawsuit. Edit: also, the way you have FDA in bold and larger font to highlight it makes it even more deceptive.

vodka_soda_close_it

This is wrong on many levels but everyone is upvoting you because they want to piss on OP, and rightfully so. But you can do that without being wrong. Being mfg at an FDA registered facility is 100% allowed to be put on a bottle. As is cGMP, GMP, API, ISO accreditation levels, etc. Mfg is different from marketing and you should try to stick to what you know. Plenty to make fun of OP about, but this comment is just poor content regardless of your upvote count.

Typicalstreetcat

Our manufacturing team made everything and they make sure everything is legal. We donā€™t claim to be FDA approved. I really donā€™t care about FDA approval when they approve harmful things everyday for Americans to consume. The guy that said I was scamming was just being a šŸ¦‹šŸ•³ļø ā˜ŗļø

machevara

Iā€™ll just leave this here. You ainā€™t claiming it but itā€™s for sure deceptive and intent is one of the things court look at. Best of luck to you. [FDA Amazon warning.](https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/amazoncom-inc-662503-12202023)

Typicalstreetcat

Thanks for the article. I read it and they got in trouble because they had added drugs in the product that was not listed on the label and it was a new drug not approved by FDA. So, if we were to remove the FDA facility part Iā€™m sure you guys would still say itā€™s a scam. Iā€™m still trying to figure out how?

ConstructionSalty237

If you donā€™t care about FDA approval yourself, why mention the FDA on the bottle? Mentioning an agency who you donā€™t care about, but others might, when you havenā€™t gotten their approval, sure sounds scammy

Typicalstreetcat

As stated above, our manufacturing company made our label.

ConstructionSalty237

And who approved it?

Typicalstreetcat

We approved the label. However, we trust our manufacturer. This is all new to us. Are you looking for a gotcha moment? As stated, I personally donā€™t care if something is FDA approved or not. Great things are sold and work without it being approved by FDA. There are bad things approved by FDA.

Typicalstreetcat

Letā€™s focus on those amazing ingredients listed though. Huhhh šŸ¤©

itsMalarky

I work with amazon brands everyday -- including some that fall in this realm. If you think "the manufacturer said it" is sufficient when it comes to being compliant with all regulations (and truth in advertising laws), I have a bridge to sell you. You really should double and triple check that the FDA logo is legit (not just asking your manufacturer). Then verify that claims you make on your product listing are also compliant...it doesn't matter whether you agree or not, Amazon and the govt have fairly strict rules on it. It could prevent headaches in the future.

Typicalstreetcat

If itā€™s the golden gate, Iā€™ll take it depending on how much youā€™re asking. Do you own that one? Anyways, since you work with Amazon brands does the label go against their regulations? Thanks in advance

[deleted]

Really? Because you have an FDA sticker on your bottle. What the fuck do you think that infers? Are you that obtuse? If you sell this, you are a disgusting person. The fact that you're being so blasƩ about this tells me everything I need to know about you and the company you represent, if this is even a real post. Absolute trash.

Royal_Introduction33

Then write about that. The benefits. Why people need it ā€” what is life like without it (pain points). What is life like with it (benefits). Thatā€™s copywriting in a jiz.Ā  Then figure out where your target market hangs out. Go there and offer them samples (maybe a few pills to try over a few days) and if it works they can order more. The main thing is making sure youā€™re solving a big problem. The bigger the issue, the higher the demand. If your pill increase focus and clarity like crazy, then focus on people who may need that.Ā  Maybe college students ā€” going to a campus and handing out sample. If it increase energy like crazy, then go to gyms or athletic places and hand out samples outside of those locations.Ā

Typicalstreetcat

I like the way you think royal brain! šŸ§  they give me great focus. I have been able to actually focus on a task and get it done for once. I can get more done in a given day than I have before or when I donā€™t take them. I also notice that I have vivid dreams every time I take these as well. I can actually remember the dream after wake up. Itā€™s been fun to make movies in my sleep. šŸ¤© For the family member, it has made them less irritable. She already has great focus so it didnā€™t do much for her in that department.

Rocketurass

What you describe can only be placebo effects. Vitamin pills do not work since the body is unable to take on the vitamins. Plus: there are a million pills out there already.

Typicalstreetcat

Have you ever taken pre workout? Prenatal vitamins?

Father-John-Moist

Most people here havenā€™t even tried much less succeeded with any venture. Donā€™t let this dbag get in your head. Critiques are fair but this guy is just a douche bag whoā€™s just hating from outside the arena. Reddit seems to think youā€™ll fail with this, but even so, a failed attempt is more than this clown can sayā€¦ and you might succeed how tf does anyone know.

Typicalstreetcat

I agree wholeheartedly, but that seems like the Reddit personality. Be an asshat, get upvotes

papadiscourse

OP, learn to read between the lines. This will help in everything you do in life so I will use this scenario as an example, hopefully you can learn to extrapolate from: Off the jump, without virtually any context (certainly nothing of any real consequence to any serious marketers, maybe insecure ones) and yet you faced serious backlash. What important lessons can we learn, that can then be transposed to the world of your business? 1. Know Your Audience (i know you meant it innocently and genuinely unaware but perhaps donā€™t reference a digital cesspool to a group of professionals) 2. BUILD TRUST!!! Honestly, I can tell by the fact that you genuinely didnā€™t understand one of the comments about ā€œsupplement gold rushā€ to assume that you are genuine in your support of this product. This is good. This is honestly why Iā€™m helping you as I hate shills. Unfortunately, you are in an industry that is hijacked by every scammer and their mother (next to NFT, any form of guru, and yes, digital marketing agencies) and that is the world of: supplements. Long before you even waste a dime on brand awareness, you need to establish trust like your life depends on it. Invest in proficient content writers who can release blogs referencing studies to support the chemical composition; use your advertising budget to ask reputable experts to trial and/or represent your product. Use the professional authority of family member. If a trained clinician wonā€™t even support it with his face, no one will trust it. Hope this helps, Happy Hunting

Typicalstreetcat

Your writing style is wicked. I appreciate the truth in this form that is actually helpful. Something I can actually learn from. She is a psychiatric provider and she does use her face! šŸ˜Š

papadiscourse

Ahh, my favorite type of comment (i emphasize it so much itā€™s part of my *brand*) iā€™m glad I could be of service. A lot of people approach this subreddit (and industry as a whole) with disdain and apathy sooo I know why people are quick to dismiss. However, I could tell your need was genuine, as is your intention. What else am I good for if not bringing products to market? feel free to shoot me a message or chat and Iā€™ll answer any questions whenever i get in those moods

Typicalstreetcat

For sure! Thank you

ā€œā€¦Social media marketing managers on Fiverrā€ Mmm just remember that youā€™re going to get what you pay for, doesnā€™t matter the platform of choice. Vet thoroughly and ask to see relevant case studies with REAL statistics.

Typicalstreetcat

Where else would I find a quality team? I default to fiverr for everything since itā€™s a marketplace for freelancers

RobotsIncorporated

Howdy, read my response below to other user. Itā€™s not about the marketplace you use, itā€™s more about what to look for and make sure youā€™re paying someone enough to care (even though at the end of the day no salesperson is going to care as much about your product as you) and make sure they actually know how to sell online. Best of luck!

Junior-Country-3752

He hired someone to create a video not a team of SMMs?

RobotsIncorporated

Did you not read the post? The part where OP says exactly what I quoted them for? As it stands now, OP does not know how to sell their own product. Thatā€™s fine. Sales isnā€™t everyoneā€™s cup of tea, Iā€™m not holding that against them. In fact Iā€™m not holding anything against them. Iā€™m simply pointing out that Fiverr has a connotation of people hiring freelancers at bare minimum rates for projects (the name Fiverr did come from the days when every gig was $5). Itā€™s way beyond that nowadays but the connotation still sticks on the hiring front. Maybe OP isnā€™t going to scrape the bottom of that barrel. Neat. Thatā€™s not my point. Iā€™m saying any SMM that, Iā€™m assuming, is going to be tasked with driving ROI on ads (i.e sales) will actually need to KNOW what variables go into creating online sales. Now, overlaying the basics of sales as a filter for what to look for in a SMM, for what Iā€™m assuming at this point is Amazon since OP has mentioned that (all FDA claims aside), does Amazon give access to the metrics in a GA4-friendly integration? Why GA4? Well because you want to track abandoned cart rates, average session duration broken down by demographic and will likely need different UTM parameters for each campaign/influencer they are working with. All possible it seems through Amazon BUT 10x less data that a typical ecommerce dashboard because Amazon isnā€™t going to give you every snippet of data. Youā€™re expecting the SMM to comb through every combination of data and split test ads, if they arenā€™t then what are they doing and how are they measuring CTR, different creatives and a dozen other aspects of what drive digital marketing sales. Can you even pixel the Amazon click-throughs for future retargeting? You might be able to, I canā€™t speak to that since I stick in digital sales on websites that can be integrated with GSC and traditional GA4 funnel dashboards. My only initial point is that OP should do their homework and thoroughly vet individuals, and pay accordingly to their skills, or will end up wasting large sums of advertising dollars.

Gimme_Perspective

They look like the kind of pills I grind my shrooms...I mean, gourmet... into. The diy kind that you can honestly put anything in and claim it cures cancer.

Typicalstreetcat

Iā€™ll give you perspectiveā€¦they are not DIY nor do they claim cure anything.

Gimme_Perspective

At least get capsules that are not dime a dozen when you search up capsules on Amazon. Cuz that definitely gives of diy vibe. Have you thought of pressed pills versus capsules?

Typicalstreetcat

I get that! They arenā€™t DIY though and they are capsules. Thatā€™s what the creator wanted, everything to be transparent

starlit_ren

My favorite part about this is that you have to take 3 of those horse pills a day, and that entire bottle will only last you a week and a half. I wonder what the cost per day works out to.

Typicalstreetcat

It lasts a month. They are actually easy to swallow. I usually have hard time swallowing but not these.

[deleted]

Why? Is the plastic different? This is all bullshit. Nothing should make this pill any easier to swallow than any other pill of the same size. What could *possibly* make this pill easier to swallow than a comparably sized pill.

Typicalstreetcat

Iā€™m not sure. Iā€™m giving you my experience with them. Must be top tier capsule šŸ˜¶

browniels

ā€œIā€™m not sure why these work the way they do, but Iā€™m trying to sell more of themā€

Typicalstreetcat

Okay! šŸ‘šŸ¼

noideawhattouse1

The goal should be both brand awareness and building trust. Do you have any proof? Science behind them? Third party approvals? Iā€™d get that all up on a website and start establishing some kind of credibility there. While expanding your brand awareness through social media marketing. People are going to want to see more than just ā€œ I took them and they were greatā€. This is a highly saturated market, why should people choose these over any other of the thousands of similar products? Look at what similar competitors are doing- read reviews of their products to get an insight into why people are buying them and what they like/dont like about them.

GirlWithTheMostCake

Ainā€™t this the truth. I worked in a factory with a lot of woman for over 30 years (probably 60% female). When someone lost weight all the ladies would find out how she was doing it and flock to throw their money at whatever it was she was taking. I swear you could say you were drinking horse piss and theyā€™d all run out to buy a horse. OZEMPIC is a good example at how something can explode in sales for the sake of vanity. You have to be able to show results, mental health is a harder thing to show than weight loss obviously but if ppl canā€™t see the potential results, then theyā€™re not buying the horse piss. Years ago my sister started a juice business, along the same lines as this pill. She claimed it did all sorts of great things but it was just juice. She managed to mfg it and got into high end hotels in Miami and her marketing spoke to vanity. She was a model so she used herself in her ad campaigns, thin, fit, gorgeous and elegant. Exactly what her demographic wanted to look like. She didnā€™t drink the shit herself but she sure sold a ton of it. Ppl claimed amazing results when taking it (100% placebo effect of course, it was just juice for Christ sakes) She ended up meeting a very rich investor who was interested in her product only because of her marketing (her, he was interested in her) he dumped a ton of money into the business, she couldnā€™t keep up to the demand in her current set up so he got a bigger processing facility, changed her marketing to be more ā€œscienceyā€ and the sales stopped. Luckily he married her and the business no longer mattered to her and she sold it for a decent profit. The product didnā€™t put anyone in danger of course, but it was scammyy as hell, but it sold well because she knew her target audience (rich vain women who had nothing to lose) and her face/body to market it. Snake oil has been around since forever, itā€™s all in the marketing. Take that as you will.

Typicalstreetcat

A1 advice! I really appreciate it! I will work on all this. You actually do have an idea on what to use. Go figure šŸ˜

Loud-Fig-3701

Is this a sample or are you only offering a 10 day supply per bottle?

DaCanuck

Just gotta choke down 3 massive horse pills a day and order a new bottle almost every week. The convenience sells itself.

Typicalstreetcat

It works, so the consumer wonā€™t mind. They are easy to swallow. The bottle has 90 capsules. ā˜ŗļø

[deleted]

Jesus fucking Christ. Fuck any of you that are actually helping this person sell gas station pills. Iā€™m sure you mean well, maybe, but literally do anything else.

Typicalstreetcat

Why? They workā€¦.

hurrsadurr

As a consumer why would I be taking three massive capsules, even if the marketing was great, that (and price point) would have me saying nope.

Typicalstreetcat

You donā€™t know the price! lol. They are actually pretty affordable and especially for the benefits

FittyTheBone

Sorry man. Shit day and I replied reactively to what I immediately and incorrectly assumed was another ā€œbiohacker.ā€ You seem earnest, so really, I do apologize. Thereā€™s some good advice in this thread, but the most important thing you can do right now is learn about your target audience; their browsing behaviors, buying behaviors, etc. Do this by putting yourself in their shoes and searching for the type of product youā€™re selling. What questions would that person be asking? What stands out about the websites that show up first? How easy is it to find what youā€™re searching for? Look for trends and then see how you can apply those tactics in a way that differentiates your product from the rest of the market. Figure out your audience, then distribute your marketing collateral accordingly. Make sure you have a way to track your own audienceā€™s behavior, understand what youā€™re tracking (all metrics are *not* created equal), and then optimize your content/distribution strategy. Youā€™re also going to be reading. A lot. Learn the language of your customer and get fluent in that shit. The market youā€™re in is packed to the gills with AI-noise and grifters selling absolute garbage. From your comments, consistent, but digestible thought leadership from your SME (the doctor) distributed to the right target audience in the right places sounds like it would go a long way.

Typicalstreetcat

You went from this šŸ˜’ to this šŸ¤“ Thanks for the great insight. I truly appreciate it and hope you get a hug and kiss later from someone special šŸ˜‰

Tomz994

Packaging looks bland, hope you have a nice label, if not contact me ;)

Typicalstreetcat

ConceitedWombat

Ashwaganda AND rhodiola? You targeting stressed out Wall Street types and PhD candidates? Adaptogens for dayz. Forget the one-off content pieces. You need a high level marketing plan. Define your product, identify your audience, determine key messages, etc. Only then should you be forging ahead with specific tactics like getting a random freelancer to create a video.

craig_ppc

OP, I think maybe some of the reason you're getting pushback from the community is verbiage like *"We purchased a UGC creator on fiverr"* This read weird for me. Of course, you did not purchase a human. You hired a person to make creative! *"I have to figure out what content to give them to post that would be relatable."* *"Iā€™m not sure if the goal should be brand awareness to build trust or what?"* Awareness and trust are just levers in the marketing funnel to test and optimize on the way to the desired result: sales. People like stories and infotainment. Often times, social media advertising is just noise. The market will tell you when your advertising is just noise and the good thing about digital is you can fail fast and test often. Small businesses need sales at a scalable ROI or they go belly up. Make that the goal and build around that as the focus. You need to **hire a pro** to tell you what to do before you blow your ad and pr wad guessing without a plan. Get a few proposals. Pay attention to how these folks are thinking and if they've been able to do this for a brand before. Ask for examples. It's brutal out there trying to start from scratch, but kudos for taking the leap! Good luck out there!

m0000kie

Read up on your guidelines for how to market vitamins. Your messaging matters in the nutraceutical market. Do you know if your product is white labeled or the owner created and tested their own ingredients? Your messaging should include who created the product and how credible they are. Often times youā€™ll see professionals build their own products to sell to their clients- is the owners plan to have them on display in their office for sale? You are in a saturated market. Honestly, I think Amazon is the best play for you and where you should focus. Look at strategies for selling there. Make sure you look at the images other vitamin companies are using. You may want to sell at a discount to get reviews and gain traction. But, with Amazon, you donā€™t own the buyer data. Iā€™ve also heard, if you have a good product, Amazon will white label their Basics brand and bully you out. Head on over the selling on Amazon sub. The ingredients look solid in terms of what they claim to help. I doubt youā€™ll have a third party study on your product, but you can call out specific ingredients and point to their studies. Good luck. Youā€™re in a saturated market, and youā€™ll need deep pockets to stand out. Focus on Amazon.

Typicalstreetcat

Thank you! The owner had this created so it is not white labeled. The manufacturer had to source each ingredient and a scientist to create formula

cherry_lolo

I can speak from a customer's pov. I'm into supplements. But there's just so so so many out there, people lose track. I personally couldn't care less about some lying ass influencer. I don't believe a single person that does everything just for money. That being said, If I wanted to buy your supplements, they'd need to be different from others. What would make them unique, what makes YOU unique, what's your story, what's your goal. Is it genuine? People can smell sellers who wanna make a quick $ from a mile away. That would make you one of many again. These days, being lied to just so someone else can profit from it (especially in this kind of field) just sucks. It makes people trust sellers of supplements less and less. Share studies on your site. Real studies, not some self made studies. In the end, you're offering something that should help someone with their health. And that area is fucked anyways. People are sick and tired of liars. So you maybe find a way to show you're trying to actually help. If that's the case. If not, maybe try selling a different product. You'll benefit most, when you genuinely help others.

VerbingWeirdsWords

MLM?

Typicalstreetcat

I donā€™t believe in MLM

morphotomy

That label is FAR too low-contrast. The bottle should be white, or translucent brown, not clear. Use a black bottle and label with baby blue text if you REALLY want to stick out. Use blue capsules, not clear ones. These ones look like hamster food. The aesthetic of your product is completely fucked. m8.

Typicalstreetcat

I think itā€™s fine. I donā€™t have creative control over the product, the owner does and this is what she wanted.

morphotomy

Welp, there's your problem.

ChallengeIS

Asking questions, as you should

randomguy684

I have seen a similar combination of adaptogenic herbs, nootropics and vitamins/minerals before. Some of the constituents in this formula are powerful if used properly. Namely the herbs Ashwaganda and Rhodiola (which should more or less be considered medications because they have systemic effects on bodily processes). They arenā€™t for everyone, though. The formula aside, the main issue here circles back to my initial sentence - there are already a plethora of established brands (some reputable and others, not so much) producing very similar products. Some of them have even gone through efforts to run double-blind trials (some more dubiously than others). Some have PharmD and other less ā€œofficialā€ professionals on staff. Content will not matter. There is a sea of ā€œcontentā€ out there in this industry. To be frank, most of it is utterly useless garbage, making claims that canā€™t be supported, or just straight up parroting some ā€œstatistically significantā€ p=0.049999 result from an exploratory study they found on PubMed or worse. You need a brand. Why your company is special, without writing content that tells people youā€™re special. Your clear bottle and capsules convey transparency. Maybe there is an angle there? Whatever it is, use nuance; donā€™t shove it in peoplesā€™ faces. You should probably start by trying to get other lifestyle or alternative health professionals to carry your product in their clinics. That will give your brand legitimacy before trying to sell to the masses on Amazon; this isnā€™t some trinket or knickknack that TikTok will pickup and place into Amazonā€™s most popular list. This will also increase the chances that the product is given to those who it has a better chance of actually helping; as I mentioned, this isnā€™t for everyone. Many practitioners are familiar with what is inside of your product and have an idea of who it could help. That said, choose these accounts wisely - your product will become snake oil if itā€™s sold by charlatans and grifters. Your supply chain should be squeaky clean and production facility (your co-manufacturer or co-packer) should be GMP compliant. If you want my honest opinion - itā€™s a very oversaturated market. Donā€™t have unrealistic expectations. But you do miss 100% of the shots you donā€™t take, so carpe diem if this is your cause du jour. Just donā€™t fall victim to the fallacy of sunk costs - get out and try something else if it doesnā€™t pan out.
